While Corneria never really had a winter season in this part of the planet, it still was considered a cold time of the year that they were approaching. The leaves of the trees all around began to change color to beautiful shades of gold, amber, yellow, orange and tan. \n\tEveryone on team Star Fox was given a week of time off after a short time of preparation and training duties during this middle of the season. Upon deciding what to do and where to go, Leo made the suggestion to head to the hills and literally get away from it all. Most were onboard with the thought, only a few mildly reluctant to going out and camp in the middle of nowhere when the weather changes, but they soon changed their minds.\n\tThe Great Fox docked into a large field nearby a parking lot leading to a hiking trail going up into the forest and the mountains. Everyone carried their own pack with a shared amount of weight to carry supplies for the camp out. They all then hiked up a trail and spent a good two hours of walking to go the entire 8 miles to a spot Leo knew from his childhood very well.\n\t“So what is this spot you know about, honey?” Miyu asked Leo as they and Krystal walk side by side on the trail, everyone else following behind. \n\t“We're heading to a big secluded spot with a lot of space at the edge of the trees that is connected to a light trail that heads to a stream a few hundred yards from a gentle stream,” Leo replied. “This is a spot my parents and I and some of our other family used to camp out at during the spring holidays. Great wide open space where a big family can relax and watch the stars at night and have a fun and comfortable time.”\n\t“This section reminds me a lot of the forests on Sauria,” Krystal said.\n\t“It does, actually,” Fox said from behind them as he, Fara, Katt and Falco held up a pair of lightweight metal bars where several bags of lightweight canvas bags of some tools, tents, cooking items and sleeping bags hung from. Behind them, Bill and Fay, Peppy and Lucy, and Slippy and Amanda followed close by to the group carrying a hiking pack with all of their supplies.\n\tThe hike took only a few minutes more before they arrived at the spot Leo had mentioned, and indeed it was gorgeous and very much as he described. As they looked away from the direction they hiked in from, the mountains rose up several miles beyond into a bowl formation around the area making it seem like a serene sheltered valley. The place was devoid of bugs this time of year as well, so usage of the repellent they brought would be very minimal to non-existent. “Here it is!” Leo proudly announced.\n\t“Oh wow, this is a gorgeous place, Leo!” Lucy said happily.\n\t“It is, darling,” Peppy said. “A nice quiet secluded place to relax for a few days. I'm glad we came out here.”\n\t“Me too,” Katt said. “Even I have to admit that city life was starting to get redundant and blah.”\n\t“I kinda prefer the city life, but this will be a decent change,” Falco said.\n\t“At least it's not in the wilds of Papetoon, Falco!” Slippy said. “If one could call it that, anyway.”\n\t“You got that right,” Fox began. “I remember the nights there are so cold and brutal, even in that cave we lived in when we were in exile several years back.” \n\t“Yeah, I remember that week on that planet for me was enough to not live there with the temperature extremes,” Leo said.\n\t“I don't mind it so much, mate,” Fara said with a smile. “But then again, I was born and raised there, so that would be why.”\n\t“Yeah well... we all don't have some of the biggest and cutest ears to radiate heat with, either,” Fox said smiling at Fara, giving her a wink before smooching her cheek softly, the comment making Fara smile and blush happily. Leo smiled and gave Fox a grin and a thumbs up, seeing how Fox and Fara were getting along well since they finally started dating. They were an incredibly adorable couple in Leo's eyes. He often wondered if it was on the same level of attraction that Leo and Miyu's parents saw in them.\n\tThey all lowered their gear into different spots around a designated fire pit that looked like it hadn't seen a fire in many years. Falco and Bill began to unpack the tool bag and brought out a pair of two-handled saws and then headed off to a dead tree nearby and started to gather wood for the fire. Fox and Fara along with Peppy and Lucy began setting up their tents, Katt and Fay helping each other with each of theirs while the boys were off getting wood gathered, Slippy and Amanda doing the same before going by the campfire to sort out all the cooking tools and foods for meals. \n\t“Hey girls, think you could help me with the beer and wine bottles and I'll grab the watermelon?” Leo asked as he grabbed the large fruit.\n\t“Sure... where are we going with them?” Miyu asked in confusion, the look on Krystal's face matching.\n\t“To the stream just over there,” Leo said. They then walked along a small and barely noticeable trail that led off into a small group of tall trees along a stream. Leo then put the watermelon into a fishing net and set in into the stream, the water feeling very chilly to the touch. “Perfect temperature! By dessert time tonight, this melon will be cool, crisp and incredibly sweet.”\n\t“Oooohhhhh clever idea, Leo. Drinks will be nice and cold too, then,” Krystal said as she and Miyu were getting on with what Leo was talking about, gently setting the beers and wines in the water to chill as well. Leo then set to filling their canteens with the clean chilly water to bring back to camp.\n\t“Yeah, when my father went camping here as a kid many years back, they came here and grandma always did this with the watermelon,” Leo said.\n\tMiyu and Krystal smiled as they knelt down on Leo's sides and hugged him softly, their tails wagging happily. “I'm glad you suggested this, sweetie. We haven't done much, but I'm already feeling very good from the atmosphere,” Miyu said.\n\t“Me too, sweetheart. I'm loving this so much so far,” Krystal said.\n\tLeo smiled and wrapped his arms around his girls and bunny purred happily. “I'm happy to hear it, loves,” he said sweetly. They held together for a few more minutes before they got up and collected their canteens, Leo extending an arm for each of his loves, Miyu and Krystal wrapping an arm in each and walking back with Leo to the campsite. On the way back, Leo had noticed some aspen and birch trees that had some bark peeling off, so he grabbed a few handfuls of it to use as tinder. There were also several clumps of dry grass that he grabbed as well he knew he could use as tinder as well.\n\tBy the time they had returned, almost all of the tents were put up, save Miyu, Krystal and Leo's. Bill and Falco had collected quite a few pieces of firewood while using two saws alternating push and pull motions to get two pieces at the same time. Slippy had set up a tripod with cooking pot as well as an elevated grilling grate dug into the ground by the edge of the fire pit, Amanda preparing meals for later lunch and dinner. She started making foil-wrapped fire lunches packed with small cuts of beef and veggies that could simply be places in the embers of the campfire to cook slowly over time.\n\tPeppy sat with Lucy in front of their tent and hugged close, not having spent a lot of time with each other in such a long time since the war began over 5 years ago, still feeling a bit of a loss that Vivian could not be with them to enjoy this as well. Fox and Fara finished their tent and sleeping bags quickly and used some of the time to cuddle and hold close to each other, something they hadn't done since the weeks and months after they first met. \n\tMiyu went to grab a few stumps of wood from Falco and Bill as they continued to saw away at the big dead tree to grab more fuel for the fire and proceeded to chop it into quarter pieces with an axe and then handed them off to Leo. Leo then used his knife and a piece of wood to create even smaller shreds of wood that could be used to get the fire going. Katt and Fay, not having spent much time in the wilderness themselves sat by Leo and watched him to see how he was doing things, learning wood and fire preparation techniques quickly. \n\tOnce Leo had acquired and prepped enough wood to begin a fire, the sun was high in the sky at noon time, then Leo began placing bundles of dry grass under some sheets of birch bark before covering them with small pieces of wood. “Need a match, Leo?” Falco said as he and Bill, Fox and Fara walked up to watch Leo, the show suddenly on the bunny.\n\t“Hehe Nah, that's too easy. Amanda?” he said.\n\t“Yes, Leo?” Amanda asked in curiosity.\n\t“Could you go into the first aid kit and grab me the glycerin and the potassium permanganate antiseptic, please? I won't use much of either,” Leo asked politely.\n\tEveryone's face took on a look of utter confusion at the request. “Um, okay...” she replied and went off to get it. She then returned with the items in question and handed them to Leo. \n\t“Thank you, dear,” he said. He then opened the potassium permanganate and placed a small pile of the metallic granules on the ground under the grass and birch bark and sealed it up and gave back to Amanda. He then opened the glycerin bottle and poured a small amount on top of the granules and closed the container to give back to Amanda, and just sat still. Everyone shrugged as they looked at each other, not knowing what in the world was going on. Amanda wracked her brain in chemistry to try and figure out what Leo was up to, and in less than a minute, she thought she knew, but she had never thought of it before now.\n\tAfter only a minute or two, the glycerin and antiseptic granules began to emit a gentle wisp of smoke, everyone leaning in in surprise as they watched closer, several more seconds going by before the smoke intensified before the pile erupted into a chemical flame that set the tinder on fire and then the small pieces of wood. Everyone chuckled and cheered with applause at the performance, Leo sitting and shrugging with a grin on his face. “Wooooow duuuuude, that is amazing!” Bill said happily. \n\t“That is the SECOND time I've seen our bun start a fire without matches or a lighter,” Miyu said proudly as she hugged him from the side and gave him a smooch on the cheek. “Smarty bun.”\n\t“Eeee... I have Survivalman to thank for that,” Leo said with a closed-eyed grin. He then got up and looked over in the direction of the dead tree they got the wood from and the other tall dead trees several feet away. “Gonna go off and get some other things for the fire,” he then said.\n\t“Need some help, hon?” Miyu asked.\n\t“Just need to grab some long poles from those skinny trees, six of them about six feet long,” he said. “Also gonna need to utilize some of our small climbing rope to tie them together in two three-pole sets.”\n\tMiyu and Bill went to grab some folding saws to help Leo collect what he needed, and in less than 15 minutes they came back with the small diameter poles to the fire pit Leo then made a tripod of three logs on each side of the fire opposite each other and tied off the joint where all three logs joined at the top, making a sort of ramp lowering towards the fire. Leo then put two of the logs Bill and Falco cut off the dead tree and placed them at the foot of the wooden ramps on either side of the fire, and more logs up the ramp.\n\t“Ooooohhhhh that is clever, Leo,” Peppy said as he saw what he was doing.\n\t“Not sure I get it, pops,” Falco replied to Peppy.\n\t“Those bottom two logs in the fire will burn off in about an hour to an hour and a half, and when it does, it will lose structural strength and allow the two logs behind it to fall into the fire, and the process repeats until all the logs are gone,” Peppy explained. “It's a self-feeding fire setup.”\n\t“Oooohhhh okay!” Falco replied, giving Leo a pat on the shoulder. “Nicely done, bro!” \n\t“Thanks, guy,” Leo said, smiling.\n\t“Makes me wonder how many more fire-starting tricks our bunny has,” Krystal said. “I was totally prepared to grab my staff to start it because I didn't know what everyone was bringing.”\n\tSeveral chuckled as Leo wrapped his arms around Krystal and Miyu happily, sitting happily together in front of the fire on the tree log “Hehe I know several more,” Leo suggested.\n\t“Now we can at least get some coals to cook some lunch,” Slippy said happily, placing wrapped tinfoil meals onto some of the first coals in the fire. \n\t“While that is going, I think I might head downstream to get some fish for dinner,” Leo said, going to grab a plastic bottle of water and taking a small bag out of his pocket. He knew that some fish were known to flow down the stream where they got water from and this time of year there was still a decent flow of them going down. Bill joined him with some fishing gear to go out and acquire some fish as well. They had a friendly competition as to whom would catch the most, no particular prize or anything, but just a friendly fun time together. Bill was surprised to see Leo simply wrap fishing line around his plastic bottle with a hook and use the bottle as the rod and reel the whole time. In the end, they brought back five big trout each by the time it was becoming early evening.\n\tAmanda smiled as she saw the big catch from Leo and Bill, beginning to prepare them all for cooking as Miyu and Falco went out to the stream where they dunked the beers, wine and watermelon in the stream to retrieve them. Slippy prepared a big vegetable stew in the big cooking pot to accompany the grilled fish fillets to come, filling it with many veggies... carrots, potatoes, celery, corn and lima beans mainly. They both also prepared some big flat stones to put close to the fire to act as grilling grates to put some flatbread on they made from flour, water and a bit of baking soda and salt... the typical hardtack to go with dinner. \n\tIt didn't take long for the smell of cooking food to surround the campsite in the coming hours before sunset, the golds of the setting sun shining over the tops of the mountains beautifully as they all sat together in harmony and relaxation. Everyone sat on one of three big tree logs surrounding the fire in a triangle, cuddling and hugging close to one another as they enjoyed the crisp and gentle autumn air in the afternoon going in to the evening. \n\tOnce it got dark, everyone was well fed and well into drinking beers and wines, realizing they still had the watermelon to cut up and serve. Miyu then went to go grab it, but before she gave it to Slippy to cut up, she put on a display with the three or four beers in her at the moment. “Hey guys, watch THIS!” She said as she put the huge watermelon between her thighs and began to slowly squeeze... beginning to grit her teeth as she applied more and more pressure between her legs until the melon simply split into two halves, the sudden sensation making Miyu moan out blissfully and give a naughty grin to everyone as they smiled and dropped their jaws in amazement at Miyu's quick and brief performance... to be quickly followed by a shivering from the buff lynxy as she suddenly felt the chilliness of the melon from being soaked in the stream all day long. “Eep! That thing was COLD!”\n\tLeo chuckled and leaned in to kiss Miyu on the cheek sweetly. “It's okay, love... when we bed for the night, I'll put something hot between your legs,” he said, the remark making everybody chuckle out deeply, Fay, Lucy, Katt and Krystal giving a happy 'oooaaaawwww!' in reply to the sexy thought of Miyu being bred by Leo. Miyu couldn't help but giggle and cover her face in her hands and lean into Leo in her drunkenness. \n\t“Heehee... our hot as hell bunny,” Miyu said.\n\t“Our even hotter lynxy,” Leo and Krystal said, the two of them leaning in to kiss Miyu on the cheek and lips.\n\tSlippy chuckled as he picked up both halves of the watermelon and sliced them into spears for everyone to enjoy for dessert, the lights of twilight giving in to night, the near full moon and stars shining bright above them as they all sat around the campfire. By the time total darkness came in in the late evening, the fire feeder had gone down 4 logs, prompting Leo and Falco to reload it all the way to the top of the ramp with burnable wood to keep it going as long as possible throughout the night to stay warm. \n\tAfter a few more minutes, Krystal then stood up and grabbed the roll of TP. “Oof... nature is calling me now. Be right back everyone,” she said, everyone nodding or giving a thumbs up as the blue vixen grabbed a torch from the fire and walked off into the trees on the way to the stream. She looked around for the best secluded area she could find and eventually after only a few minutes of searching found several bushes to squat behind.\n\tOnce she had done her business, she heard a snap of a twig nearby as she was cinching her belt buckle, her attention quickly moving to the direction of the sound. She couldn't see anything beyond the shapes of vegetation from the bushes and trees, her eyes slowly sweeping from side to side along with the light from the torch. She then began to faintly hear the sound of slow shallow breathing, the sound making her heart beat faster in nervousness. “...h-hello...?” she said softly. No answer.\n\tHer eyes continued to squint and try to see deeper into the night until, she suddenly saw the faint reflection of light in a pair of eyes about ten feet away from her in the bushes, their color yellowish in the light of the flame from the torch. She stood still there and panted slowly through her muzzle, gauging the eyes at a level lower than she was, getting the impression whatever it was was shorter than she was. [i]Calm down... just move slow and stay taller than it is... [/i]she thought to her self as she gently called out to it again. “Hello? ...are you okay?” \n\tShe then realized that staying taller than it was an impossibility as she saw the creature begin to rise up taller and taller as it slowly stepped out of the bushes towards Krystal, stopping about eight feet away from her. Her eyes and mouth opened wider in a bit of fright as she saw the eyes reach up to nearly twice her own height, the beast looking very much like a wild wolf with a muscular build. Her heart raced as she watched it smile at her with a sinister grin that was covered in drool, a soft growl coming from it as it began to slowly walk towards Krystal.\n\tThis made her back up cautiously, her movement making the beast begin to move quicker, which in turn caused Krystal to throw the torch at it and turn around to begin to run like hell back to the campsite. The near full moon gave off a pale light that shone through the trees to light her way as she left the woods and came back to the stream to cross it and return, but before she got all the way across the stream, she felt the creature lunge forward and slam into her, knocking her to the ground and getting pinned under it on the rocky shores of the stream.\n\t“UGH! Get off me! HEEEEELP!” she screamed as loud as she could, the beast flipping her around onto her back and trying to grab her arms as she frantically threw fists at the beast as hard as she could. Her arms continued to swing at the beasts head as she looked down to see it was a male... VERY male... his erection standing long and hard from his groin area as he tried to mount her as she struggled under it. “Get that disgusting thing away from me, you fucker!” she howled out as her fists began to slap and punch as fast and as hard as she could at it's head, his arms struggling to restrain her under him for several seconds before he finally opened his maw... and then bit down on Krystal's left forearm, the blue vixen screaming out in pain as she felt his teeth puncture into her skin several times, her free arm reaching out to the side, frantically feeling around the ground and felt a big rock. Her hand quickly grasped it to pick it up and then brought it with all her strength into the beast's head, making it release it's bite on her arm, the creature yelping and whimpering out in pain at the sudden blow to the head.\n\tKrystal then tried to crawl away, her eyes taking in the sight of her arm bleeding from the puncture wounds. She couldn't help but begin to cry at the intense pain in her arm and the fright of nearly being raped by the massive beast as the huge monster was then suddenly engulfed in a huge flame. She looked up from the source of it and saw Fox with her magical staff casting fireballs onto it, followed shortly behind by Bill, Falco and Leo with blaster rifles.\n\tThe brutish creature was fast to react to the flames however, as he got up and trotted off into the woods howling and whimpering in pain, a few dozen blaster shots going out into the brush in the beasts direction. Amanda and Lucy came directly to Krystal to look her over as everybody else came to help in any way they could, Slippy providing a bright electrical light to help Amanda examine Krystal.\n\t“Omigawd, she got bit,” Slippy said, everyone gasping in surprise at the sight of the wound.\n\t“Holy shit, what the fuck was that thing?” Miyu said, unable to believe everything she just witnessed.\n\t“I-i-it was a monster... it attacked me and tried to rape me!” Krystal said in hysterical tears as Amanda and Lucy worked together to treat her arm. She started by injecting a rabies shot into Krystal's arm along with a small dose of morphine to eliminate the pain while Lucy cleaned and dressed the wounds as best as could be done. \n\t“It's okay, baby... we're right here for you,” Leo said soothingly as he and Miyu hugged her from the side, trying their best not to get into Amanda and Lucy's way. Falco, Bill and Peppy all stood around looking out into the distance, rifles at the ready just in case there were others. Their eyes an ears picked up nothing out of the unusual, the savage beast that bit Krystal nowhere to be seen or heard again.\n\tBy the time Krystal's arm was cleaned, medicated and dressed, Miyu then picked up Krystal and carried her back to camp, Leo following by their side. “Amanda, make sure you bring all that medical waste and put it in the fire to burn,” Peppy instructed, Amanda giving a nod as Lucy held a bag open to put it all in. Peppy then reached for his wireless communicator and pressed the transmit button. “ROB, we had an incident with some wildlife. We're gonna need a perimeter guard kit brought out to our location pronto, do you copy?”\n\t“Affirmative, Peppy. I am on my way,” everyone heard ROB say over the two-way radio. Everyone then headed back to the campsite to sit around and wait for ROB to arrive with the defense pack via a compact hover vehicle. When he did, Fox, Fara, Falco and Bill all worked to put up a quick defense perimeter around the campsite while Leo, Miyu, Amanda and Lucy all stayed by Krystal's side to comfort her.\n\tThe mood became quite alert and defensive after the incident, but they were all still together to watch after each other. “How does it feel right now, Krystal?” Lucy asked.\n\tKrystal smiled a bit and moved her bandaged arm a bit. “Thanks to you and Amanda, it doesn't hurt right now and I feel fine,” she replied. \n\tAmanda smiled and gave a sigh of relief. “We'll sleep here tonight and check that bandage in the morning. If it seems to be healing fine, we won't have anything to worry about. But if it shows no sign of improvement or it gets worse, we pack up and leave.” Fox and Peppy nodded in agreement to Amanda's directive, Leo's ears going limp as he sighed and whimpered.\n\t“It's my fault, I'm sorry, hon,” he said to Krystal.\n\tShe tilted her head a bit in confusion. “How is it your fault, Leo?”\n\t“I should've gone with you to make sure you were okay,” he said.\n\t“I could've brought my staff, tho,” she countered with a gentle smile.\n\t“No need to assign blame over something we couldn't have predicted, kids,” Peppy said gently. Everyone slowly nodded in agreement, a long silence following for several moments.\n\tBill then looked at his watch. “Guys, we should try to get some sleep. It's just past 23:00, sunrise should be sometime around 08:00.”\n\t“I got the log feeder stacked up for approximately that amount of time, so the fire should last all night,” Falco replied.\n\t“We'll see how things go in the morning. Let's get some sleep, everyone,” Fox said softly.\n\tEveryone then got up and went to their respective tents, cuddling close in their sleeping bags and drifting off to sleep to the sound of the crackling campfire and the chirps of distant crickets, chirps of night birds and the occasional hooting of the night owls nearby.\n\n\t--The next morning, 08:41--\n\n\tThe morning light began to rise above the mountaintops surrounding the campsite valley, the fire with Leo's self-feeding setup still going strong with only the last logs still burning. The smell of the campfire smoke gently filled the air as a gentle morning breeze blew it into the camp, everyone's nose picking it up gently. The temperatures got a little chilly, but not unbearable to anyone. Leo and Miyu rested their heads on Krystal's shoulders as they slept on each side of her all night long, her arms happily wrapped around them. Krystal was the first to open her eyes, feeling much better after the frightening event of last night. \n\tThe scent of the campfire smoke was then starting to be replaced with the smell of food cooking, the sound of footsteps and yawns being heard along with the sizzling of food. Apparently Slippy and Amanda were already up. Krystal then looked down on Leo and Miyu as they lay by Krystal's side, the blue vixen smiling and moving her muzzle to nibble on their ears softly with her lips one by one, their ears twitching adorably as they began to purr quietly while they stirred awake. \n\t“pppprrrr... morning, loves,” Miyu said groggily.\n\t“Morning, kitty,” Krystal said softly.\n\t“How're you feeling, vixy?” Leo asked softly.\n\t“I feel really good. No pain, either,” Krystal replied.\n\t“That's good, sweetie. We should get Amanda to look at that right now,” Miyu said as she began to get up and put some clothes on, Leo and Krystal nodding and following suit. \n\tWhen they got dressed and got out of their tent, everyone else was up and sitting around having coffee and teas as Slippy cooked breakfast, the remainder of fish fillets from last night along with toast, eggs and some bacon. Everyone gathered around the campfire dishing up food except for Amanda who was on the opposite side of the fire a short distance with her first aid kit and some other medical treatment items, waving Krystal over with a smile while Leo and Miyu followed. “Morning you three,” the tall pink frog said.\n\t“Morning, Amanda,” the trio said. \n\t“Let's examine that wound and change your bandage, hon,” she said as she patted a chair directly across from her.\n\tKrystal sat in front of Amanda with Leo and Miyu kneeling by her sides in support as Amanda unwrapped the bandage. Amanda's face took on a look of a mix of surprise and confusion by what she saw next... the wound, aside from very minor scar marks in the pelt looked fully healed! “What the... that's odd... looks like it has fully healed itself somehow... you haven't used any healing magic on this, did you?”\n\t“I was too frazzled and frightened to do much of anything last night after that attack, so no,” Krystal replied calmly.\n\t“I see... well... you feeling okay, too?” Amanda inquired.\n\t“Totally fine. Slept like a rock like a certain somebody I know,” Krystal replied, softly nudging Miyu's sides, the comment making the lynx grin.\n\t“Wow... well, as amazed as I am to the extent of your healing, I see no reason to treat you further or for us to pack out of here today if you are feeling well,” Amanda said with a smile.\n\t“Yay!” Miyu and Leo said in joy, giving Krystal a hug and a kiss on her cheeks, the blue vixen smiling and blushing happily, taking a sigh of relief that she was going to be okay. Deep down though, she was also confused as to why she healed so quickly. The trio got up and headed back to the fire to dish up some breakfast from Slippy while Amanda took a swatch of the bloody section of the bandage and swabbed a sample of it onto a cotton swab and placed it into a small device into her hand and closed it up.\n\tShe then brought her communicator to her mouth and spoke quietly into it as she gathered up her things off the ground to prepare to leave and join the rest of the group. “ROB, I'm uploading a sample here for you to analyze. One should be Krystal and the other is another specimen of... something else,” she said.\n\t“On it, Dr Amanda,” ROB replied.\n\tAmanda continued to collect her belongings for only about a minute or so longer until a chime came through on her phone with the results. She pulled her phone up and tapped the screen a few times and looked at the readout.\n\n\t[q]Specimen analyzation complete. Two DNA strands detected.\n\t\n\tSubject 1: Fox, Krystal\n\tDNA: 100 % vulpes velox\n\n\tSubject 2: \n\tDNA: 99 % canis lupus\n\t\t 1 % unknown[/q]\n\n\t “'Unknown'... ROB?” she asked in confusion.\n\t“Correct. The sliver of DNA from the other subject does not match any known portion of DNA strands from all the known living animals cataloged in the Lylat System,” ROB replied.\n\t“....okay, thank you for your help ROB,” she said. “Amanda out.” She then put her phone and communicator, looking over at Krystal off in the distance sitting with everyone else, chatting away happily as they all ate breakfast around the campfire, Bill and Falco having reloaded the auto-feeder again with several logs. Amanda couldn't help but feel a little nervous as to what had happened since last night, but she did her best to shrug it off and rejoined the rest for food.\n\n\t--12:31--\n\n\tJust after breakfast, Leo had suggested a short three mile hike up to the top of the nearby mountain for a stunning scenic view of the valley around them. They all took well to the idea, grabbing their packs with food and water and walked the trail upwards, letting Leo take the lead. The partly cloudy weather began to turn totally overcast by the time they got up to the top, but there was no sign of rain to fall anytime soon. The trail was mostly a gentle incline with a few hundred yards of moderately steep terrain to overcome, but nothing impassable or overly difficult, the trail looking mostly disused for a long time, but still noticeable to all after all the years of its existence.\n\tThe view at the top was spectacular. There were several big tree logs laid on their sides to act as benches just like the ones at their campsite, where they all sat down and ate some snacks and took in water and energy drink to fuel up and hydrate for the trip back down later. No one sat alone, and all sat happily admiring the view. They could even see the Great Fox docked down below several miles away along with the highways that led away from the site. It literally felt like they were sitting on top of the world, even though they knew this peak was nowhere near the tallest on the planet of Corneria.\n\tSince the incident last night, Leo and Miyu had sat and stayed together with Krystal on each side of her in everything to try and make her feel safer and comforted. They knew she was a capable and strong woman that had seen combat and had been through stressful and frightening times during the war, but they still felt like they needed to be by her sides in support in the meantime. Krystal was constantly smiling and hugging them closely the whole time, very happy to be supported by such loving souls as they were. She was happy and grateful for them being there for her.\n\tAfter an hour or so at the top they all picked up and decided to head back down to the campsite, the fire still going and the tents all undisturbed in their absence. The auto-feeder had gone down to half load by the time they got back, prompting a reload as Slippy and Amanda prepared dinner. This time, they prepared a beef stir-fry in the cooking pot with a lot of veggies to go with a big helping of white rice. Leo even contributed to the veggies in the dish by putting in cat tail stalks, mushrooms and fiddlehead ferns he gathered from the stream they got their water from. \n\tThe dinner meal was finished as the sun had gone down behind the mountains, although the clouds were still covering the sky and blocking out a lot of the light, making it darker quicker than it did yesterday. Everyone enjoyed such a lovely meal as they sat together in the evening, the fire keeping them warm and comforted. By the time it was nearly 20:00, the clouds began to thin and reveal the stars and moon of the night sky, and by that time, Krystal had run out of water in her canteen. “Oops... I gotta head to the stream and refill this,” she announced. \n\t“I'll go with you this time, love,” Leo said as he hopped to his feet quickly.\n\t“Take this with you, Leo,” Falco said, tossing a rifle his way, Leo catching it in his hand and checking to make sure it was loaded and ready.\n\t“Got it,” he said, then smiled and grabbed Krystal's hand and walked with her down the trail to the stream, the blue vixen carrying her staff this time as well.\n\t“Thank you for coming with me, bunny,” she said sweetly. “I always feel protected with you and Miyu.”\n\t“I couldn't possibly resist. Anything for our lovely vixy,” he said, leaning in to smooch her cheek happily. “In any case, my canteen was getting low as well, so I figure we may as well both go together.”\n\t“Sounds good to me,” Krystal replied. They continued to walk down the trail for the three or four minutes to the stream before they opened their canteens and dunked them into the water while kneeling down at the water's edge. After only a minute, Krystal looked further up into the middle of the stream and her eyes caught not only the reflection of her face, but she could also see the remnants of cloud cover revealing the bright full moon directly behind her head. Her mind and thoughts began to focus entirely on it as she felt her heart beating slightly faster and harder at the sight of it, her gaze transfixed upon the lunar glow in the water. \n\tShe could then hear a snickering in her mind as she slowly saw her face in the reflection of the water start to change a bit, but she felt her own face hadn't changed a bit. [i]“...hehehe... ohh myyyy what is this? A telepath... AND a magic user. I'm going to enjoy yooooou,”[/i] the voice said in a sinister tone.\n\tKrystal gasped softly at the sound of the voice in her head, beginning to speak with it. [i]“Wh-what?? Who are you??”[/i] she said in her mind.\n\t[i]“Weeeeell, I don't really have a name... I just kinda take from my host and make a variant of it when it is possible,”[/i] the voice said. [i]“Hmmm... Krystal is it? I like that name... but for myself... you can call meee... Kursed,”[/i] the voice said, the face in the reflection of the water grinning toothily up at Krystal.\n\t[i]“What do you want?!”[/i] Krystal demanded.\n\t[i]“Well, last night I was hoping to have a little debauchery with you in that big wolf's body, but you kinda put the kibosh on that plan...”[/i] Kursed began. [i]“I suppose you'll be pleased to know that man is dead now... suffered blunt force trauma to the skull after you smashed it with a rock... but THIS TIME...”[/i] Kursed continued, Krystal beginning to feel her muscles tense up all over her body, unable to move or even speak. [i] “I think I'll use you to rape your bunny friend there... along with the rest of your camaraderie at camp!”[/i] Kursed said with an evil chuckle.\n\t[i]“Hhhhnnngggg... I refuse... to do that... for evil scum like you...!”[/i] Krystal said in her mind, her teeth clenched and body rigid and stiff.\n\t[i]“Hahaha... I admire your spirit, but I am already in your blood... you have no choice, my dear. Now... SUBMIT...”[/i] Kursed said, the last word echoing painfully in Krystal's mind, her senses and consciousness going numb as Kursed took over her body and soul. “uuuurrrrggghhhh...” she muttered as she started to slump to her knees in a sitting position, her hands letting go of the canteen into the stream.\n\tLeo suddenly looked over at Krystal from the sound of her groaning, his heart quickening in concern over Krystal as he went to her to help right her up. “Krystal? Are you okay?” \n\tKrystal closed her eyes and continued to moan and groan softly as if she were sick, her hands raising to join Leo's as she stumbled a little to stand up to her feet, Leo guiding her the whole way up. “uuuugggghhhh... I.. I feeeeel...” she muttered, softly wobbling from side to side before Leo as he cupped his hands on her cheeks to look into her face, stroking her cheeks with his thumbs lovingly.\n\t“Aaawww... poor sweetie... I'm sorry this trip has turned out this way for you... are you feeling sick...?” he asked softly.\n\tThe blue vixen softly looked up at Leo, her eyes still closed. “I feeel...” A few more seconds went by before Leo suddenly felt her right hand clasp tightly around his throat, choking him as she began to raise him up off his feet softly by about a foot. Leo struggled to breathe as his hands quickly went to her wrist to try and loosen it, but to no avail... then he looked down into her face... to see her eyes open... and they were not those of Krystal... the sclera had turned a jet black, her irises still green, but they were now slit vertically with a bright yellow pupil. She then grinned toothily and predatory up at Leo, her voice loud and firm in Leo's mind sending his heart into a frantic pace of fright and terror. [i]“I FEEL LIKE I WANNA RAPE THE SHIT OUTTA YOOOOU,”[/i] Kursed said with a sinister tone. \n\tIt was then that Krystal's body began to grow bigger, taller and more muscular, her clothes shredding slowly around her entire body as she growled out softly at the physical growth, only a minute going by before she was now ten feet tall and very muscular all over. Leo whimpered in utter fear knowing she could easily pop his head off with a simple squeeze of her hand as he felt it grow around his neck, his jugular vein sending his rapid and frantic pulse right into her hand, the sensation and sight of Leo in her clutches making her chuckle. [i]“Hehehehe you look adorable when you are scared shitless...”[/i] Kursed said into his mind. Leo couldn't help but think about Miyu right now, his voice unable to scream out to call for help, his mind going back to Papetoon when the mix of flaysium and Krystal's magic made her body swell into that enormous and overly powerful beast that bred the hell out of his body. \n\tHer attention was then interrupted by Leo's thought, her face becoming quizzical as she brought Leo face to face with her, her frightful eyes gazing deep into his soul and mind to probe his thoughts. [i] “Ooh... what was THAT, little bunny...?”[/i] She could then see flashbacks and still images of when Miyu in her enormous beastly herm form rutted and fucked Leo roughly over and over again and bloated him to a massive blob that was bigger around than she was tall. Kursed's eyes blinked and went wide at the thought. [i]“Ohh damn! That is fucking hot!”[/i] she said, her smile widening, turning wicked and mischievous as her other arm reached down and picked up Krystal's staff, the magical weapon beginning to glow a brilliant green light around it and then all around her body. [i] “How could I POSSIBLY resist the urge?”[/i] she said as she began to grow again, this time the muscle build all over her escalating to enormous bulk. Male genitalia began to form between her legs as her calves and thighs exploded in huge amounts of muscle, her chest and arms swelling to match as she grew much taller, her form reaching a towering 25 feet tall by the time it was all done. Leo remembered Miyu had a bad heart in that frame at that time, and she died briefly at the end of all that... now he was crying in fear as he was held in her huge hand tightly, barely able to breathe and fearful that Krystal was going to die now too. [i]“Aaaawwww... no need to fear, little bunny...”[/i] she said as she put him against the left side of her chest, where he watched it swell out and flex mightily as the heart underneath it swelled and pumped at a steady gentle rate, no sign of stress from it at all, her flesh and bones audibly stretching and creaking like leather becoming more and more taught. [i] “I will have PLENTY of strength and stamina to do this... but you know... come to think of it... why should I possibly be so greedy as to enjoy this by myself...”[/i] she said, bringing Leo right before her frightening face as she grinned toothily and deadly at him, her voice so deep it echoed painfully in his mind. [i] “I FEEL LIKE BEING IN A SHARING MOOD,”[/i] she said lustily, beginning to walk off towards the camp holding Leo firmly in her right hand, her enormous ten-foot-wide balls gurgling and sloshing as they hung and swung pendulously between her massive legs as she walked slowly...\n\n\t--At the camp--\n\n\t“Should somebody check on those two? They've been gone for a long time and not a sound...” Miyu suggested as they all began to hear and feel a slow and steadily increasing booming in the ground from a distance. The sensation and sound made them all sit still and look at each other in confusion. They watched as plates and cups shook and rattled all around the campfire, the feelings getting louder and firmer as the seconds ticked by, their gazes looking into the woods towards the stream when they began to hear trees and large limbs and branches snapping with every thud, everyone standing up with weapons at the ready.\n\t“What in the fucking world...?” Falco said as they continued to watch nervously at the trees when suddenly Kursed pushed her way through the last pairing, her massive body showing itself to everybody as she smiled wide and toothily at everyone.\n\t[i]“BOO! Surprise, motherfuckers!”[/i] she said loudly followed by a chuckle. She then noticed Fox, Falco, Miyu and Bill with rifles at the ready, then raised her left arm towards them with her staff elevating in the air in front of it, a bright red glow emitting from it as all of their rifles began to glow brighter and hotter, soon becoming too hot to touch, forcing them all to drop them to the ground to watch them continue to glow brighter and melt on the ground before them. [i]“Now now, no need for weapons, little boys. We're just gonna have a lot of fun tonight during this full moon,”[/i] Kursed said to everyone.\n\t“What do you mean by fun?” Miyu asked with a firm tone.\n\t[i]“Well, YOU already KNOW what kind of fun I'm talking about, if you couldn't already tell by THIS form I possess now... which you can thank your cute bunny for thinking about it for me,”[/i] she chuckled. Everyone gasped at the thought of what was going to happen next as Kursed raised her left arm to aim out towards everyone gathered around the campfire. The staff began to emit a bright green glow as Kursed's eyes glowed just as bright as her toothy grin remained, her voice going off into all the women's minds. \t“We're heading to a big secluded spot with a lot of space at the edge of the trees that is connected to a light trail that heads to a stream a few hundred yards from a gentle stream,” Leo replied.  “This is a spot my parents and I and some of our other family used to camp out at during the spring holidays.  Great wide open space where a big family can relax and watch the stars at night and have a fun and comfortable time.”
\t“This section reminds me a lot of the forests on Sauria,” Krystal said.
\t“It does, actually,” Fox said from behind them as he, Fara, Katt and Falco held up a pair of lightweight metal bars where several bags of lightweight canvas bags of some tools, tents, cooking items and sleeping bags hung from.  Behind them, Bill and Fay, Peppy and Lucy, and Slippy and Amanda followed close by to the group carrying a hiking pack with all of their supplies.
\tThe hike took only a few minutes more before they arrived at the spot Leo had mentioned, and indeed it was gorgeous and very much as he described.  As they looked away from the direction they hiked in from, the mountains rose up several miles beyond into a bowl formation around the area making it seem like a serene sheltered valley.  The place was devoid of bugs this time of year as well, so usage of the repellent they brought would be very minimal to non-existent.  “Here it is!” Leo proudly announced.
\t“Oh wow, this is a gorgeous place, Leo!” Lucy said happily.
\t“It is, darling,” Peppy said.  “A nice quiet secluded place to relax for a few days.  I'm glad we came out here.”
\t“Me too,” Katt said.  “Even I have to admit that city life was starting to get redundant and blah.”
\t“I kinda prefer the city life, but this will be a decent change,” Falco said.
\t“At least it's not in the wilds of Papetoon, Falco!” Slippy said.  “If one could call it that, anyway.”
\t“You got that right,” Fox began.  “I remember the nights there are so cold and brutal, even in that cave we lived in when we were in exile several years back.”  
\t“Yeah, I remember that week on that planet for me was enough to not live there with the temperature extremes,” Leo said.
\t“I don't mind it so much, mate,” Fara said with a smile.  “But then again, I was born and raised there, so that would be why.”
\t“Yeah well... we all don't have some of the biggest and cutest ears to radiate heat with, either,” Fox said smiling at Fara, giving her a wink before smooching her cheek softly, the comment making Fara smile and blush happily.  Leo smiled and gave Fox a grin and a thumbs up, seeing how Fox and Fara were getting along well since they finally started dating.  They were an incredibly adorable couple in Leo's eyes.  He often wondered if it was on the same level of attraction that Leo and Miyu's parents saw in them.
\tThey all lowered their gear into different spots around a designated fire pit that looked like it hadn't seen a fire in many years.  Falco and Bill began to unpack the tool bag and brought out a pair of two-handled saws and then headed off to a dead tree nearby and started to gather wood for the fire.  Fox and Fara along with Peppy and Lucy began setting up their tents, Katt and Fay helping each other with each of theirs while the boys were off getting wood gathered, Slippy and Amanda doing the same before going by the campfire to sort out all the cooking tools and foods for meals.
\t“Hey girls, think you could help me with the beer and wine bottles and I'll grab the watermelon?” Leo asked as he grabbed the large fruit.
\t“Sure... where are we going with them?”  Miyu asked in confusion, the look on Krystal's face matching.
\t“To the stream just over there,” Leo said.  They then walked along a small and barely noticeable trail that led off into a small group of tall trees along a stream.  Leo then put the watermelon into a fishing net and set in into the stream, the water feeling very chilly to the touch.  “Perfect temperature!  By dessert time tonight, this melon will be cool, crisp and incredibly sweet.”
\t“Oooohhhhh clever idea, Leo.  Drinks will be nice and cold too, then,” Krystal said as she and Miyu were getting on with what Leo was talking about, gently setting the beers and wines in the water to chill as well.  Leo then set to filling their canteens with the clean chilly water to bring back to camp.
\t“Yeah, when my father went camping here as a kid many years back, they came here and grandma always did this with the watermelon,” Leo said.
\tMiyu and Krystal smiled as they knelt down on Leo's sides and hugged him softly, their tails wagging happily.  “I'm glad you suggested this, sweetie.  We haven't done much, but I'm already feeling very good from the atmosphere,” Miyu said.
\t“Me too, sweetheart.  I'm loving this so much so far,” Krystal said.
\tLeo smiled and wrapped his arms around his girls and bunny purred happily.  “I'm happy to hear it, loves,” he said sweetly.  They held together for a few more minutes before they got up and collected their canteens, Leo extending an arm for each of his loves, Miyu and Krystal wrapping an arm in each and walking back with Leo to the campsite.  On the way back, Leo had noticed some aspen and birch trees that had some bark peeling off, so he grabbed a few handfuls of it to use as tinder.  There were also several clumps of dry grass that he grabbed as well he knew he could use as tinder as well.
\tBy the time they had returned, almost all of the tents were put up, save Miyu, Krystal and Leo's.  Bill and Falco had collected quite a few pieces of firewood while using two saws alternating push and pull motions to get two pieces at the same time.  Slippy had set up a tripod with cooking pot as well as an elevated grilling grate dug into the ground by the edge of the fire pit, Amanda preparing meals for later lunch and dinner.  She started making foil-wrapped fire lunches packed with small cuts of beef and veggies that could simply be places in the embers of the campfire to cook slowly over time.
\tPeppy sat with Lucy in front of their tent and hugged close, not having spent a lot of time with each other in such a long time since the war began over 5 years ago, still feeling a bit of a loss that Vivian could not be with them to enjoy this as well.  Fox and Fara finished their tent and sleeping bags quickly and used some of the time to cuddle and hold close to each other, something they hadn't done since the weeks and months after they first met.  
\tMiyu went to grab a few stumps of wood from Falco and Bill as they continued to saw away at the big dead tree to grab more fuel for the fire and proceeded to chop it into quarter pieces with an axe and then handed them off to Leo.  Leo then used his knife and a piece of wood to create even smaller shreds of wood that could be used to get the fire going.  Katt and Fay, not having spent much time in the wilderness themselves sat by Leo and watched him to see how he was doing things, learning wood and fire preparation techniques quickly.  
\tOnce Leo had acquired and prepped enough wood to begin a fire, the sun was high in the sky at noon time, then Leo began placing bundles of dry grass under some sheets of birch bark before covering them with small pieces of wood.  “Need a match, Leo?” Falco said as he and Bill, Fox and Fara walked up to watch Leo, the show suddenly on the bunny.
\t“Hehe Nah, that's too easy.  Amanda?” he said.
\t“Yes, Leo?” Amanda asked in curiosity.
\t“Could you go into the first aid kit and grab me the glycerin and the potassium permanganate antiseptic, please? I won't use much of either,” Leo asked politely.
\tEveryone's face took on a look of utter confusion at the request.  “Um, okay...” she replied and went off to get it.   She then returned with the items in question and handed them to Leo.
\t“Thank you, dear,” he said.  He then opened the potassium permanganate and placed a small pile of the metallic granules on the ground under the grass and birch bark and sealed it up and gave back to Amanda.  He then opened the glycerin bottle and poured a small amount on top of the granules and closed the container to give back to Amanda, and just sat still.  Everyone shrugged as they looked at each other, not knowing what in the world was going on.  Amanda wracked her brain in chemistry to try and figure out what Leo was up to, and in less than a minute, she thought she knew, but she had never thought of it before now.
\tAfter only a minute or two, the glycerin and antiseptic granules began to emit a gentle wisp of smoke, everyone leaning in in surprise as they watched closer, several more seconds going by before the smoke intensified before the pile erupted into a chemical flame that set the tinder on fire and then the small pieces of wood.  Everyone chuckled and cheered with applause at the performance, Leo sitting and shrugging with a grin on his face.  “Wooooow duuuuude, that is amazing!” Bill said happily.  
\t“That is the SECOND time I've seen our bun start a fire without matches or a lighter,” Miyu said proudly as she hugged him from the side and gave him a smooch on the cheek.  “Smarty bun.”
\t“Eeee... I have Survivalman to thank for that,” Leo said with a closed-eyed grin.  He then got up and looked over in the direction of the dead tree they got the wood from and the other tall dead trees several feet away.  “Gonna go off and get some other things for the fire,” he then said.
\t“Need some help, hon?” Miyu asked.
\t“Just need to grab some long poles from those skinny trees, six of them about six feet long,” he said.  “Also gonna need to utilize some of our small climbing rope to tie them together in two three-pole sets.”
\tMiyu and Bill went to grab some folding saws to help Leo collect what he needed, and in less than 15 minutes they came back with the small diameter poles to the fire pit  Leo then made a tripod of three logs on each side of the fire opposite each other and tied off the joint where all three logs joined at the top, making a sort of ramp lowering towards the fire.  Leo then put two of the logs Bill and Falco cut off the dead tree and placed them at the foot of the wooden ramps on either side of the fire, and more logs up the ramp.
\t“Ooooohhhhh that is clever, Leo,” Peppy said as he saw what he was doing.
\t“Not sure I get it, pops,” Falco replied to Peppy.
\t“Those bottom two logs in the fire will burn off in about an hour to an hour and a half, and when it does, it will lose structural strength and allow the two logs behind it to fall into the fire, and the process repeats until all the logs are gone,” Peppy explained.  “It's a self-feeding fire setup.”
\t“Oooohhhh okay!” Falco replied, giving Leo a pat on the shoulder.  “Nicely done, bro!”
\t“Thanks, guy,” Leo said, smiling.
\t“Makes me wonder how many more fire-starting tricks our bunny has,” Krystal said.  “I was totally prepared to grab my staff to start it because I didn't know what everyone was bringing.”
\tSeveral chuckled as Leo wrapped his arms around Krystal and Miyu happily, sitting happily together in front of the fire on the tree log  “Hehe I know several more,” Leo suggested.
\t“Now we can at least get some coals to cook some lunch,” Slippy said happily, placing wrapped tinfoil meals onto some of the first coals in the fire.  
\t“While that is going, I think I might head downstream to get some fish for dinner,”  Leo said, going to grab a plastic bottle of water and taking a small bag out of his pocket.  He knew that some fish were known to flow down the stream where they got water from and this time of year there was still a decent flow of them going down.  Bill joined him with some fishing gear to go out and acquire some fish as well.  They had a friendly competition as to whom would catch the most, no particular prize or anything, but just a friendly fun time together.  Bill was surprised to see Leo simply wrap fishing line around his plastic bottle with a hook and use the bottle as the rod and reel the whole time.  In the end, they brought back five big trout each by the time it was becoming early evening.
\tAmanda smiled as she saw the big catch from Leo and Bill, beginning to prepare them all for cooking as Miyu and Falco went out to the stream where they dunked the beers, wine and watermelon in the stream to retrieve them.  Slippy prepared a big vegetable stew in the big cooking pot to accompany the grilled fish fillets to come, filling it with many veggies... carrots, potatoes, celery, corn and lima beans mainly.  They both also prepared some big flat stones to put close to the fire to act as grilling grates to put some flatbread on they made from flour, water and a bit of baking soda and salt... the typical hardtack to go with dinner.  
\tIt didn't take long for the smell of cooking food to surround the campsite in the coming hours before sunset, the golds of the setting sun shining over the tops of the mountains beautifully as they all sat together in harmony and relaxation.  Everyone sat on one of three big tree logs surrounding the fire in a triangle, cuddling and hugging close to one another as they enjoyed the crisp and gentle autumn air in the afternoon going in to the evening.  
\tOnce it got dark, everyone was well fed and well into drinking beers and wines, realizing they still had the watermelon to cut up and serve.  Miyu then went to go grab it, but before she gave it to Slippy to cut up, she put on a display with the three or four beers in her at the moment.  “Hey guys, watch THIS!”  She said as she put the huge watermelon between her thighs and began to slowly squeeze... beginning to grit her teeth as she applied more and more pressure between her legs until the melon simply split into two halves, the sudden sensation making Miyu moan out blissfully and give a naughty grin to everyone as they smiled and dropped their jaws in amazement at Miyu's quick and brief performance... to be quickly followed by a shivering from the buff lynxy as she suddenly felt the chilliness of the melon from being soaked in the stream all day long.  “Eep!  That thing was COLD!”
\tLeo chuckled and leaned in to kiss Miyu on the cheek sweetly.  “It's okay, love... when we bed for the night, I'll put something hot between your legs,” he said, the remark making everybody chuckle out deeply, Fay, Lucy, Katt and Krystal giving a happy 'oooaaaawwww!' in reply to the sexy thought of Miyu being bred by Leo.  Miyu couldn't help but giggle and cover her face in her hands and lean into Leo in her drunkenness.  
\t“Heehee... our hot as hell bunny,” Miyu said.
\t“Our even hotter lynxy,” Leo and Krystal said, the two of them leaning in to kiss Miyu on the cheek and lips.
\tSlippy chuckled as he picked up both halves of the watermelon and sliced them into spears for everyone to enjoy for dessert, the lights of twilight giving in to night, the near full moon and stars shining bright above them as they all sat around the campfire.  By the time total darkness came in in the late evening, the fire feeder had gone down 4 logs, prompting Leo and Falco to reload it all the way to the top of the ramp with burnable wood to keep it going as long as possible throughout the night to stay warm.  
\tAfter a few more minutes, Krystal then stood up and grabbed the roll of TP.  “Oof... nature is calling me now.  Be right back everyone,”  she said, everyone nodding or giving a thumbs up as the blue vixen grabbed a torch from the fire and walked off into the trees on the way to the stream.  She looked around for the best secluded area she could find and eventually after only a few minutes of searching found several bushes to squat behind.
\tOnce she had done her business, she heard a snap of a twig nearby as she was cinching her belt buckle, her attention quickly moving to the direction of the sound.  She couldn't see anything beyond the shapes of vegetation from the bushes and trees, her eyes slowly sweeping from side to side along with the light from the torch.  She then began to faintly hear the sound of slow shallow breathing, the sound making her heart beat faster in nervousness.  “...h-hello...?” she said softly.  No answer.
\tHer eyes continued to squint and try to see deeper into the night until, she suddenly saw the faint reflection of light in a pair of eyes about ten feet away from her in the bushes, their color yellowish in the light of the flame from the torch.  She stood still there and panted slowly through her muzzle, gauging the eyes at a level lower than she was, getting the impression whatever it was was shorter than she was.  Calm down... just move slow and stay taller than it is... she thought to her self as she gently called out to it again.  “Hello? ...are you okay?”  
\tShe then realized that staying taller than it was an impossibility as she saw the creature begin to rise up taller and taller as it slowly stepped out of the bushes towards Krystal, stopping about eight feet away from her.  Her eyes and mouth opened wider in a bit of fright as she saw the eyes reach up to nearly twice her own height, the beast looking very much like a wild wolf with a muscular build.  Her heart raced as she watched it smile at her with a sinister grin that was covered in drool, a soft growl coming from it as it began to slowly walk towards Krystal.
\tThis made her back up cautiously, her movement making the beast begin to move quicker, which in turn caused Krystal to throw the torch at it and turn around to begin to run like hell back to the campsite.  The near full moon gave off a pale light that shone through the trees to light her way as she left the woods and came back to the stream to cross it and return, but before she got all the way across the stream, she felt the creature lunge forward and slam into her, knocking her to the ground and getting pinned under it on the rocky shores of the stream.
\t“UGH! Get off me! HEEEEELP!” she screamed as loud as she could, the beast flipping her around onto her back and trying to grab her arms as she frantically threw fists at the beast as hard as she could.  Her arms continued to swing at the beasts head as she looked down to see it was a male... VERY male... his erection standing long and hard from his groin area as he tried to mount her as she struggled under it.  “Get that disgusting thing away from me, you fucker!” she howled out as her fists began to slap and punch as fast and as hard as she could at it's head, his arms struggling to restrain her under him for several seconds before he finally opened his maw... and then bit down on Krystal's left forearm, the blue vixen screaming out in pain as she felt his teeth puncture into her skin several times, her free arm reaching out to the side, frantically feeling around the ground and felt a big rock.  Her hand quickly grasped it to pick it up and then brought it with all her strength into the beast's head, making it release it's bite on her arm, the creature yelping and whimpering out in pain at the sudden blow to the head.
\tKrystal then tried to crawl away, her eyes taking in the sight of her arm bleeding from the puncture wounds.  She couldn't help but begin to cry at the intense pain in her arm and the fright of nearly being raped by the massive beast as the huge monster was then suddenly engulfed in a huge flame.  She looked up from the source of it and saw Fox with her magical staff casting fireballs onto it, followed shortly behind by Bill, Falco and Leo with blaster rifles.
\tThe brutish creature was fast to react to the flames however, as he got up and trotted off into the woods howling and whimpering in pain, a few dozen blaster shots going out into the brush in the beasts direction.  Amanda and Lucy came directly to Krystal to look her over as everybody else came to help in any way they could, Slippy providing a bright electrical light to help Amanda examine Krystal.
\t“Omigawd, she got bit,” Slippy said, everyone gasping in surprise at the sight of the wound.
\t“Holy shit, what the fuck was that thing?” Miyu said, unable to believe everything she just witnessed.
\t“I-i-it was a monster... it attacked me and tried to rape me!” Krystal said in hysterical tears as Amanda and Lucy worked together to treat her arm.  She started by injecting a rabies shot into Krystal's arm along with a small dose of morphine to eliminate the pain while Lucy cleaned and dressed the wounds as best as could be done.  
\t“It's okay, baby... we're right here for you,” Leo said soothingly as he and Miyu hugged her from the side, trying their best not to get into Amanda and Lucy's way.  Falco, Bill and Peppy all stood around looking out into the distance, rifles at the ready just in case there were others.  Their eyes an ears picked up nothing out of the unusual, the savage beast that bit Krystal nowhere to be seen or heard again.
\tBy the time Krystal's arm was cleaned, medicated and dressed, Miyu then picked up Krystal and carried her back to camp, Leo following by their side.  “Amanda, make sure you bring all that medical waste and put it in the fire to burn,” Peppy instructed, Amanda giving a nod as Lucy held a bag open to put it all in.  Peppy then reached for his wireless communicator and pressed the transmit button.  “ROB, we had an incident with some wildlife. We're gonna need a perimeter guard kit brought out to our location pronto, do you copy?”
\t“Affirmative, Peppy.  I am on my way,” everyone heard ROB say over the two-way radio.  Everyone then headed back to the campsite to sit around and wait for ROB to arrive with the defense pack via a compact hover vehicle.  When he did, Fox, Fara, Falco and Bill all worked to put up a quick defense perimeter around the campsite while Leo, Miyu, Amanda and Lucy all stayed by Krystal's side to comfort her.
\tThe mood became quite alert and defensive after the incident, but they were all still together to watch after each other.  “How does it feel right now, Krystal?” Lucy asked.
\tKrystal smiled a bit and moved her bandaged arm a bit.  “Thanks to you and Amanda, it doesn't hurt right now and I feel fine,” she replied.  
\tAmanda smiled and gave a sigh of relief.  “We'll sleep here tonight and check that bandage in the morning.  If it seems to be healing fine, we won't have anything to worry about.  But if it shows no sign of improvement or it gets worse, we pack up and leave.” Fox and Peppy nodded in agreement to Amanda's directive, Leo's ears going limp as he sighed and whimpered.
\t“It's my fault, I'm sorry, hon,” he said to Krystal.
\tShe tilted her head a bit in confusion.  “How is it your fault, Leo?”
\t“I should've gone with you to make sure you were okay,” he said.
\t“I could've brought my staff, tho,” she countered with a gentle smile.
\t“No need to assign blame over something we couldn't have predicted, kids,” Peppy said gently. Everyone slowly nodded in agreement, a long silence following for several moments.
\tBill then looked at his watch.  “Guys, we should try to get some sleep.  It's just past 23:00, sunrise should be sometime around 08:00.”
\t“I got the log feeder stacked up for approximately that amount of time, so the fire should last all night,” Falco replied.
\t“We'll see how things go in the morning.  Let's get some sleep, everyone,” Fox said softly.
\tEveryone then got up and went to their respective tents, cuddling close in their sleeping bags and drifting off to sleep to the sound of the crackling campfire and the chirps of distant crickets, chirps of night birds and the occasional hooting of the night owls nearby.

\t--The next morning, 08:41--

\tThe morning light began to rise above the mountaintops surrounding the campsite valley, the fire with Leo's self-feeding setup still going strong with only the last logs still burning.  The smell of the campfire smoke gently filled the air as a gentle morning breeze blew it into the camp, everyone's nose picking it up gently.  The temperatures got a little chilly, but not unbearable to anyone.  Leo and Miyu rested their heads on Krystal's shoulders as they slept on each side of her all night long, her arms happily wrapped around them.  Krystal was the first to open her eyes, feeling much better after the frightening event of last night.  
\tThe scent of the campfire smoke was then starting to be replaced with the smell of food cooking, the sound of footsteps and yawns being heard along with the sizzling of food.  Apparently Slippy and Amanda were already up.  Krystal then looked down on Leo and Miyu as they lay by Krystal's side, the blue vixen smiling and moving her muzzle to nibble on their ears softly with her lips one by one, their ears twitching adorably as they began to purr quietly while they stirred awake.  
\t“pppprrrr... morning, loves,” Miyu said groggily.
\t“Morning, kitty,” Krystal said softly.
\t“How're you feeling, vixy?” Leo asked softly.
\t“I feel really good.  No pain, either,” Krystal replied.
\t“That's good, sweetie.  We should get Amanda to look at that right now,” Miyu said as she began to get up and put some clothes on, Leo and Krystal nodding and following suit.  
\tWhen they got dressed and got out of their tent, everyone else was up and sitting around having coffee and teas as Slippy cooked breakfast, the remainder of fish fillets from last night along with toast, eggs and some bacon.  Everyone gathered around the campfire dishing up food except for Amanda who was on the opposite side of the fire a short distance with her first aid kit and some other medical treatment items, waving Krystal over with a smile while Leo and Miyu followed.  “Morning you three,” the tall pink frog said.
\t“Morning, Amanda,” the trio said.  
\t“Let's examine that wound and change your bandage, hon,” she said as she patted a chair directly across from her.
\tKrystal sat in front of Amanda with Leo and Miyu kneeling by her sides in support as Amanda unwrapped the bandage.  Amanda's face took on a look of a mix of surprise and confusion by what she saw next... the wound, aside from very minor scar marks in the pelt looked fully healed!  “What the... that's odd...  looks like it has fully healed itself somehow... you haven't used any healing magic on this, did you?”
\t“I was too frazzled and frightened to do much of anything last night after that attack, so no,” Krystal replied calmly.
\t“I see... well... you feeling okay, too?” Amanda inquired.
\t“Totally fine.  Slept like a rock like a certain somebody I know,” Krystal replied, softly nudging Miyu's sides, the comment making the lynx grin.
\t“Wow... well, as amazed as I am to the extent of your healing, I see no reason to treat you further or for us to pack out of here today if you are feeling well,” Amanda said with a smile.
\t“Yay!”  Miyu and Leo said in joy, giving Krystal a hug and a kiss on her cheeks, the blue vixen smiling and blushing happily, taking a sigh of relief that she was going to be okay.  Deep down though, she was also confused as to why she healed so quickly.  The trio got up and headed back to the fire to dish up some breakfast from Slippy while Amanda took a swatch of the bloody section of the bandage and swabbed a sample of it onto a cotton swab and placed it into a small device into her hand and closed it up.
\tShe then brought her communicator to her mouth and spoke quietly into it as she gathered up her things off the ground to prepare to leave and join the rest of the group.  “ROB, I'm uploading a sample here for you to analyze.  One should be Krystal and the other is another specimen of... something else,” she said.
\t“On it, Dr Amanda,” ROB replied.
\tAmanda continued to collect her belongings for only about a minute or so longer until a chime came through on her phone with the results.  She pulled her phone up and tapped the screen a few times and looked at the readout.

\t“Correct.  The sliver of DNA from the other subject does not match any known portion of DNA strands from all the known living animals cataloged in the Lylat System,” ROB replied.
