Lamatye trembled while lurking behind the shadows of some bushes. She knew that such cover was pointless, yet her natural instincts of lioness demanded search for protection.
Weird… because she longed for that moment since when her own mother made her “the talk”. Plenty of lionesses would take the following months with trepidation and desire to build a new life.
But Lamatye was not a normal lioness, and her destiny was far more great, far more magnificent and far more terrible.
A scorching warmth bathed her muzzle; she closed her own glowing eyes: the inner fire of her demonic soul trembled while facing the one she was chasing.
Kuzimu: the fearsome demon who ruled their land. The beast of many forms and many powers.
Her own father.
“I know you are here… little one. The weak daughter of Batibath right? Born demoness, but what a disappointment…”
Lamatye shivered while perceiving the dark presence of he father all around her. At some point she realized the demon materialized right before her, she turned slowly her head while standing in almost crouched submissive position.

The demon looked upon his daughter and smirked.
“Yet… I perceive you have come to me obediently. As instructed by your mother. Your time has come to join adulthood and to fulfill your role. A role of utmost importance in the War that has to come.”
Lamatye lowered her glance and resisted the examination of her own father. She knew of being somewhat a disappointment.
Her own demonic fire was mediocre at best, and she did not possess the skills of her two siblings: her sister Nyoka spent most of her time in the form of a huge snake, while their brother Roho was a multi-eyed powerful shadow, already amassing kills of their angelic Nepheline nemesis.
She alone lacked out-of ordinary powers, despite being the fruit of an incestuous mating: her own mother was half-sister of Kuzimu, and what was going to happens was meant to further strength the bloodline.

He laughed and roared, when his body convulsed and pumped loads of his boiling demonic seed into the receptive womb of the young daughter.

Until…. she felt the presence retreating, almost entirely flowing away.
