“Hey, we’re back.” The hushed gruff voice drew Sara from her half-sleep as she looked up from the muted television to the wolf-couple smiling at her from the doorway, the heavy scent of their perfume and cologne already filling each of her breaths. “How was little Henry?”

“He was fine for the most part, ate okay and should be in bed…” The vixen’s gaze moved off to the hallway where the cub’s bedroom was, lazy smile fading into a look of partial concern as she was greeted by the worried teary eyes of the cub staring back at her.

“M-mmm…” The young wolf’s eyes started to water as he stood there, tiny fingers gripping against the wooden walls as he waited for his parents to speak.

“What’re you doing up, sweetie? Didn’t Sara here put you to bed?”

“I-I h-had a bad-dream…” The cub spoke between sobs after a brief pause, peeking out even more from around the corner of the hall.

“Oh, why don’t you go lay in there with him?” the woman spoke, waving a hand to motion for Sara to console the young pup. “Should be more comfy than the couch anyhow.”

“It’d be a big help.” The gruff voice spoke again, no longer in a whisper as the old wolf stroked at his chin – watching as Sara wiped the hint of sleep from her eyes before taking Henry’s hand and leading him back off into his bedroom.

“Come on now Henry, let’s go get some sleep.”

“O-okay…” The pup sniffled a bit as he followed along with the fox, giving a glance back to his parents before the two disappeared behind the corner into the dark of the pup’s room.

“Here, let me tuck you in first.” Henry plopped himself down on the bed first, eyes looking up to the vixen expectantly as his body went limp as she pulled the covers out from under him before throwing them over him once again – making sure to gently push the corners around his body as a smile slowly curled across her face.

“Better?”

“Y-yeah…” The cub snuggled up with the blankets around him, barely moving himself far enough to the side to let the vixen lay down next to him as she struggled to adjust herself on the rather small bed.

“Good, now get some sleep – you’ve got school tomorrow.” 

“O-okay Miss Sara…”

I haven’t posted anything cub-related in a while, or anything at all to IB, so here is something to break that.

Kinks included are:
