Having erected a colossal device in the middle of the Dead Sands - the Elemental Conjugation, the great luminary called out to the most powerful entities of the elemental levels, offering them the right to be in the mortal world in exchange for its protection. Его предки населяли Ланкар (и продолжают делать это и сейчас), но часть из них добровольно поменяли место обитания на залитый пламенем мир, постепенно меняясь под воздействием здешней магии. Даже в учёных кругах мало кто знает об существовании этих величественных существ, в фольклоре же большинства смертных, образ солнечных драконов является полумифическим, в отличии от обычных драконов, которые хоть и крайне редко, но можно встретить на просторах Ланкара. Будучи бессмертными духами, Индра и сородичи - могут не беспокоиться о физическом увядании, однако, всё ещё способны пасть от рук могущественных сил. В таком случае, тело дракона тот час же сгорает, оставляя после себя лишь груду обугленных костей и перьев. Но, несмотря на все риски, Индра ни разу не пожалел о своём выборе.
Индра жизнерадостен и оптимистичен, по-настоящему наслаждается всеми прелестями и благами жизни в материальном мире. "Ahura - great and incomprehensible, ancient, like the Universe itself. Their greatest creation is the Spheres of the Worlds - huge, hollow planetoids, on the inner surface of which there is a landscape full of life - forests, mountains, rivers and seas. One such world was Lankar. The blessed rays of Mithra, an artificial, god-like luminary, endowed with powerful magic and intelligence, warmed the world below with warmth and light, illuminating the azure skies, and a strong outer shell of pitch-black meteorite steel protected the inner space from the horrors of the distorted Cosmos.
This went on for many millennia, ancient kingdoms arose and died away, people and other intelligent races built majestic cities and settlements. Some of these empires reached an unprecedented flowering of culture and technology. But alas, one day all this came to an end, when from the depths of the Cosmos a creature of the starry abyss invaded Lankar - Ahriman, the most terrible relic of the incredibly ancient internecine war of the Akhurs, one of those who never managed to track down and destroy. The "Destroyer of Worlds", an autonomous mechanism similar to a colossal dagger-like comet, pierced the outer shell of the Sphere with a black spear, rushing towards its center in order to hit the very heart - Mithra, thereby destroying all life inside. Fortunately, the enemy was defeated in a powerful flash of all-burning light, splitting into many fragments. The largest of them - a devilish thorn stuck in Mithra's body, like an arrowhead in the body of a warrior. They still retain some of the original power and the great luminary has to restrain the remains of his killer, which takes most of his strength, as a result of which Mithra was forced to establish the Eternal Day mode, not being able to at least for a second weaken the intensity of his light.
But these were not all the troubles that befell Lankar. Part of the fragments of Ahriman fell on the world below, and gravity carried them across the entire inner area of the Sphere. The wreckage carried fragments of Ahriman's diabolical AI and the remnants of the twisted magic that gave him power. The areas where the fragments collapsed turned into dead places, exuding dark and distorting emanations, giving rise to nightmarish, infernal creatures that spread like filth all over the world. Worse, Mithra's forced outbreak scorched the surface of the Sphere, causing temporary climate change, the death of many people, animals, and crops, leading to a prolonged famine and the decline of ancient civilizations. The place where Ahriman pierced the shell of the Sphere was reconstructed by internal systems, but the area around it turned into a lifeless zone of the Dead Sands.
In order to protect the world from demonic creatures that filled its expanses and to give intelligent races the opportunity to restore civilization, Mithra turned to the Elemental Planes, from the substance of which all the Spheres were once created and which have always been firmly connected with the material world. Having erected a colossal device in the middle of the Dead Sands - the Elemental Conjugation, the great luminary called out to the most powerful entities of the elemental levels, offering them the right to be in the mortal world in exchange for its protection. Earlier, only small and medium-sized spirits could penetrate here. The genies, ifrits and archelementals became Lankar's formidable defenders, effectively exterminating the spawn of darkness and distorted creatures on land, in the sky and the depths of the ocean, thereby protecting the peace of mortals. Many of these fiends were banished to the Deep Labyrinths - a artificial dungeon of the world, which is an endless network of service passages and dark majestic halls that permeate the entire shell of the Sphere.
Unfortunately, some of the newly arrived defenders eventually fell, corrupted by the darkness they had to contend with. Their minds reeled, poisoned by the hatred and madness of Ahriman's fragmented consciousness lurking in his fragments. So, instead of the guardians of the world, they became the main threat to him, leading the legions of evil spirits. The strongest of the Fallen is Zahhak Blackwind, an ancient archelemental of god-like might. Fortunately, most of the elemental beings retained their sanity, overcame all temptations and did not break their oath.
One such entity who accepted Mithra's offer and remained true to his duty was Indra, a young solar dragon from the Elemental Plane of Fire, nicknamed the Flaming Hand. His ancestors inhabited Lankar (and continue to do so now), but some of them voluntarily changed their habitat to a world filled with flames, gradually changing under the influence of local magic. Even in scientific circles, few people know about the existence of these majestic creatures, but in the folklore of most mortals, the image of solar dragons is semi-mythical, unlike ordinary dragons, which, although extremely rare, can be found in the vastness of Lankar. As immortal spirits, Indra and his kindred may not worry about physical decay, however, they are still able to fall at the hands of powerful forces. In this case, the dragon's body immediately burns down, leaving behind only a pile of charred bones and feathers. But, despite all the risks, Indra never regretted his choice.
Indra is cheerful and optimistic, truly enjoys all the charms and benefits of life in the material world. He has an adventurous spirit, which is why he likes to travel in anthropomorphic form, not revealing his true nature to mortals, even to other, simple Lankar dragons.
