A new day had dawned. Few rays of a morning sun had infiltrated from a gap between curtains and shone on Ivory's face, eventually waking him up. He rubbed his eyes to shake off the sleep and yawned. As he opened his eyes, he was greeted by the sight of a man sleeping next to him. Sin. A smile then decorated Ivory's angelic face. Sin looked so peaceful when he was asleep. Usually he didn't look peaceful at all, since he was rather grumpy fellow. But even with that characteristic, Ivory loved him. He placed a gentle kiss on Sin's cheek and tried to make his way out of the bed as carefully as he could. He didn't want to wake Sin. What Ivory had learned about him was that he wasn't really a morning person. But also, Sin had mentioned that he had had a couple of rough days and hadn't been able to sleep that much. But why was that, he hadn't told. However, that was enough of a reason for Ivory to let him rest. The two men had been having some passionate moments last night, so Ivory was completely naked when he got out of the bed. He picked up some clothes that were laying on the floor; they were right at that spot where they had got abandoned as soon as it had been time to make some love. He got dressed, gave a one last loving glance at Sin and then exited the room, heading to downstairs in order to get some breakfast. It was at noon when Sin woke up. Ivory had been painting in his gallery when his lover had showed up in there. Ivory gave a smile for Sin, then focusing on again at his art piece. Sin walked across the room to check what Ivory was doing as he was curious to see what kind of painting he was currently working on. Now standing behind Ivory, he took a look at the canvas. A form of a stunning bird-like creature was slowly taking its shape. It kind of resembled a phoenix. Ivory's skillful brush strokes were deliberately bringing it to life. “I saw this bird in my dream”, Ivory mentioned as he painted. Sin didn't answer. He didn't make a single comment about this piece of art. He was just standing there in silence and watched what Ivory was doing. Ivory didn't mind that and just kept working, humming a little. For a little while those two men didn't speak any words. But then, suddenly a random thought came to Ivory's mind and he just had to say it aloud. He put his brush down, looked at Sin and spoke: “We should go on a date.” The taller man raised his eyebrow questioningly. “On a date?” “Yeah”, Ivory said as he started to put away his equipment. “It's a pleasant day outside and plus, I know a nice coffee shop. You like coffee, right?” “Yes”, Sin answered. “Then we should go”, Ivory stated, smiling lovingly at the other man. Sin looked like that he was lost in a thought for a second. “Fine”, he finally consented. Ivory finished cleaning up and then the two men were almost ready to go. Though, Ivory changed some clothes so he would look better in public. Sin also went on a bit casual look and left his coat and fedora hat at Ivory's place. Just like Ivory had mentioned, it really was beautiful day outside. Sun was shining and it was nicely warm weather. The men walked through the surprisingly busy streets of Olden Shadow Town, side by side. Ivory would have wanted to walk hand in hand with his lover, but knew that Sin wouldn't really like that. But he was happy, nonetheless, and enjoyed spending time with Sin, even if it just was something small like striding through the town. Eventually they reached their destination. It was small coffee shop at a corner of some street. The two men entered the building and a bell chimed as they did so. A delicious scent of good coffee welcomed their noses and the chattering of customers filled the air. There was quite a lot of people spending their time in this place, but there were still few unreserved tables waiting for someone to occupy them. After Ivory and Sin had ordered their drinks, they sat down around a table that was placed next to a window. After taking a sip from his coffee, Ivory inquired: “Isn't it good?” “It is”, Sin replied as soon as he had tasted his drink. Ivory was happy to hear this. “Then we can come here again”, he stated. One thing that could bring great joy in life was trying out things together with your significant other. Making new experiences with them and figuring out what would be worth of doing again would help to strengthen their bond. That's why Ivory was so happy that he had found something Sin enjoyed as well. This pleasant moment in the coffee shop was just the first one of the many that the future would bring. For a little while they didn't speak anything. Through a window, Sin was following with his gaze those who passed by. Ivory couldn't help but stare at him. Sin was such a handsome man with his sharp facial features. In Ivory's eyes, he was like a masterpiece. Ivory felt so grateful and blessed that this gorgeous man had allowed him in his life. Sin belonged to him. And only him. The taller man caught Ivory looking at him and asked: “What are you staring at?” “Why I wouldn't stare at someone so magnificent?” Ivory answered, smiling lovingly. Sin just ignored this little remark and focused on drinking his coffee. Minutes passed by as the men leisurely enjoyed their drinks. Eventually both of them were done and prepared to make their leave. “You know, we're not in any hurry. I'd like to have a walk around the park”, Ivory said as he got up. “If you insist”, Sin replied. Ivory had once again a smile on his face. He knew Sin was quite a reserved person so he didn't show his affection that easily. But in Ivory's opinion, it was kind of cute how he expressed his fondness through small agreements like this one. Both men walked through the coffee shop that was increasingly becoming more crowded and exited the building. Then they started to head to the park. While walking, Ivory had to resist the urge to snatch Sin's hand. But who knows, maybe someday in the future they could show to the world their affection through small gentle gestures. It was just a matter of time. Finally, they arrived at the park. It wasn't that large, but it was nice and had certain charm to it. In the middle of a town, it was a beautiful remain of nature. Even though the streets of Olden Shadow Town had been quite busy, the park was a lot more silent. As the men walked through it, they didn't encounter that many people, and those few were mainly jogglers. No one paid attention to anyone and were completely occupied by their own things. Soon the men came near lake and stopped their going. They watched the calm surface of water in silence. Though, after a little while, the peace was broken by some ducks. But at least Ivory found this pretty enjoyable and relaxing to gaze at. Out of his pocket, Sin snatched a cigarette from a carton, then lit it with a lighter and started smoking. Ivory had wondered once why Sin, someone who can use magic, would use a lighter when he could make a flame with a snap of his fingers. “It's best to save every drop of your magic for a moment when you really need it, and not use it in mundane things you can do well without it”, Sin had answered. That explanation made Ivory understand the reason, as he himself wasn't able to use magic. So, there they stood, side by side, watching the ducks – or that was what Ivory was doing, as Sin seemed to be looking somewhere beyond. That was when Ivory got sudden desire to do something. He grasped with his both hands Sin's arm and embraced it. And for his surprise, Sin wasn't against this. He just let Ivory do whatever he wanted. The smaller man happily squeezed the taller man's arm. This had truly been a perfect day for Ivory. Going out and spending time with his beloved one… it had given him bliss. And he was sure that the day would turn even better. Sure, he liked to go out and do things, but staying home and having some chill time was also good. So once they would be done with the park, they would go back to Ivory's place. But until then, they would enjoy every bit of this moment.
