Simon nodded while nonchalantly tossing the catch of the day into the opened ice cooler only a few feet behind them. It would stay fresh there until they got back to the cabin later "A-yup. This one'll cook up nicely, it's big for a trout!" The fossa smiled at the energetic young cheetah who was still trying to untie the knots in his line so that he could realign his lure the way he'd been taught it was supposed to look. Their newly caught fish clattered around atop the ice in the plastic box until its commotion encouraged the lid to fall shut.
"Lemme help with that before you..." Weasel cut in but only just before the treble hook siezed the shoulder of the youth's shirt. Aiming to prevent any more injuries to clothing or cat--the cheetah had already caught the hook in someone else's shirt twice and his own at least three times while learning to cast--Weasel took hold of the rod first, then the line, to give it less room for unwieldy chaos. Intended not to have a hook to remove from the youth himself, the shorter adult waited for the cheetah to turn over control to him.
For once the cat didn't try to eagerly prove himself and let the mustelid help him coordinate and stow his loaned fishing gear. With the hook now delicately plucked free of his collar Kyyanno decided his shirt had been the problem all along and proceeded in taking it off, keen to move on to their next activity down at the wide, slow river. "Can we still go skinnydipping?!" he asked, eyes alight with excitement. Simon chuckled from where he was packing his own gear up after dealing with the large trout. Weasel--Simon's smaller adult companion--rolled his eyes in mock exasperation while crouched and zipping up the rod bag.
"Yes, we can still go..." was all the fossa had managed before the youth started tugging his shorts off, plainly unashamed of the fact that he was both going commando and now standing naked with the two older males. "...ugh, kids..." Weasel chuckled, figuring it was better to keep pace with the cat rather than let him get ahead of them and out of hand. "What would yer dad say if he knew about any'a this?" the mustelid asked as he started to strip off.
"He'd probably say "You lucky sod, here I am stuck at work and you go off having fun without me"....or something like that. He's a naturist too, 'member?" Kyy grinned with interest when he noticed Weasel was removing his clothes, hopping from one foot to the other in front of them to denote his eagerness without being rude. Having been told earlier that he wasn't allowed in the water until at least one of the others were ready, it was all he could muster not to hop right in.
"Sounds like the old man knows how to ....HEY!" Simon exclaimed, having just been pantsed by the excitable cheetah which admittedly was due in no small part to the enticingly relaxed grip the tall fossa's shorts had on his hips. Giggling, Kyyanno dodged a playful swat from his fellow feline. "I'll be ready in my own time...eesh" the fossa said, sighing and kicking the shorts from around his ankles over to where the rest of the gear was before lifting his shirt.
Weasel was already nude by now and he nodded to Kyy that they were good to go. A stroke of excitement crawled up the fur on the boy's spine, his attention on the delicately rippling water out ahead of him. Several paces back up the boardwalk, Kyy planted his feet, shimmied his tail, then started to run for the edge of the dock. Simon recognized the sound of feet storming across the planks and started to protest "Hey! Neither of us are in..." however his words were cut short with a mid-sentence squawk, his arms tangled in his half-removed shirt as Weasel playfully pushed him to teeter over the end of the planks and thus the waterside a mere foot away.
Simon hit the water first, followed seconds later by Kyy. As he came up, coughing and glaring at Weasel. The nude mustelid, who was now crouching down on the edge of the boards, merely grinned, "This was all your idea, maestro."
Weasel sat down on the edge of the dock, his feet dipping into the water, "After all, you set the rules. One of us had to be ready. One of us had to be in first. Well I'm ready, and you just happen to be in the water." The youthful cheetah sprang to the surface and chattered about not far away.
"Remind me not to make any wishes on you if you're ever a genie in a bottle." Simon grumbled, but his mood wasn't soured. It had been a good day's fishing, and their young charge seemed to be having a whale of a time in the water, a surprisingly competent swimmer for a feline. Weasel slipped into the water beside him and leaned toward him with a salacious grin. "Besides.... You look good in a wet t-shirt."
The fossa laughed, that much he couldn't deny.
