  "description": "A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to a small party to watch a Superb Owl. With as little interest as I have for sports, it should come as no surprise that I would be easily distracted from the event that somehow brings the entire rest of the country to a halt. And so, whilst the \"adults\" were in one room shouting at the telly, I ventured into the opposite room, wherein a friend's daughter was playing with an old fashioned wooden train kit, the likes of which I had when I was her age. I spent some time with her, both showing her how some of the pieces work whilst simultaneously reminiscing in wonder that such a thing still exists. I took a photo of her and her construction, on which this drawing is directly based.\n\nAnd then someone got hold of said photo, and for the weeks since has been pestering me to draw \"trains\". So I'm not the one to blame for this. =P\n\nIt'd been a while since I'd drawn a human, but I've been in such a mood to do so lately, so the request actually came at a good time. It is right challenging, however, to make such a stylised drawing resemble a real person, and in that regard it's not entirely perfect. She's quite funny and charming; one of the trickiest bits was capturing that expression she gave as I took the photo. That said, I am pleased with how faithful the scene is, at least. I employed a slightly different technique for lighting again; still experimenting with such options. I did it rather quickly, though, so please don't mind the inconsistencies. Also toying with proportions and body techniques, which have been particularly baffling to me lately. Human proportions are apparently far less forgiving than those of cubs. =( I hope you like it regardless!",
