But I guess that's what happens when it's a while between good arts. \n\nVault Tech had many plans for their Vaults back before the war. Social experiments practically beyond imagining. Most of them had spine chilling results. A few were exactly what they advertised as but Vault 123 was not quite what one expected. Vault 123 took in no people on the day the bombs fell. Instead populated by a number of humanoid androids and overseen by a Central AI which would come to be called \"Mother\" began to grow it's inhabitants. Altered genetically these children born in the Vault and raised by androids would never grow up. They would remain child-like for the rest of their lives. But they would learn. With their neurology pushed a bit farther the Children quickly demonstrated astounding intellect. Technologies were developed, new fields of science charted, and debates abound. The only thing that slowed it was a break for playtime, a nap, or a diaper change. While the Children were geniuses in their chosen fields they remained quite child-like in their mannerism. Indeed infantile would be more accurate. Still these pint sized scientist managed to improve upon their technology and indeed expand their Vault much deeper underground. Not bad for a bunch of big babies.\n\n\"Well you look cranky.\" Scott said as he toddled down the hall next to his blond haired friend.\n\n\"I'm having trouble with the new Laser Pistol configuration and I really need a change and I think I got a rash.\"- Lucas grouched as they walked into the changing room flanked by their attendant.\n\n\"I will apply additional rash ointment and powder this time.\" Atom said that calm soothing voice with just a trace of being synthesized as he lifted Lucas up onto the nearby changing table.\n\n\"Well I saw the figures. Of course your having trouble. The particle count is waaaaay too low.\" Scott said as he looked up waiting his turn.\n\n\"For the last time it is not!\" Lucas yelled and held up a hand to gesticulate. \"I upped the beam confinement and increased the particle flow. It'll work!
