", "writing": "Kody felt by now that after this baby… she was done. The past few weeks had been rough. She had been warned of course by her doctor that this would be more difficult for her due to her age. But still, nothing could have really prepared her for this\nLuckily as she got into her second trimester, she was finally getting sort of used to things. She didn’t think she EVER would totally get used to it, but it was at least much more bearable than it was during her first few months. Granted, now there were more pressing problems.\nThe cougar wasn’t the vainest of girls. Her main criteria for clothes were comfort over all else. Hygiene was basic as well. Enough showers through the week to make sure her fur remained healthy looking. Short fur had its advantages after all. But as this pregnancy moved along her belly of course, slowly grew more and more. THAT was a problem…\nFor one, her comfort criteria for clothing became… difficult. Finding loose enough clothes that didn’t hug her belly was becoming a challenge. If she could find ANY maternity clothes that fit someone her age that is. Next however was possibly worse, the looks.\nThere was no denying her age. She MIGHT be able to pull off the look of a VERY petite young woman if you stretched your imagination. But with her mother around her for comparison, it was very quickly very apparent that that was not the case. \nOut in public when she went with her mom to the grocery store to keep her active during her pregnancy was pretty embarrassing. The looks of surprise and even down right HOSTILITY in some cases were pretty hard to ignore for her. Paying at the registers was worse though, the question about her pregnancy was often brought up. Or worse the cashier would unable to not stare/glance at the very obviously pregnant young feline.\nThis however PALED in comparison to school… If adults could hardly stop themselves from being rude, then her own peers had ZERO control. Her teachers acted strangely around her and the student body couldn’t help but speculate. As her belly grew so too did the number of students who knew about her. \nStudents had started going out of their way to look for her during classes causing massive crowds between classes. Girls would call her a slut; guys would make offers then act passive aggressive when she shut them down. Other students where just genuinely curious and wanted to see if she really WAS pregnant. Or ask her if the rumors about her getting with a teacher was true.\nIt was getting so bad that her schedule at school had to be modified. She would be allowed to leave classes early and get her next class late to avoid the inevitable clog of students where she was. Pepper too, was allowed to leave so she could help her with her things. \nThe school was starting to get more and more frustrated about all these extra steps. Not to mention the apparent media attention… The rumor she got from Pepper is that a students parents worked for the local new and found out about her. When they hear there was a pregnant teen, they started calling the school asking for permission to run a story on her AT school!\nKody and her mom however never got a phone call so she wasn’t sure if there was any real veracity to the rumor. As long as it never happened though she didn’t care if it was or not. Something WAS happening behind the scenes though, and when her mother had to take a day off of work to visit the school, she knew something bad was about to happen.\nOne Friday Kody found herself sitting in the school office next to her mother waiting for the principal to call on them. Upon arrival, the Vice Principal, Assistant Principal, Security and even the school counselor had all made their way into his office. Judging from the look on her mother’s face, she could tell that this was a pretty serious situation.\nAfter a little while the door opens and the VP asks for her mother to come in. Kody stood up too but was told she wasn’t required to come in. Feeling a little nettled she sat down as her mother walked into the room. Noticing that the door was not completely closed though, she changes seat so she can sit right by the door. Leaning to the side she strains to hear the conversation inside.\n“So. Why what did ALL of you want to discuss with me?” She hears her mother ask, obviously hostile and defensive.\n“Mrs. Roe… We wanted to discuss with you some certain issues pertaining to your daughter.” She hears the voice of the principal say with trepidation.\n“Is she causing a commotion? Not studying? Causing outbreaks in class?” Her mother asks in her same strained voice.\n“Well… not DIRECTLY at least.” Says a new voice. The Security officer she thinks.\n“What do you mean, “Not Directly”?” Her mother asks dangerously.\n“Miss Roe. PLEASE be reasonable!” The principal asks, not missing the danger dripping from her mother’s tone. \n“Alright! Thank you, Mr. Stone. I think the Principal and I can handle this. And Mrs. White. You can go back to your office too. We will page you if we need help.” Comes the sudden calm, but firm voice of the Vice Principal.\nKody snaps back up as she hears the two move around inside. The door opens as two very relieved staff members leave the room. Neither so much as glance at her as they go about their business. Once out of sigh she leans in to listen in again.\n“Would someone PLEASE speak plainly to me about what this meeting is about instead of beating around the bush!” Her mother asks irritably.\n“Mrs. Roe, your daughter needs extra care. Care that we just CANNOT provide for.” Says the soft, but firm voice of the Vice Principal. “We are just not set up to give adequate attention to a student that is pregnant.”\n“As you know, we had to change up when she was released from classes to avoid problems with other students. Change when she has to eat. Etc.” Comes the gruff voice of the Principal.\n“What he MEANS to say is that; We just have too many other students to pay attention to that we cannot afford to spend so much of it on her alone. We understand she is in a difficult position. But we have to consider what is best for our students as well as for your daughter.” The Vice Principal comes in to smooth over her counterparts’ words.\n“You have allowed her to stay up until now. Why can’t you keep doing this until the end of the school year?” Her mother asks after a moment.\n“We have, yes. But it has been a strain on our resources.” The VP replies, not in an unsympathetic tone, but still firm. \n“We also worry about the start of next year. She will be very far along by then and my go into labor IN a class room. Our teachers are understandably not given the resources to deal with such an emergency. Plus, it would be a huge distraction to the rest of the students. So we think it might be best for her to step away from her academic career until she has given birth.\n“And, what am I to do during this time?” Her mother asks. “I am a single mother. I can’t take that much of time off of work. I cannot give her over to family, she has none. Or even friends as it would be unfair to them since they would be in the same boat as me.”\n“I understand that she is seeing a psychologist?” The Vice Principal asks.\n“Yes?” her mother says suspiciously.\n“They might be able to assist in finding a solution. We understand that having her removed at this point in school will have a bad impact on her scores. So, you could hire a tutor for her or have her home schooled. This way she can finishes her studies. Then we could set up a time for her to take her end of the year exams during an off time.” The Vice Principal points out.\nIt was here that the school counselor had come back from her office and found Kody clearly eves dropping. Telling her off for listening in she entered the room and shut the door. Miffed as she was about being told she couldn’t listen in on them talk about HER future she settled into her chair to wait.\nLuckily the wait wasn’t for too much longer and she soon found herself home with a very stressed looking mother. Once home her mother asked her to go to her room as she had to make some phone calls. Yet again she was annoyed that she was not allowed to listen in on HER future but she did as she was told anyways.\nClosing the door, she boots up her laptop and lays with in on her bed. She was finding it harder and harder to lay on her belly these days. The doctors had told her NOT to the last visit but she had found recently that it was all but impossible to do so anyways. \nOnce logged in she starts a video call to Pepper, she didn’t feel like typing, just wanted to lay there, talk and see her bestie. Pepper had asked about the meeting and she wanted to give her the bad news.\n“Oh, hey Kody!” The silver furred snow leopard chirps as soon as she answers.\n“Hey Pep. You wanted to know what went down, right?”\n“OH! Yeah, I did! What happened?” \n“Well, it was a meeting with the Principal, Vice Principal, student counselor and the security guard.” Kody replies, ticking each of the furs of with her fingers.\n“Whoa… why so many staff members?” the snow leopard asks incredulously.\n“I think it was in case mom blew up or something.” Kody replies, thinking back on it.\n“Why… what did they want? Luckily as she got into her second trimester, she was finally getting sort of used to things.  She didn’t think she EVER would totally get used to it, but it was at least much more bearable than it was during her first few months.  Granted, now there were more pressing problems.
The cougar wasn’t the vainest of girls.  Her main criteria for clothes were comfort over all else.  Hygiene was basic as well.  Enough showers through the week to make sure her fur remained healthy looking.  Short fur had its advantages after all.  But as this pregnancy moved along her belly of course, slowly grew more and more.  THAT was a problem…
For one, her comfort criteria for clothing became… difficult.  Finding loose enough clothes that didn’t hug her belly was becoming a challenge.  If she could find ANY maternity clothes that fit someone her age that is.  Next however was possibly worse, the looks.
There was no denying her age.  She MIGHT be able to pull off the look of a VERY petite young woman if you stretched your imagination.  But with her mother around her for comparison, it was very quickly very apparent that that was not the case.  
Out in public when she went with her mom to the grocery store to keep her active during her pregnancy was pretty embarrassing.  The looks of surprise and even down right HOSTILITY in some cases were pretty hard to ignore for her.  Paying at the registers was worse though, the question about her pregnancy was often brought up.  Or worse the cashier would unable to not stare/glance at the very obviously pregnant young feline.
This however PALED in comparison to school…  If adults could hardly stop themselves from being rude, then her own peers had ZERO control.  Her teachers acted strangely around her and the student body couldn’t help but speculate.  As her belly grew so too did the number of students who knew about her.  
Students had started going out of their way to look for her during classes causing massive crowds between classes.  Girls would call her a slut; guys would make offers then act passive aggressive when she shut them down.  Other students where just genuinely curious and wanted to see if she really WAS pregnant.  Or ask her if the rumors about her getting with a teacher was true.
It was getting so bad that her schedule at school had to be modified.  She would be allowed to leave classes early and get her next class late to avoid the inevitable clog of students where she was.  Pepper too, was allowed to leave so she could help her with her things.
The school was starting to get more and more frustrated about all these extra steps.  Not to mention the apparent media attention…  The rumor she got from Pepper is that a students parents worked for the local new and found out about her.  When they hear there was a pregnant teen, they started calling the school asking for permission to run a story on her AT school!
Kody and her mom however never got a phone call so she wasn’t sure if there was any real veracity to the rumor.  As long as it never happened though she didn’t care if it was or not.  Something WAS happening behind the scenes though, and when her mother had to take a day off of work to visit the school, she knew something bad was about to happen.
One Friday Kody found herself sitting in the school office next to her mother waiting for the principal to call on them.  Upon arrival, the Vice Principal, Assistant Principal, Security and even the school counselor had all made their way into his office.  Judging from the look on her mother’s face, she could tell that this was a pretty serious situation.
After a little while the door opens and the VP asks for her mother to come in.  Kody stood up too but was told she wasn’t required to come in.  Feeling a little nettled she sat down as her mother walked into the room.  Noticing that the door was not completely closed though, she changes seat so she can sit right by the door.  Leaning to the side she strains to hear the conversation inside.
“So.  Why what did ALL of you want to discuss with me?”  She hears her mother ask, obviously hostile and defensive.
“Mrs. Roe…  We wanted to discuss with you some certain issues pertaining to your daughter.”  She hears the voice of the principal say with trepidation.
“Is she causing a commotion?  Not studying?  Causing outbreaks in class?”  Her mother asks in her same strained voice.
“Well… not DIRECTLY at least.”  Says a new voice.  The Security officer she thinks.
“What do you mean, “Not Directly”?”  Her mother asks dangerously.
“Miss Roe.  PLEASE be reasonable!”  The principal asks, not missing the danger dripping from her mother’s tone.  
“Alright!  Thank you, Mr. Stone.  I think the Principal and I can handle this.  And Mrs. White.  You can go back to your office too.  We will page you if we need help.”  Comes the sudden calm, but firm voice of the Vice Principal.
Kody snaps back up as she hears the two move around inside.  The door opens as two very relieved staff members leave the room.  Neither so much as glance at her as they go about their business.  Once out of sigh she leans in to listen in again.
“Would someone PLEASE speak plainly to me about what this meeting is about instead of beating around the bush!”  Her mother asks irritably.
“Mrs. Roe, your daughter needs extra care.  Care that we just CANNOT provide for.”  Says the soft, but firm voice of the Vice Principal.  “We are just not set up to give adequate attention to a student that is pregnant.”
“As you know, we had to change up when she was released from classes to avoid problems with other students.  Change when she has to eat.  Etc.”  Comes the gruff voice of the Principal.
“What he MEANS to say is that; We just have too many other students to pay attention to that we cannot afford to spend so much of it on her alone.  We understand she is in a difficult position.  But we have to consider what is best for our students as well as for your daughter.”  The Vice Principal comes in to smooth over her counterparts’ words.
“You have allowed her to stay up until now.  Why can’t you keep doing this until the end of the school year?”  Her mother asks after a moment.
“We have, yes.  But it has been a strain on our resources.” The VP replies, not in an unsympathetic tone, but still firm.  
“We also worry about the start of next year.  She will be very far along by then and my go into labor IN a class room.  Our teachers are understandably not given the resources to deal with such an emergency.  Plus, it would be a huge distraction to the rest of the students.  So we think it might be best for her to step away from her academic career until she has given birth.
“And, what am I to do during this time?”  Her mother asks.  “I am a single mother.  I can’t take that much of time off of work.  I cannot give her over to family, she has none.  Or even friends as it would be unfair to them since they would be in the same boat as me.”
“I understand that she is seeing a psychologist?”  The Vice Principal asks.
“Yes?” her mother says suspiciously.
“They might be able to assist in finding a solution.  We understand that having her removed at this point in school will have a bad impact on her scores.  So, you could hire a tutor for her or have her home schooled.  This way she can finishes her studies.  Then we could set up a time for her to take her end of the year exams during an off time.”  The Vice Principal points out.
It was here that the school counselor had come back from her office and found Kody clearly eves dropping.  Telling her off for listening in she entered the room and shut the door.  Miffed as she was about being told she couldn’t listen in on them talk about HER future she settled into her chair to wait.
Luckily the wait wasn’t for too much longer and she soon found herself home with a very stressed looking mother.  Once home her mother asked her to go to her room as she had to make some phone calls.  Yet again she was annoyed that she was not allowed to listen in on HER future but she did as she was told anyways.
Closing the door, she boots up her laptop and lays with in on her bed.  She was finding it harder and harder to lay on her belly these days.  The doctors had told her NOT to the last visit but she had found recently that it was all but impossible to do so anyways.
Once logged in she starts a video call to Pepper, she didn’t feel like typing, just wanted to lay there, talk and see her bestie.  Pepper had asked about the meeting and she wanted to give her the bad news.
“Oh, hey Kody!”  The silver furred snow leopard chirps as soon as she answers.
“Hey Pep.  You wanted to know what went down, right?”
“OH!  Yeah, I did!  What happened?”
“Well, it was a meeting with the Principal, Vice Principal, student counselor and the security guard.”  Kody replies, ticking each of the furs of with her fingers.
“Whoa… why so many staff members?”  the snow leopard asks incredulously.
“I think it was in case mom blew up or something.”  Kody replies, thinking back on it.
“Why… what did they want?  Where you in the room?”
“No… I guess the “ADULTS” felt like I shouldn’t be present when they discuss MY future.”  Kody says bitterly.
“So, you didn’t hear anything?”  Pepper asks worriedly.
“No.  The door was left open so I was able to listen in.  Guess they think I’m a burden they don’t want to deal with anymore.”  She says heavily.
“WHAT!?  THEY’RE KICKING YOU OUT!?”  Pepper cries out in shock.
“Basically.  Yeah.  They told my mother that I could either make it up during the summer or redo the grade.  The other option they gave her is for me to be home schooled.”  Kody recounts what she had heard.

“Well, they gave her a packet with some information about it.  They also made it sound like there were plenty of home schools in the area.  So… I guess its possible.  But if a school doesn’t want me around when I’m pregnant…”  She trails off there.  The longer she had the baby, the more of a pain and inconvenience she felt like she was.
“Yeah… that does seem like it might be some trouble…  Well, my mom could watch you or something.”  Pepper says, thinking aloud.  
“No.  Your mom has her own job.  My mother would never ask or accept that.”  Kody replies wearily.
“…are you ok, Kody?”  Pepper asks softly.
Kody hadn’t noticed before but her eyes were stinging.  She could feel dampness around her eyes, so she quickly rubbed them away.  She took a deep breath before responding.
“Yes.  I’m fine.  Just… worried about my mother is all.”  She lies.
“Kody… I wish you wouldn’t lie to me.”  Pepper replies.
“I’m NOT.”  Kody replies forcefully.  “I’m just… feeling like a huge hassle for my mother is all.”
“Kody… we ALL knew this was going to be a difficult time.  Your mother better than anyone else.  Don’t let this get you down please.  Were kids.  Were SUPPOSED to be a burden.”  Pepper jokes.
“Some more than others.”  Kody mutters.
“You are not any more a burden than any other furs.  Trust me.  So… It sounds like after our vacation we won’t be able to see each other at school.  Maybe I could ask to get home schooled too.”  Pepper muses.
“No.  You don’t have to do that.  We can still see each other on the weekends or after school.”  Kody says rolling her eyes.
“Well.  It was just an idea.”  Pepper replies, sounding a bit hurt.
“Its ok Pep.  It will suck, but its not like we will NEVER see each other now.  Kody points out kindly.
“Yeah, that’s true.  Well, I got to go for now.  Keep me updated please.”  
“Yeah.  Will do.”  
Both girls said their goodbyes and logged out.  Setting her pc aside Kody laid back and attempted to decompress and collect her thoughts.  It had been a long month.  With what felt like one problem after another.
Her mother had been pressing hard for an abortion from the start.  She didn’t want Kody to have to deal with a pregnancy so early on in her life.  She had told both her and the doctors it would difficult, from schooling to just her young age.
Kody was very afraid that she would win this fight and she nearly did.  In the end though it was the doctors that were (sort of) on her side.  Her doctor in the end decided that ending the pregnancy early might have more heath risks then allowing her to carry the cub to full term.  
It was a small victory, but her happiness was short lived with they began talking about adoption options.  She had began protesting but was shut down.  The doctor was very apologetic but told her that due to her age it was her guardian’s decision that was final.  Now the very thing her mother had been worried about had happened.
She woke up a few hours later feeling a little hungry.  Rolling out of bed with a groan she stands up and goes to see if dinner was ready or if she would need to make herself something.  The house was small enough that once she opened the door, she could smell dinner coming from the kitchen.  
Peaking into the kitchen she could tell her mother was looking like she was in a better mood than when she had left her.  Without looking up she asks Kody to set the table.  Dinner was about ready.
Once set her mother came out with their food and they began eating.  Kody looked up from her meal every so often to look at her mother.  Waiting to hear what the plan was going forward.  It wasn’t until dinner was over before Kody finally decided to ask.
“So, mom… was anything decided?”  She asks.
“Oh, sorry Dakota.  Well, I called up Alex to see if she had any good leads.  The pamphlet from your school’s counselor was worthless.”  Her mother says in annoyance.  “Just tips of what do look for, no leads or numbers for locals.  Turns out there is a pretty robust network of teachers for home schools in the area.”
“So… you found someone already?”  Kody asks.
“I sure did.  AND I think you’ll actually be excited about who it is too!”  Her mother says cheerfully.
“…not Alex I hope.”  Kody says with worry.
“No not Alex!”  Her mother rolls her eyes.  “Although I DID ask her.  It’s the Puma family!  You know, Sierra?  Turns out her dad is accredited.  I called him before I started dinner and he said he’d be happy to take you on along with his daughter!”
Kody nearly chocks on her food when she hears this.  Her mother gives her a look of concern but she manages to clear her throat.  
“You really need to eat slower.”  Her mother says with a frown.
“S-sorry mom.  S-so Sierra’s dad will be my teacher then?”  She asks, her heart thudding.
“Yes…  Is than an issue?”  her mother asks, raising an eyebrow.
“N-no!  I just didn’t realize he taught her.”  Kody replies quickly, trying to justify her shock.
“Neither did I.  But I had been wondering why she wasn’t in your classes.  Always assumed she just went some place else.  Anyways, he has good credential according to Alex.”  Her mother continued, not paying any more mind to her surprise.
“So… when will this start?”  Kody asks, wondering how long she had to wrap her head how dealing with him so often.
“Not until after your vacation, so you don’t have to worry about that.”  Her mother replies with a chuckle, misreading why she was worried.
“O-oh.  That’s good.”  She replies, with a little smile.
Kody was pretty shaken up by the news that the fur that had impregnated her would now be her teacher.  It was so ironic that if she hadn’t been so conflicted about seeing him every day like this she would have laughed.  Even without Sierra being around all day, this was going to be really awkward.  At least she had a few weeks to figure out what to do.
The following week Kody would spend the entire time over at Peppers.  Her mother had taken time off and brought along both girls to a nearby spa resort while her father brought Kyle, her brother to go camping.  Originally, they were all going camping.  But with Kody being pregnant, it was decided to split it into an all guys and girl’s week instead.  
Kody felt really embarrassed with Pepper told her this.  Pepper however brushed it off and told her she was VERY thankful for the excuse to NOT go camping.  She didn’t say it, but she had been looking forward to it herself.  A spa week didn’t seem all that great to be honest, she’d rather rough it out.
Still, as the final day approached, she had to admit that it had been a VERY pleasurable time.  The resort had a lot of attractions that were friendly too and meant for pregnant women.  Granted, she was EASILY the youngest fur going to them, she still enjoyed the messages and training sessions they gave.
She and Pepper both attended one that gave healthy eating tips as well as a crash course on delivering your cubs.  She was fascinated that there were so many “natural” birthing options out there and wondered if she would be able to utilize any of them.  
Secretly she suspected and worried that she would need surgery to deliver hers.  But that didn’t stop her from discussing it all with Pepper that night as they relaxed in one of the many heated pools.  She had wanted to use a Jacuzzi, but Pepper would hear none of it.  The staff had told her that she could use them, but be careful about overheating.  So, to Pep this meant they were off limits.
As they relaxed in the water her mind turned back to the fact she would be being taught by Theo.  The father of her cub.  She felt she knew how Pepper would react to this news.  But needed to discuss it with someone.

“Well perfect then I guess.  I’ll miss having you in classes and all, but at least now you won’t have to go to summer school or worse get held back a grade.”  Pepper points out.
“Yeah… that is true.  But… there is something else.”  Kody says, still feeling worried.
“What is it?”  Pepper asks, giving her a curious look.  
“Well… Turns out my teacher will be Theo…”  She says, in and almost apologetic voice.
“WHAT!?”  Pepper asks sharply.  
“Yeahh.  Turns out he is able to teach.  He teaches Sierra and others too apparently.”  She says, slightly worried.
“You are not going… right?  Asked to go to another home schooler?”  Pepper asks, looking annoyed and worried.
“N-no…  That would be suspicious.  Once she saw it was Sierras dad… She just figured it was the perfect fit, you know?”  She points out.
“UGH!”  Pepper groans rubbing the corners of her eyes looking annoyed, worried and miffed.
“He ISN’T a bad guy you know.”  Kody points out.
“They why are you telling me?”  Asks Pepper pointedly.
“I just… I’m not sure WHAT to do.  I DO want to see him; he is the cub’s father but… it would just be… I don’t know… awkward?” Kody say, struggling to get her feelings together.
“Do you love him?”  Pepper asks quietly.
“Love…?”
The question caught her off guard.  Was that it?  Did she love him?  Sure, he was handsome and well off.  He had treated her very well and was well meaning.  Even after all those stupid attempts by his own daughter he still held strong.  It wasn’t until she attacked him those two times that he finally caved in.
She did enjoy hanging out with him, but… was it really love?
