They had promised to meet each other at the park, near the lake, when the night would fall. Ivory had been waiting for that moment the whole day. Now that he had finally made a connection with Sin, being separated from this man felt like someone was tearing his heart. He yearned for his presence so, so much. It had been really hard to get close to that man, but Ivory felt like that he had been able to touch Sin's heart of stone. There was still some working to do, however, for example: Sin still had not told him where he lived. But Ivory was in no rush. He was willing to give Sin all the time in the world. Some people would probably suspect that Sin was just toying with Ivory's feelings and he wasn't going to see him. But Ivory had no such fear. Sin probably wasn't a good man, but one thing was for sure: he would always keep his word. It was yet another quiet evening in Olden Shadow Town. Ivory was wandering through a park, excited to meet his love of life once again. The sky was dim and streetlights were already shedding some light, giving a shining to his blond hair. He was pretty much strolling alone, though, he encountered two drunkards who tried clumsily flirt with him – probably mistaking him for a woman because of his long hair. Ivory didn't really pay any attention to them and just continued on his walk. Then Ivory saw him: a tall man in a distinguishable green coat and fedora hat. He had his back to him, so he hadn't yet noticed Ivory. Ivory stopped for a moment, his heart fluttering like a little bird just from seeing this man. He got overwhelmed with joy for he was just so incredibly happy to see him again. Ivory began to walk toward him. When he got closer to him, Sin turned around, possibly because he heard Ivory's steps behind him. He was smoking a cigarette and had a pretty expressionless face. Then he turned his back again to Ivory. He wasn't looking happy to see Ivory, but that's just the way he was. But then again, he didn't seem to be annoyed or angry, either. That was a small victory for Ivory. So, he walked next to Sin, smiling happily. “I'm so happy to see you came here”, Ivory said, staring lovingly at Sin. Sin just grunted. He still hadn't made an eye contact with the other man. He just watched at the lake that was glimmering in the lights of the town. Ivory didn't really mind that. He went silent and stared at the water together with Sin. He was overwhelmed with glee. After a little while, Ivory tried to take a grasp of Sin's hand, but Sin didn't play along and swung his hand away. However, Ivory wasn't defeated yet. So he made another attempt. The same thing happened. And another one. Few attempts later Sin became visibly irritated and growled: “Stop that already!” “But I want to hold your hand”, Ivory said, looking directly at Sin's eyes. “No”, Sin replied. “Please?” “No.” Ivory knew that Sin wasn't really into public endearments, not at this stage of their relationship. But he wanted to try getting him out of his shell. “Pretty please?” Ivory asked with puppy dog eyes. A moment of silence fell upon them. They stared at each other, Sin having pretty annoyed look on his face. But then Sin sighed in a rather upset tone and turned to look at the lake again. “Fine”, he muttered. Ivory was nearly jumping from joy. “I love you!” he almost yelled. Ivory snatched Sin's hand and looked happily at his face. However, Sin was avoiding his stare and just glared at the water. That was fine with Ivory, though. This was a small accomplishment. Ivory felt like that he was a step closer to winning Sin's heart. So there they stood, hand in hand as the day came to an end. It wasn't the most romantic situation that could be, since some late traffic made unpleasant noise and the smoke from Sin's cigarette pestered Ivory's nose. But this was good enough for Ivory. Being together like this with the man he loved… It truly was a moment of bliss. And Ivory hoped that this wasn't going to be the only time – he wished that there would be lots of moments like this in the future… A future that he wanted to share with Sin. Now that Sin had allowed him to enter his life, Ivory wanted to stay in it, forever. Sin dropped the cigarette he had been smoking and stomped on it, extinguishing it. Then he turned his head to look at Ivory and spoke: “Should we go?” “Yeah”, Ivory replied, nodding in agreement. Both of them turned and began their walk through the park. They didn't need more words; it was obvious that they were heading to Ivory's place. For a little while they strolled hand in hand, but then Sin decided to free his hand. Ivory accepted this – he had had his moment. He couldn't really ask for more from Sin. After all, he had trouble showing affection. But Ivory knew that deep inside, Sin cared about him. Why else would he spend time with him? Someone like him wouldn't do that without a reason. A whole night with Sin awaited Ivory and he couldn't possibly be happier. He just wished that they would have hold hands the entire trip.
