“That’s so cute~” Becky stopped in her tracks, Samantha soon following as she looked back with a raised eyebrow towards her friend. “Those kids made a ‘haunted house’~”

“Huh?” The grey-furred vixen’s gaze followed the dogs own towards the rather large building, thumping music and ambient screams coming from it as fog rolled out in the yard from the open door – lights flashing from within as five cubs stood proudly outside. “Yeah, guess they did.”

“It is pretty impressive. I’m sure they had help though.” Samantha waved her hand dismissively, though Becky remained entirely smitten by the sight before her. 

“Come on~ I’m sure it can’t cost that much~!”

“Becky, no wa—” The dog was already gone, the vixen letting out a huff through clenched teeth before following after – glaring down at the two cubs at the entrance as her friend already happily handed them over the entrance fee.

“Come on Sam, it was only five for each of us~!”

“Becky, I do—” Once again the vixen’s words would be cut off, the dog gripped her wrist firmly and tugging her along as the two disappeared into the interior of the building – the warm night air replaced with a cold chill.

“They put so much effort into this!” Becky’s tail wagged happily as the two walked along the maze of hallways and rooms set out for them, a few cardboard cutouts of monsters and various villains popping out every so often as the lights dimmed with each room they entered.

“Isn’t this so neat, Sam?”

“I don’t know, its not really all th—” Samantha’s dismissive words were cut off as she let out a slight yelp, the floor from under her suddenly giving way as her rump hit an inclined metal surface as she started to slide down into the depths below.

“S-Sammy!? Sam!?”
