Abigail sipped happily at her tea as she watched the park-goers pass on by, a smile on her face at such a perfect day. She was oblivious to the malevolent force watching her, eyeing her up as its prey. An incubus lay in wait beyond her perception, mulling over her like a wolf stalking its prey as he thought of what corruptive influence to thrust upon the poor women.

There was no suspense for the vixen though, she was fully unaware up until the force entered her mind of its presence. The demon took on the form of a small cub as it spread its ethereal grip over Abigail’s mind. It had been watching her for a while, and the screaming and excited yelps of the children just a few feet away had given it an idea. All it had to do was give this poor fox a push.

She felt something was wrong as soon as the force entered her mind. She could feel thoughts that were not her own, though at first they seemed subtle enough. She tried to brush them off, tried to ignore them. They were dark and vile, but blurry and vague though by the second they were growing more pronounced and much more clear.

“Hello Abby.”

The vixen shot up immediately, her head turning around as she looked for the source of the childish guttural voice only to find nothing and nobody there. She was already on edge from the feeling creeping into her mind, the presence there watching her sending a shiver through her spine.

“Don’t bother looking around, Abby, you can’t see me.”
