Whoever finds these parchments, know that you will be blessed with the truth of Inather, the castle in the sky. For millennials it has been nothing but a legend – until now. And you, my friend, will gain knowledge about events that happened in secrecy but what led to changing of the world itself. Who am I? During the first part of my existence I was called Sulelma. That is the name a man and a woman gave to me – those same people who gifted me with life. But they also cursed me with loveless childhood. I still don't know had they ever wanted me. They never got another offspring. Perhaps that was for the best since they could not give any love, only hate. Why they didn't get rid of me when I was at my most helpless stage of my life is something I probably will never get the answer for. But maybe, they hated me so much ever since their eyes gazed upon me for the first time that they wanted to see me suffer. They wanted to have someone they could use as a scapegoat. I didn't ask to be born, but they still hated me as if I was responsible for that. Such wretches these two people were. I pity them. They were a hunter and a seamstress and rather poor. Life wasn't easy for them and then they got me: another mouth to feed. I was a burden to them. Making me starve was only one of the things I had to endure in that household. The man who was supposed to be my father always glared at me with hatred in his eyes. I had to try my best to not irritate him or else I would feel his belt on my skin. And that woman, my mother, she would always laugh when the man was giving me a beating. Usually she wasn't violent towards me, but she did let me know how she loathed me. I had to stay out of her sight as much as possible, otherwise she would yell at me and tell how disgusting I was and how she wished that I shouldn't had got born. But still, that was my home. Obviously, however, I did spend a lot of time outside, away from those abusive people. Maybe I should have just ran away altogether. My hometown was a nice place actually and I enjoyed taking strolls around it. I memorized every little street and corner, knew the layout of the town perfectly. This became handy when I developed a habit of stealing food and money so I could live to see yet another day. I became rather outstanding in these shady deeds. Never got caught and never uttered a word about it to anyone – until now. Those were my younger days. You may probably feel sympathy towards me, but know this: these hardships never broke my spirit. Sleeping deep within me, there was an entity destined for greatness. Of course, I wasn't aware of its existence during my younger years. But it did shield me for all the hatred mother and father targeted at me. Someone with a weaker mind would have probably perished beneath all that suffering. But not me. I never became bitter nor hated my parents. I'm above of such emotions. And, after all, they were the fortunate ones, giving a life to someone so remarkable like me. I see their neglect mostly as a trial which I triumphed. When I reached adulthood, I got recruited into an army, like many other young men. A strange warmonger race had suddenly emerged from the southern lands, calling themselves Voraks. They seemed human-like in many ways, but they also had some animalistic features as well. We were sent to fight in a war against these abominations… Yes, it's the very same war which is raging even to this day. It turned out that I was quite skilled in using blades and stealing lives of these crossbreeds. During these heated battles my mind was veiled by bloodlust and I swung my sword in a deadly flurry. I became a savage, just like my enemy, but unlike them, I was doing a favor for this world. However, no matter how many heads I decapitated and how many hearts I pierced, it wasn't enough. Enemy troops just kept coming. And so it occurred on this one night, my company got ambushed in the dark. There was too many of them and too few of us and we were easily outnumbered. We fought bravely, but even my skills didn't save us. Alas, we got slaughtered, ultimately defeated. That was where the stories of my comrades ended. But mine was only beginning. For me to become the supreme being I was destined to be, I had to leave behind my mortal flesh. Perhaps it was a cruel joke by faith that I had to be born through a mere human so I could come into existence. But my soul had always belonged to something far more extraordinary. And so, my spirit transcended from my previous body and materialized into this enhanced, more fitting one. I am finally someone I was always meant to be. Experiencing death was inevitable event that had to happen for me to reach my full potential. Now, I only needed a dwelling place suitable for my reborn self. It didn't take long for me to set my eyes on Inather. The idea, however, didn't come from me. To me, this legendary castle in the sky was just an old tale and thus, unreachable. But soon after my death, I started to hear whispers. They spoke with tongues long forgotten and to my disappointment, I couldn't understand them. I believe that they were speaking the language of gods – and maybe they even were these mighty deities itself. But it was this one name I could clearly distinguish from their whispers: it was Inather. Shortly, I began to see visions of a grand castle in the sky. It took me a little while to understand what all of these things meant. What I had heard about it, Inather was a castle gifted by gods to a winged king and his kin. But in a convulsion of jealousy it was raided by flying demons, killing everyone living there or making them leave the place for eternity. After this, the castle was abandoned. And since mortals lack the ability to fly, the knowledge of its existence faded and it became a myth. I realized that I was supposed to resurrect Inather, to bring it back and let the world know its name once more. So I spread my mighty wings and flew to the sky. Heaven was about to become my home. Seven days and seven nights I soared the skies without rest, my determination guiding me. And finally, my efforts were rewarded. A castle built from dark blue material was hovering in the clouds. It looked rather ominous; I had imagined it being bright with grandeur, so this wasn't what I had expected. Perhaps it had got tainted when the demons attacked, the malice of those beings soaking the very stone. However, I wasn't bothered by this. It was more fitting for me this way. And so, I started to get acquainted with my new home. Echoes from the past were haunting the castle. But other than that, I had no companions. I was a lonely king. But what kind of king is the one with no subordinates? So I descended from the skies and wandered around the earth for followers. Though, that wasn't an easy task to do, because I wouldn't invite just anyone to my heavenly kingdom. Eventually I came to conclusion that heroes of the past were the ones I needed. I visited many corners of the world: ancient battlefields where the blood had once dyed the ground red, hidden catacombs where the most excellent of warriors were laid to rest and graveyards where souls of the dead would cause anxiety among the living with their ghastly dancing in the night. I gathered many of these deceased fighters, bringing them back from the dead, and granted them with an ability to fly. Then we soared to Inather, together, and established our kingdom. But alas, my search also attracted some unwanted attention. There are many power-hungry and greedy parties in the world. People have started to lay their eyes upon my dear Inather, seeing it as some kind of trophy. With haste, they are trying to find ways to get to the skies and take over the castle. But I won't allow that to happen. They shall not ruin my heaven. I am the king of skies, not you wretched mortals. The heaven has started to look dark because of my wrath, but it's all because of you. I wish for peace. But I know I have to fight to keep the order in this world. Mortals are raising their swords, pointed at me, even though they are still having a war with Voraks. Know this: I shall destroy anyone who opposes me, and anyone who wants to take over my heavenly kingdom. We are here. And we are waiting for your move. Whoever has read these words of mine, now you know the story of how matters came to be. Spread the word, let everyone know that I'm not the villain. I'm the king who will help this world to turn to new era. And I hope sincerely that we shall become allies.
