Leo's spare time drawings and schematics were found to be incredibly useful to the project. Leo felt very satisfied to know that something he looked at as just random doodles he made in his spare time would be paramount into helping many people. He along with many people in Corneria were anxious and excited to see what it would turn out to be.\n\tAfter only about a few days or so after Miyu and Leo's initial meeting, they were already out on the grounds, spending hours going over the ground surface to determine it's strength and its composition. The land was inland from the sea and was chosen to be determined for a possible location for other ventures in the last decade, however nothing was actually built upon it due to lack of funding from a few previous developers, but it was the perfect space and the perfect time to build on now. Different times and circumstances have finally come to build on it now. \n\tWhile the new plot will eventually become a huge community for mass apartment complexes, for now it would be a lot of insulated tents and barracks for immediate housing for the incoming refugees and immigrants while another empty plot just south of it was being planned and the ground prepped and leveled for another tent city. Amanda and Krystal were busy with moving in a mobile hospital along with a team of nurses and doctors to treat the sick and injured. \n\tAfter a rather brief groundbreaking event in the new section of land, it was nearing midday. The springtime weather was warm, calm and beautiful in the region that day as Miyu and Leo gathered up some of their supplies and tools to bring into the foreman's trailer. The pair had spent a lot of time working together over the course of the last month, half the time being professionals in their work, the other half being two very good supportive friends, their relationship getting stronger and stronger. The tall rabbit gave a minor stretch as he looked at the clock in the trailer, 11:53. “I'm hungry,” Leo said.\n\t“Nuh-uhh, you're bunny,” Miyu said smiling, reaching out and giving his chin a scritch with her claw tips.\n\tLeo smiled with closed eyes, giving a soft and cute purr and wiggle of his spade-shaped tail. “I'm a hungry bunny,” he replied adorably.\n\tMiyu giggled and smiled at his reaction. [i]So darn cute![/i] A soft chime from her phone filled the air, making her retrieve it to check the incoming message.... it was from Krystal, simple and to the point. “Lunch @ Chalmer's?” “Ooh, Krystal's heading to the diner for lunch,” she said.\n\t“Tell her we'll join, if you wanna, that is,” Leo replied.\n\t“Sure thing,” Miyu said, tapping an affirmative reply to Krystal. Only a minute or two passed before Krystal entered the trailer. “Hi there, vixy,” Miyu said upon her arrival.\n\t“Hey, cute kitty. Hi bunny,” the blue vixen said smiling to each of them. “Shall we head out?”\n\t“Yeah, I can drive,” Leo said. \n\t“Mkay!” the girls said in unison. \n\tThey walked out of the trailer towards Leo's 4-door sedan parked close by, got in and drove off to Chalmer's. The drive was only about a 5 minute trip from the build site by car, and the air conditioning on this warm bright day was more than welcome to them all having been outside for most of their work day. When they arrived, they were able to find a spot somewhat close to the front door, got out and walked towards the door with Leo taking a few quick strides to the door to open the door for Miyu and Krystal. The girls smiled and thanked him, Miyu walking in first followed by Krystal which gave opportunity for Leo to get a good view of Krystal's rump this time. The skinny rabbit blushed softly as he took in her gorgeous curves as they walked in. [i]Oof....such a lovely view[/i] he thought to himself, the thought entering into Krystal's telepathic mind, making her smile and giggle quietly. \n\tA table for four was nearby and they all sat down, the girls sitting across from Leo. Sid them came up promptly and happily. He always seemed to be a chipper man, always in a good mood, very much like General Pepper. “Hello again Miyu, my favorite kitten,” he said giving a hug and a kiss to the cheek to Miyu, the lynx smiling and giving him a hug and a smooch back.\n\t“Aaaaawwwww hello again, Uncle Sid,” she said. \n\tKrystal smiled and waved to Sid, the platypus smiling and waving happily. “My lovely vixy, how is Krystal?” he asked joyously.\n\t“Doing well, Sid, thank you,” she replied.\n\t“And thank you so much for coming in again, Leo,” Sid said to him, giving him a pat on the shoulder.\n\t“Thank you, Sid. You're awesome,” Leo replied.\n\t“Anyone need menus or do you know whatcha want today?” he asked.\n\t“Actually, I'm gonna go for that triple power burger of yours again with a large portion of salsa fries” Miyu said. “Cooked medium with pickles, spicy mustard and raw onions only, please.”\n\t“Fish and chips with a side of coleslaw, thanks Sid,” Krystal replied.\n\t“I wanna do that king sized BLT you have with a side of fried pickles,” Leo said.\n\t“You got it guys,” Sid said.\n\t“Oh and umm..... let's get your largest strawberry shake with three straws to share for a dessert,” Leo added, giving a bit of a blushy smile in the girls' direction.\n\tSid smiled and gave a thumbs up and waddled off towards the kitchen to begin their order.\n\tThe three sat and conversed softly while waiting for their food, Miyu and Leo unable to take their eyes off each other much, Krystal smiling as she watched the two of them, pleased to see them both so happy together, especially Miyu. “Kinda surprised to see a single guy with a 4-door sedan, Leo,” Krystal commented in curiosity.\n\tLeo chuckled and looked over at the blue vixen with a smile. “Hehe... well, my first car was one when I got my license. I find them easy to drive and fix, cheap to insure, and they're very versatile for different uses,” he said. \n\tMiyu nodded in agreement to his answer. [i]He is very down to earth with mechanical stuff too.[/i] “I noticed in your application you got to experience several different firms and companies in your field before coming here,” Miyu noted.\n\t“Yeah, but....” his arm lifted to rub the back of his head, a bit of nervousness showing as he continued, “I didn't feel like I was accomplishing much thanks to what I considered mediocre or poor management with those companies. But here, I feel like I'm making a true difference with my ideas and designs,” he said happily.\n\t“You definitely are, Leo,” Miyu responded softly with a smile, her arm reaching slowly across the table to hold his hand in hers, her nubtail wagging softly behind her just as Leo's spade-shaped bunny tail was wagging too. “I would've taken weeks longer to come up with a lot of what you came up with and it likely would've involved TONS of revisions and edits. I think your plans we only had to change.... one or two things in total, wasn't it?”\n\t“Something like that. Wasn't too much,” he replied. “How goes it with the hospital stuff, Krystal?” he inquired.\n\t“It's going quite well,” she said. “We've got pretty much everything set up with only a few more shipments of supplies to come in tomorrow to get fully established. We even had our first childbirth really early this morning.... was a dolphin from a couple that escaped Aquas before the last battle. They named him Oceanus.”\n\tLeo and Miyu let out a soft “aaaawwwww” of adoration at the news. The three sat and chatted about their duties idly before the food came, and when Leo saw the burger that Miyu had ordered, his eyes went wide and his jaw dropped. This burger was at least 6 inches wide and had three patties about a half inch thick. It was truly a monstrous burger. “Geez that thing is huge!” Leo said, making the girls giggle. \n\t[i]Hopefully someday I'll be able to say the same about a certain part of you, cutie bun[/i] Miyu thought to herself, a soft snicker coming from Krystal's muzzle. “Hehehe... weeeeeell... it does take a lotta protein,” Miyu raised her left arm and flexed it powerfully, Leo's eyes gazing upon Miyu's well-muscled arm with wide eyes and a bit of smile, “to get guns like theeeeese,” she said with a toothy grin. She then saw his face, unable to read him from that reaction, then quickly put her arm down and blushed nervously. [i]IDIOT! Don't show off and scare him! [/i]she thought to herself. She then picked up the burger and took a slow big bite out of it as they all began to eat, Leo smiling and eating thru his sandwich with pleasure, Krystal quite enjoying her fish and chips as well. \n\tMinutes went by, Leo, Miyu and Krystal eating away happily at their meals, Sid coming up halfway thru the meal to check on them. “Hey there, kiddos, how is everything?” he asked, all of them giving him a thumbs up. \n\t“Very excellent as always, Sid. I'm not entirely sure, but I think Miyu my need a takeout box,” Leo said with a wink in her direction. This made Sid chuckle out loudly. \n\t“Hahaha! We'll see my boy, but I very much doubt it. I've seen Miyu eat THREE of these burgers in one sitting,” she smiled and batted her eyes adorably in his direction.\n\t“WHA??? THREE???” Leo asked, totally dumbfounded by this statement.\n\t“I have been known to participate in eating contests here at Sid's off and on since the first time I came to Corneria,” she said softly.\n\t“She still holds a lot of records for many types of challenges and dishes here, too,” Sid said, wrapping an arm behind Miyu and hugging her close to his side. “She's my hungry hungry trooper.” Miyu hugged Sid softly between bites with a wide closed-eyed smile and a cute purr of bliss. Sid was such a lovable personality, it was difficult to not love him.\n\t“Wow, that is impressive!” Leo said.\n\t“Sure is. Did y'all want me to start that milkshake for ya?” he asked.\n\t“I think so, yeah. Thank you, Sid,” Krystal replied.\n\tHe went off to make that milkshake as the three finished off what bites of food they had left, and within minutes, a big wide fountain glass with their strawberry milkshake came to the table with three straws in it. All three of them giving kid-like “ooooohhhhh”s at it before giving a giggle while Sid took away their other plates and left the tab on the edge of the table. The straws were long and thick to be able to drink the milkshake with ease.\n\tThey all began to drink from the big glass together, Miyu and Leo smiling at each other and gazing into each other's eyes in bliss, resting their heads on one hand as their other reached across the table, their free hands holding each other lovingly, their gazes lost in their own heavenly worlds of joy and happiness. Their tails wagged happily as they sat and drank, Krystal smiling and loving how adorable a couple Leo and Miyu were, her mind going into Miyu's softly to hear her thoughts..... [i]Mnf.... gods I wish this straw was your dick, cutie bun.... I just wanna take you home and... Suck. You. Dryyyyyy. [/i]\n\tKrystal blushed a bit at the thought, her own thought in her head being [i]Teehee, yikes! DOWN, you naughty girl.[/i] Krystal continued to watch the two of them as they all sipped the milkshake down, the blue vixen totally unprepared when her mind went into Leo's to hear him think.... [i]Gods she is so gorgeous and strong.... I hope she has a strap-on.... I would totally give anything to let her brutally wreck my holes with it...[/i]\n\tKrystal's eyes went wide and began to cough and choke a bit, totally breaking the moment and making them look to her suddenly. “ACK! It's okay, I'm fine! Just.... wrong pipe suddenly,” Krystal blushed.\n\tMiyu then got up out of her seat. “I'll get some more napkins.” Leo's eyes couldn't help but gaze over at Miyu's firm butt as she walked away from their table, then moved back to look at Krystal. “Are you sure you're alri-- …..huh?” His eyes were then met with Krystal grinning ear to ear toothily, and giving him a wink. He blinklbinked, then blushed beet red as he went back to his straw in the milkshake, thinking Krystal caught him staring at Miyu's ass. [i]Nice one getting caught, you DUMBASS[/i] he thought to himself.\n\tMiyu then came back with some extra napkins for Krystal, who took them softly to wipe the end of her muzzle clean. “Totally okay now,” Krystal said with a cute smile. The trio finished up their milkshake and then paid their tab with Sid, giving his a very generous gratuity, the happy platypus giving each of them a hug and many thanks as they departed.\n\tThe ride was silent on the way back to the work site, Miyu casually reaching over to hold Leo's hand in hers as he drove, the two smiling softly as Krystal sat in the back and watched them, also smiling. Five minutes of driving and they arrived back at the work site, Krystal giving each of them a hug and bidding them farewell as she went off back to the MASH units nearby, leaving Leo and Miyu to return to work.\n\n\t--Work site A, 15:19--\n\n\tWork went on directing new shipments of materials and supplies coming into the work site, Miyu and Leo directing trucks and carriers with items needed to construct the first tent cities... tent tarps, poles, ropes, cots, and walls. There were also mobile generators with additional solar and wind turbine power inputs being placed along the streets with plenty of light poles and cabling being brought in to be installed to get a basic electrical grid up and running.\n\tOne such truck was driving slowly past them at a crawl as they were talking with a foreman giving him directions on where to put the load of electrical poles and piles of round wooden wheels of cabling on it. As the long trailer got halfway past them, a loud twang could be heard as metal banding that bound up light poles in the very middle of the trailer lengthwise had given way, causing another two bandings on the same pile to fail from overload, causing the poles to fall off to the sides of the trailer, in turn forcing anything in their way off the trailer and onto the ground, and where Miyu and Leo were standing was only about six feet off to the side, a stack of three wooden three foot wide reels of electrical cabling fell off in their direction. \n\t“Shit, look out!” Miyu was quick to react to this and immediately lunged into Leo to force him away from the trailer, the two of them rolling away from the trailer three or four times leaving Miyu on top of Leo, his bunny arms wrapped loosely and instinctively around her waist when they stopped rolling. Miyu then quickly looked up to her left in the direction of the falling poles and reels and noticed the top most reel on the pile was slowly rolling towards them, the powerful lynx instinctively raising her left leg and kicking it into the reel stopping it from rolling over her and Leo, the strong lynx growling out loudly as she exerted all her strength into her leg, her muscles flexing all over as Leo got an up-close view of her gritting her predatory teeth together, the whole sight making his heart beat frantically, knowing if it wasn't for her, he'd likely have been crushed and probably killed.\n\tOnce the cable wheel had stopped, about four or five other workers nearby, including the foreman they spoke to, ran over to the wheel and proceeded to kick the cable wheel onto its flat side to put it to rest. Miyu slowly let her leg down, panting deep to catch her breath as she then softly looked into Leo's face, her gorgeous eyes meeting his once again. “Are you okay, Leo?” she asked, still laying over him. He was also panting in a mode of fright from the whole experience, but nodded quickly a few times, letting out a feeble “Uh-huh.” Miyu sighed in relief as she began to slowly get up with her head turned slightly to the left, but her body was stopped gently by Leo's arms that were still softly wrapped around her lower back. She stopped and slowly turned her gaze back into his eyes, giving him a soft smile that lasted a few seconds before trying to get up again, this time his arms drooping down to his sides as he watched her get up.\n\tShe then stood up and then bent down with an arm extended to him to help him up, his right hand slowly raising to take her hand in his, his eyes watching from her legs all the way up along her strong and sexy body to her eyes as she pulled him up to his feet, his heart racing in excitement as she smiled at him. The foreman came over to check on the two as the truck stopped and the driver and other nearby workers set on trying to quickly reload the trailer with what had spilled off, effectively shutting down one of the entry gates to the compound. “Geez, I'm so sorry guys,” the foreman said nervously to Leo and Miyu. “One of the metal bandings around the poles gave way and created this whole big mess.”\n\tLeo was shivering and panting from the experience now, feeling hot and sweaty all over from the near-death experience. “I-it's okay, we're f-fine,” he said with a whimper in his voice, Miyu suddenly feeling concerned for her bunny. “I-I gotta sit down for a bit, excuse me,” he said, immediately turning around and hobbling off to the foreman's trailer, Miyu quickly following him. Leo rattled the handle and burst into the trailer and quickly sat himself down in a chair, panting and whimpering as he shakily reached into the nearby fridge for a bottle of water, Miyu helping him by grabbing two bottles for him and then leaning into him and placing the water bottles on either side of his face, her eyes into his once more as she calmed and comforted him. “Shhhh it's okay, you're fine, I'm here with you. Just sit still and breathe deep and slow, deep and slow,” Miyu said sweetly and calmly, her heart frantic in fear as she tried to keep Leo from going into breakdown.\n\tHis eyes dripped with tears as he kept gazing into her eyes, panting deep and slow, his breathing and heartbeat starting to finally slow down as his hands raised up slowly to join hers, smiling as the beautiful azure color of her eyes soothed him. The lighting in the trailer was a bunch of rectangular fluorescent lights in a box grid layout, and in the position Leo sat in his chair along with Miyu positioned standing and kneeling over him to watch over him, through his blurry teary eyes, he could swear that Miyu had bright white angel wings at this moment, her silver jacket reflecting light in such a way that it too looked bright white. He felt his heart beating softly as he slowly panted in calmness while he rubbed his hands over hers. “Am.... am I..... still alive, Miyu?” \n\tShe smiled, a few tears of her own falling down her cheeks as she remained loomed over him softly. “Yes, you're here with me, alive and well, in this trailer,” Miyu replied sweetly.\n\tLeo took a slow deep breath and sighed happily during his exhale. “That's good.... because I swear I'm looking at a guardian angel right now,” he said dreamily.\n\tMiyu look at an adorable squeak as she grinned more, her cheeks blushing softly. “Eeeeee.... such a sweetie bun,” she said softly. She couldn't hold herself back anymore. She slowly moved in closer to his muzzle, her nose softly touching his, her lips meeting his, kissing him sweetly and softly for several seconds, their eyes closing as they tilted their heads softly to opposite directions, moving a tiny bit closer, their lips together again as their muzzles opened a little bit to kiss a little deeper. ~Chapter 4 – Quick Reactions, Slow Affections~


\t--New Corneria City building plot, eastern border of Corneria City limits, one month later--

\tIt didn't take long for Miyu and Leo to gather up a building team to create the layout for the first new city to be built for immigrants and refugees coming to Corneria after the war.  Leo's spare time drawings and schematics were found to be incredibly useful to the project.  Leo felt very satisfied to know that something he looked at as just random doodles he made in his spare time would be paramount into helping many people.  He along with many people in Corneria were anxious and excited to see what it would turn out to be.
\tAfter only about a few days or so after Miyu and Leo's initial meeting, they were already out on the grounds, spending hours going over the ground surface to determine it's strength and its composition.  The land was inland from the sea and was chosen to be determined for a possible location for other ventures in the last decade, however nothing was actually built upon it due to lack of funding from a few previous developers, but it was the perfect space and the perfect time to build on now.  Different times and circumstances have finally come to build on it now.  
\tWhile the new plot will eventually become a huge community for mass apartment complexes, for now it would be a lot of insulated tents and barracks for immediate housing for the incoming refugees and immigrants while another empty plot just south of it was being planned and the ground prepped and leveled for another tent city.  Amanda and Krystal were busy with moving in a mobile hospital along with a team of nurses and doctors to treat the sick and injured.  
\tAfter a rather brief groundbreaking event in the new section of land, it was nearing midday.  The springtime weather was warm, calm and beautiful in the region that day as Miyu and Leo gathered up some of their supplies and tools to bring into the foreman's trailer.  The pair had spent a lot of time working together over the course of the last month, half the time being professionals in their work, the other half being two very good supportive friends, their relationship getting stronger and stronger.  The tall rabbit gave a minor stretch as he looked at the clock in the trailer, 11:53.  “I'm hungry,” Leo said.
\t“Nuh-uhh, you're bunny,” Miyu said smiling, reaching out and giving his chin a scritch with her claw tips.
\tLeo smiled with closed eyes, giving a soft and cute purr and wiggle of his spade-shaped tail. “I'm a hungry bunny,” he replied adorably.
\tMiyu giggled and smiled at his reaction. So darn cute! A soft chime from her phone filled the air, making her retrieve it to check the incoming message.... it was from Krystal, simple and to the point. “Lunch @ Chalmer's?”  “Ooh, Krystal's heading to the diner for lunch,” she said.
\t“Tell her we'll join, if you wanna, that is,” Leo replied.
\t“Sure thing,” Miyu said, tapping an affirmative reply to Krystal.  Only a minute or two passed before Krystal entered the trailer. “Hi there, vixy,” Miyu said upon her arrival.
\t“Hey, cute kitty.  Hi bunny,” the blue vixen said smiling to each of them.  “Shall we head out?”
\t“Yeah, I can drive,” Leo said.  
\t“Mkay!” the girls said in unison.  
\tThey walked out of the trailer towards Leo's 4-door sedan parked close by, got in and drove off to Chalmer's.  The drive was only about a 5 minute trip from the build site by car, and the air conditioning on this warm bright day was more than welcome to them all having been outside for most of their work day. When they arrived, they were able to find a spot somewhat close to the front door, got out and walked towards the door with Leo taking a few quick strides to the door to open the door for Miyu and Krystal.  The girls smiled and thanked him, Miyu walking in first followed by Krystal which gave opportunity for Leo to get a good view of Krystal's rump this time.  The skinny rabbit blushed softly as he took in her gorgeous curves as they walked in. Oof....such a lovely view he thought to himself, the thought entering into Krystal's telepathic mind, making her smile and giggle quietly.  
\tA table for four was nearby and they all sat down, the girls sitting across from Leo.  Sid them came up promptly and happily.  He always seemed to be a chipper man, always in a good mood, very much like General Pepper.  “Hello again Miyu, my favorite kitten,” he said giving a hug and a kiss to the cheek to Miyu, the lynx smiling and giving him a hug and a smooch back.
\t“Aaaaawwwww hello again, Uncle Sid,” she said.
\tKrystal smiled and waved to Sid, the platypus smiling and waving happily.  “My lovely vixy, how is Krystal?” he asked joyously.
\t“Doing well, Sid, thank you,” she replied.
\t“And thank you so much for coming in again, Leo,” Sid said to him, giving him a pat on the shoulder.
\t“Thank you, Sid.  You're awesome,”  Leo replied.
\t“Anyone need menus or do you know whatcha want today?” he asked.
\t“Actually, I'm gonna go for that triple power burger of yours again with a large portion of salsa fries” Miyu said. “Cooked medium with pickles, spicy mustard and raw onions only, please.”
\t“Fish and chips with a side of coleslaw, thanks Sid,” Krystal replied.
\t“I wanna do that king sized BLT you have with a side of fried pickles,” Leo said.
\t“You got it guys,” Sid said.
\t“Oh and umm..... let's get your largest strawberry shake with three straws to share for a dessert,” Leo added, giving a bit of a blushy smile in the girls' direction.
\tSid smiled and gave a thumbs up and waddled off towards the kitchen to begin their order.
\tThe three sat and conversed softly while waiting for their food, Miyu and Leo unable to take their eyes off each other much, Krystal smiling as she watched the two of them, pleased to see them both so happy together, especially Miyu.  “Kinda surprised to see a single guy with a 4-door sedan, Leo,” Krystal commented in curiosity.
\tLeo chuckled and looked over at the blue vixen with a smile.  “Hehe... well, my first car was one when I got my license.  I find them easy to drive and fix, cheap to insure, and they're very versatile for different uses,” he said.  
\tMiyu nodded in agreement to his answer.  He is very down to earth with mechanical stuff too. “I noticed in your application you got to experience several different firms and companies in your field before coming here,” Miyu noted.
\t“Yeah, but....” his arm lifted to rub the back of his head, a bit of nervousness showing as he continued, “I didn't feel like I was accomplishing much thanks to what I considered mediocre or poor  management with those companies.  But here, I feel like I'm making a true difference with my ideas and designs,” he said happily.
\t“You definitely are, Leo,” Miyu responded softly with a smile, her arm reaching slowly across the table to hold his hand in hers, her nubtail wagging softly behind her just as Leo's spade-shaped bunny tail was wagging too.  “I would've taken weeks longer to come up with a lot of what you came up with and it likely would've involved TONS of revisions and edits.  I think your plans we only had to change.... one or two things in total, wasn't it?”
\t“Something like that.  Wasn't too much,” he replied.  “How goes it with the hospital stuff, Krystal?” he inquired.
\t“It's going quite well,” she said.  “We've got pretty much everything set up with only a few more shipments of supplies to come in tomorrow to get fully established.  We even had our first childbirth really early this morning.... was a dolphin from a couple that escaped Aquas before the last battle.  They named him Oceanus.”
\tLeo and Miyu let out a soft “aaaawwwww” of adoration at the news.  The three sat and chatted about their duties idly before the food came, and when Leo saw the burger that Miyu had ordered, his eyes went wide and his jaw dropped.  This burger was at least 6 inches wide and had three patties about a half inch thick.  It was truly a monstrous burger.  “Geez that thing is huge!” Leo said, making the girls giggle.  
\tHopefully someday I'll be able to say the same about a certain part of you, cutie bun Miyu thought to herself, a soft snicker coming from Krystal's muzzle.  “Hehehe... weeeeeell... it does take a lotta protein,” Miyu raised her left arm and flexed it powerfully, Leo's eyes gazing upon Miyu's well-muscled arm with wide eyes and a bit of smile, “to get guns like theeeeese,” she said with a toothy grin.  She then saw his face, unable to read him from that reaction, then quickly put her arm down and blushed nervously.  IDIOT! Don't show off and scare him! she thought to herself.  She then picked up the burger and took a slow big bite out of it as they all began to eat, Leo smiling and eating thru his sandwich with pleasure, Krystal quite enjoying her fish and chips as well.  
\tMinutes went by, Leo, Miyu and Krystal eating away happily at their meals, Sid coming up halfway thru the meal to check on them.  “Hey there, kiddos, how is everything?”  he asked, all of them giving him a thumbs up.  
\t“Very excellent as always, Sid.  I'm not entirely sure, but I think Miyu my need a takeout box,” Leo said with a wink in her direction.  This made Sid chuckle out loudly.  
\t“Hahaha!  We'll see my boy, but I very much doubt it.  I've seen Miyu eat THREE of these burgers in one sitting,” she smiled and batted her eyes adorably in his direction.
\t“WHA??? THREE???” Leo asked, totally dumbfounded by this statement.
\t“I have been known to participate in eating contests here at Sid's off and on since the first time I came to Corneria,” she said softly.
\t“She still holds a lot of records for many types of challenges and dishes here, too,” Sid said, wrapping an arm behind Miyu and hugging her close to his side.  “She's my hungry hungry trooper.”  Miyu hugged Sid softly between bites with a wide closed-eyed smile and a cute purr of bliss.  Sid was such a lovable personality, it was difficult to not love him.
\t“Wow, that is impressive!” Leo said.
\t“Sure is.  Did y'all want me to start that milkshake for ya?” he asked.
\t“I think so, yeah.  Thank you, Sid,” Krystal replied.
\tHe went off to make that milkshake as the three finished off what bites of food they had left, and within minutes, a big wide fountain glass with their strawberry milkshake came to the table with three straws in it.  All three of them giving kid-like “ooooohhhhh”s at it before giving a giggle while Sid took away their other plates and left the tab on the edge of the table.  The straws were long and thick to be able to drink the milkshake with ease.
\tThey all began to drink from the big glass together, Miyu and Leo smiling at each other and gazing into each other's eyes in bliss, resting their heads on one hand as their other reached across the table, their free hands holding each other lovingly, their gazes lost in their own heavenly worlds of joy and happiness.  Their tails wagged happily as they sat and drank, Krystal smiling and loving how adorable a couple Leo and Miyu were, her mind going into Miyu's softly to hear her thoughts..... \tMiyu then came back with some extra napkins for Krystal, who took them softly to wipe the end of her muzzle clean.  “Totally okay now,” Krystal said with a cute smile.  The trio finished up their milkshake and then paid their tab with Sid, giving his a very generous gratuity, the happy platypus giving each of them a hug and many thanks as they departed.
\tThe ride was silent on the way back to the work site, Miyu casually reaching over to hold Leo's hand in hers as he drove, the two smiling softly as Krystal sat in the back and watched them, also smiling.  Five minutes of driving and they arrived back at the work site, Krystal giving each of them a hug and bidding them farewell as she went off back to the MASH units nearby, leaving Leo and Miyu to return to work.

\tWork went on directing new shipments of materials and supplies coming into the work site, Miyu and Leo directing trucks and carriers with items needed to construct the first tent cities... tent tarps, poles, ropes, cots, and walls.  There were also mobile generators with additional solar and wind turbine power inputs being placed along the streets with plenty of light poles and cabling being brought in to be installed to get a basic electrical grid up and running.
\tOne such truck was driving slowly past them at a crawl as they were talking with a foreman giving him directions on where to put the load of electrical poles and piles of round wooden wheels of cabling on it. As the long trailer got halfway past them, a loud twang could be heard as metal banding that bound up light poles in the very middle of the trailer lengthwise had given way, causing another two bandings on the same pile to fail from overload, causing the poles to fall off to the sides of the trailer, in turn forcing anything in their way off the trailer and onto the ground, and where Miyu and Leo were standing was only about six feet off to the side, a stack of three wooden three foot wide reels of electrical cabling fell off in their direction.  
\t“Shit, look out!” Miyu was quick to react to this and immediately lunged into Leo to force him away from the trailer, the two of them rolling away from the trailer three or four times leaving Miyu on top of Leo, his bunny arms wrapped loosely and instinctively around her waist when they stopped rolling.  Miyu then quickly looked up to her left in the direction of the falling poles and reels and noticed the top most reel on the pile was slowly rolling towards them, the powerful lynx instinctively raising her left leg and kicking it into the reel stopping it from rolling over her and Leo, the strong lynx growling out loudly as she exerted all her strength into her leg, her muscles flexing all over as Leo got an up-close view of her gritting her predatory teeth together, the whole sight making his heart beat frantically, knowing if it wasn't for her, he'd likely have been crushed and probably killed.
\tOnce the cable wheel had stopped, about four or five other workers nearby, including the foreman they spoke to, ran over to the wheel and proceeded to kick the cable wheel onto its flat side to put it to rest.  Miyu slowly let her leg down, panting deep to catch her breath as she then softly looked into Leo's face, her gorgeous eyes meeting his once again.  “Are you okay, Leo?”  she asked, still laying over him.  He was also panting in a mode of fright from the whole experience, but nodded quickly a few times, letting out a feeble “Uh-huh.”  Miyu sighed in relief as she began to slowly get up with her head turned slightly to the left, but her body was stopped gently by Leo's arms that were still softly wrapped around her lower back.  She stopped and slowly turned her gaze back into his eyes, giving him a soft smile that lasted a few seconds before trying to get up again, this time his arms drooping down to his sides as he watched her get up.
\tShe then stood up and then bent down with an arm extended to him to help him up, his right hand slowly raising to take her hand in his, his eyes watching from her legs all the way up along her strong and sexy body to her eyes as she pulled him up to his feet, his heart racing in excitement as she smiled at him. The foreman came over to check on the two as the truck stopped and the driver and other nearby workers set on trying to quickly reload the trailer with what had spilled off, effectively shutting down one of the entry gates to the compound.  “Geez, I'm so sorry guys,” the foreman said nervously to Leo and Miyu. “One of the metal bandings around the poles gave way and created this whole big mess.”
\tLeo was shivering and panting from the experience now, feeling hot and sweaty all over from the near-death experience.  “I-it's okay, we're f-fine,” he said with a whimper in his voice, Miyu suddenly feeling concerned for her bunny.  “I-I gotta sit down for a bit, excuse me,” he said, immediately turning around and hobbling off to the foreman's trailer, Miyu quickly following him.  Leo rattled the handle and burst into the trailer and quickly sat himself down in a chair, panting and whimpering as he shakily reached into the nearby fridge for a bottle of water, Miyu helping him by grabbing two bottles for him and then leaning into him and placing the water bottles on either side of his face, her eyes into his once more as she calmed and comforted him. “Shhhh it's okay, you're fine, I'm here with you.  Just sit still and breathe deep and slow, deep and slow,” Miyu said sweetly and calmly, her heart frantic in fear as she tried to keep Leo from going into breakdown.
\tHis eyes dripped with tears as he kept gazing into her eyes, panting deep and slow, his breathing and heartbeat starting to finally slow down as his hands raised up slowly to join hers, smiling as the beautiful azure color of her eyes soothed him.  The lighting in the trailer was a bunch of rectangular fluorescent lights in a box grid layout, and in the position Leo sat in his chair along with Miyu positioned standing and kneeling over him to watch over him, through his blurry teary eyes, he could swear that Miyu had bright white angel wings at this moment, her silver jacket reflecting light in such a way that it too looked bright white.  He felt his heart beating softly as he slowly panted in calmness while he rubbed his hands over hers. “Am.... am I..... still alive, Miyu?”  
\tShe smiled, a few tears of her own falling down her cheeks as she remained loomed over him softly.  “Yes, you're here with me, alive and well, in this trailer,” Miyu replied sweetly.
\tLeo took a slow deep breath and sighed happily during his exhale.  “That's good.... because I swear I'm looking at a guardian angel right now,” he said dreamily.
\tMiyu look at an adorable squeak as she grinned more, her cheeks blushing softly.  “Eeeeee.... such a sweetie bun,” she said softly.  She couldn't hold herself back anymore.  She slowly moved in closer to his muzzle, her nose softly touching his, her lips meeting his, kissing him sweetly and softly for several seconds, their eyes closing as they tilted their heads softly to opposite directions, moving a tiny bit closer, their lips together again as their muzzles opened a little bit to kiss a little deeper.  They kissed softly and sweetly for many more moments before Miyu softly pulled away, their eyes opening slowly to gaze into each other once more.  “How're you feeling now?” she asked soothingly.
\tHe breathed in deep and slow and exhaled once more with a happy sigh of bliss and comfort.  “aaahhh.... much better, Miyu,” he said, slowly starting to stand up before her, her hands dropping the water bottles to the floor, cupping his cheeks and scritching them softly with her fingertips, his hands reaching to caress her face softly, scritching her adorable cheek fluffs with his fingertips softly, the sensation illiciting cute mewls and soft gentle meows from Miyu as they stood together.  Leo smiled and pressed in a little until their noses were together once more and rubbed his back and forth hers slowly and softly, giving her sweet eskimo kisses as his muzzle tooth purred happily.
\tThey held close together for many more minutes, their eyes never leaving each other's, Miyu finally breaking the silence.  “ppprrrr... I think we should head home... I've had enough excitement for one day,” she replied.
\tHe nodded softly in agreement.  “Yeah.... let's go home....”  He slowly moved closer to the trailer door and opened it, stepping down the steps and walked towards his car, Miyu stopping him softly.
\t“Hey umm.... lemme drive, okay Leo?” she asked.
\tHe nodded again, walking towards the passenger front door of his car as Miyu walked to his driver's door, pushing the button on the handle twice to unlock the doors, then they both got in.  They put their safety belts on and Miyu pushed the engine start button, the engine purring to life before she put the car into reverse, backing away from the trailer in a turn, then into drive.  

\t--Corneria Air Force Base apartments, 16:11--

\tMiyu drove Leo's car the short drive into Corneria Air Force Base, presenting their IDs at the gate for entry, then drove to her apartment complex.  She then shut the engine off and they both exited his car, standing on the sidewalk in front of the entrance to Miyu's apartment building.
\tThey stood there for many moments, holding each other's hands softly, their eyes locked into each others as they remained silent.  “Th-thank you.... for everything today, M-Miyu,” he said softly.
\tShe smiled and nodded, her thumbs rubbing over the back of his hands softly and slowly.  “My pleasure, bunny,” she replied.  More quietness while holding hands continued, Miyu's mind going loud in her head, her conscience being VERY demanding.  Ask him in, ask him IN, DAMMIT ASK HIM IN! “D-do you.... want to come in for a while?” she asked nervously.
\tHe smiled, his hands fidgeting in hers as he stood there, one hand releasing from hers and softly reaching for the driver's door to his car and the unlock button.  “I umm... I should probably.... head back to my apa--”
\tMiyu's mind went into fright, her heart racing frantically as his words and motion towards his driver's car door scared her, her mind screaming at her!  DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE LET HIM GOOOOOOOO! She gasped and stepped a bit closer to him quickly, her voice on the verge of breakdown as she suddenly blurted out on the verge of tears. “Please don't leave me again!” Leo was taken aback by her reaction, her eyes dripping with tears, incredibly sad and quiet whimpers escaping her maw as she was in a battle to smile over her desire to cry.
\tLeo gasped softly as he stared into her face, feeling bad that he tried to get away, his fingertip pushing the button on the door handle to lock his car securely.  “I-I'm sorry, Miyu.... I'll stay,” he said with a smile, some tears going down his cheeks as he leaned in to hug her close and tight. After a few moments, she softly leaned back and lifted him up off his feet a few inches, smiling over his shoulder with eyes closed, and said, “my bun.”
\tLeo smiled wide with closed eyes, turning his head to give her a kiss on the cheek and whispered into her ear, “my angel kitty.”
\tShe smiled and put Leo down on the ground, the bunny wrapping an arm around Miyu's as he walked with her inside the complex to her apartment.  They walked along a hallway to an elevator and with a swipe of her wireless fob went to the top floor, five levels up to her apartment which was more like a penthouse suite.  She then opened the door and slowly walked in, the interior totally not what Leo was expecting for being on a military installation.  Inside was very much like a cabin in the woods, log beam siding with wood covering just about every hard surface, very similar to her parent's place in Corneria City.
\tMiyu guided Leo slowly over to her living room couch and sat on the end cushion by one of the arms, sitting Leo down next to her in the middle.  She then softly leaned back, guiding him softly to lay over her softly while her thick and powerful legs wrapped around his waist, resting his head on her bosom while hugging him close, petting over his head and kissing between the base of his ears, letting out a soft sigh.  Leo smiled and bunny purred softly as he hugged Miyu softly while he cuddled with her on the couch, his breathing slow and calm as he rest his head on her ample bosom, wiggling his tail softly from the lovely floral scent of her fur from her perfume she wore.

\tThey lay together going thru the options on the pizza place's app, settling on an extra large with lots of meat and veggies on it.  Miyu was quite pleased that Leo was omnivorous and could handle eating meat, making ordering stuff easier.  The order was put through, and they resumed their snuggles on the couch for almost a half hour before her phone chimed with a notice that the pizza delivery was at her elevator, prompting them to sit up so Miyu could go down the elevator to receive the pizza.  A few short minutes later, she returned with food, setting it down on the small coffee table in front of the couch so they could eat together.  
\tThe next half hour or so was spent eating, the buff lynx eating quickly as she normally did, scarfing down her food while Leo sat and smiled as she watched her.  By the time the food was gone, the rabbit had two slices while Miyu had downed the last bite of her sixth huge slice.  Leo chuckled as he watcher her down the last bite, the response making Miyu giggle with a blush.  “Wut?” she asked with a smile.
\t“I still wanna see you in an eating competition.  I wanna watch some big fat fellow get a bellyache while you sit there smiling as cute as you do,” he said to her smiling as she wiped her face clean with a napkin.
