Aedica is a larger world approximately 1.6 times Earth's size meaning that a human weighting 150lbs on Earth would weigh 225lbs on Aedica. The planet itself is covered in lush grassland planes and dense forest of various kinds giving way arctic regions at the poles. Due to the higher gravity Aedica also possess a thicker atmosphere. The Aedicans themselves are a light species. Their bones are a sturdy mix of calcium and carbon fiber. Their muscles are highly efficient lending them the additional strength needed to survive the higher gravity. Aedicans in general are larger than humans with an average height of approximately 8 feet with some individuals as all as 9.5 feet. They also possess superior hearing to most species though this gives them a heightened sensitivity to high pitched noises .Given their size and great strength most species expect an Aedicans to be appropriately tough and combat oriented. This expectation is seldom lived up to. Aedicans rather than being war like are rather peaceful and kind as a people. Their species is renowned for their Architecture and Engineering skills, specifically their FTL drive cores which are among the most efficient available. They are however not beings of change aside from technology. They have been slow to colonize preferring to take their time and plan each step. They tend to be uncomfortable with sudden changes. As such they are not quite as common in the greater galaxy. This is partly due to biology. While the lighter gravity most species are used to presents little difficulty for them they are less active in the comparatively thinner atmosphere most species are used to. An Aedican exerting itself under normal grav and air conditions will tire more quickly.\n\nRemis is a young Aedican the equivalent of an 18 year old human though in actuality is closer 20 given his species slightly longer life spans. Remis is a relatively quite an shy individual with a flair for Architecture. He often spends his free time sketching the buildings and stations in his mind. Standing at just barely 7 feet tall Remis has often been passed over and mistaken to be younger than he actually is. He tends to be socially awkward around his own species and others at times which is not helped by his incontinence. Remis' incontinence was the result of an illegal gene modded pet escaping it's owner and going on a rampage. Remis was attacked by the animal leaving a scar on his lip and a larger one on the small f the back where the creature dug into his backbone.
