He was wearing an Annaki drive tee that showed off his shoulders perfectly, the trailing undershirt only highlighting his hips and ass, more, with Krak-On squid stitch slip ons and Annaki charms sunglasses… But the most notable thing about him was how tall he was. He stood along the likes of Spike, Murch, Crusty Sean and Mr Coco, standing quite a bit taller than even full-grown inklings, but very feminine and wiry, again with the exception of those hips of his…\n\nNormally, Nagisa made more than enough money from being the famed ink-battle shoutcaster “Shizuka” online, but he often wanted to buy something, and was the type who’d rather do more work sooner than wait to save up and get it later from his normal income… so here he was, preparing to babysit a 12-year old inkling boy who insisted he didn’t want to leave Splastville while his family took a trip to Inkopolis for something his older sister was getting up to. The interview went swimmingly; Nagisa was a kindly and gentle young man, after all. It was the reason his shoutcasts in particular stood out so much from the crowd! He was soft spoken and very timid and easy to embarrass with compliments, and sometimes even a bit of a nervous wreck if he got worried about something… If it wasn’t for the fact that he also had a 12-year old little sister, he probably wouldn’t have been confident enough to try to take this job, but he figured it would be doing a lot of what he did normally, just at someone else’s house! Besides, the parent’s description of their son made it sound like the young man would be a joy to hang out with. Still too young to take on the fully humanoid form of older teenage and adult inklings, and completely mute, albeit not nonvocal. He made noises that sounded vaguely like squid-language, but were never actually words… but got across his mood well enough all the same. He usually handled actual communication with text messages, his parents having given Nagisa and him each other’s numbers before today. He knew he enjoyed video games and ink battles… much like Nagisa and any other youth of Splatsville in that regard, really… so it would probably be quite easy to get along with him. The only other thing he knew was the boy’s name… Periwinkle, after the color his ink defaults to whenever he returns it back to its base color… although he preferred to be referred to as Peri for short.\n\nRegardless, Nagisa needed to swallow his nerves and let them know he was here, which he did by sharply rapping on the door to their house a few times. He took a deep, calming breath while he waited for the answer, trying to make himself seem professional and not like the nervous wreck he was internally. He’d already met Peri’s parents when they were initially discussing the month long babysitting venture, so the meeting went fairly quickly; his older sister, around Nagisa’s own age, was going to Inkopolis to take some classes; Nagisa didn’t actually catch what they were for, and wasn’t quite certain they were even mentioned in the first place. They planned the trip earlier than needed, so the family could all take a vacation and enjoy Inkopolis for the first time, but the only issue is that Periwinkle didn’t want to go; he loved Splatsville, and had fully embraced the spirit of freedom and anarchy that the city entailed. As such, he had no desire to go to Inkopolis, which he saw as stuck up and lame in comparison… and his parents weren’t the type to try to force him to do something that would potentially make him miserable for a month… so they hired Nagisa to be a live-in babysitter for that month. Periwinkle may have been fairly mature and individualistic for his age, but he was still 12, and one couldn’t exactly leave a twelve year old all alone for an entire month… and the money wasn’t an issue. All things considered, the trip to Inkopolis probably would have cost around the same, and his family wasn’t exactly struggling to begin with… this seemed the most pleasant solution for everyone.\n\nPeriwinkle’s mother laid out the details to Nagisa while his father and sister bustled about with last minute checks and packing; She set aside enough money for food that they can simply order take out or get ready made meals for the month if Nagisa can’t cook, so long as they don’t go too expensive; if that money runs out, any extra food costs would come out of Nagisa’s pocket. Periwinkle didn’t have a bed time per-se, but she encouraged him to make sure that if Periwinkle was to be staying up late, that Nagisa would do the same to keep an eye on him. She told him that he was in his room currently, taking a nap, but that he knew that Nagisa would be here when he woke up. Lastly, she told him one extra thing, and apologized for letting it slip her mind during their initial meeting, something that made the Anemone boy a little hesitant and embarrassed, but not enough so that he’d simply turn around and walk away from this. Periwinkle hated water, due to a bad incident earlier in his life where he’d had his first splatting after falling into the water while watching a turf war live at Mahi-Mahi Resort. Ever since, he’d avoided even the slightest touch of water, even though fresh water that wasn’t being used for a turf war wouldn’t splat an Inkling... he’d developed a bit of a phobia of it. As such… even though Periwinkle was 12, Nagisa would need to make sure he was bathed personally by taking a bath together with him. So long as someone went in with him, Periwinkle was fine with bathing, but going on his own was too much for him. Nagisa agreed to this last stipulation, even though he didn’t think he’d have to bathe the kid he was watching and that was something he wasn’t really prepared for, having stopped taking baths together with his own sister nearly 6 years ago.\n\nAfter that surprise, everything was settled and worked out, the rest of Periwinkle’s family left, and Nagisa hung out and watched TV, wondering exactly what Periwinkle was going to be like when he finally woke up… he only had a vague idea of the boy’s personality, no idea what he looked like, and the knowledge that he was mute… Albeit not nonverbal. This was evidenced when Periwinkle woke up almost an hour later, coming out of his room and shuffling slowly into the living room. He yawned adorably, giving a big stretch… he looked much like other inklings that weren’t fully developed yet; a humanoid shape, but still colored much like their squid form rather than having human colored skin, with hands usually fingerless, their heads looking like their squid form’s mantle, and being considerably smaller than fully grown inklings. Peri, true to his name, was a lovely shade of periwinkle, with the usual side-tentacles of a middle-stage inkling boy, with a very cute little tentacle at the front that came down a little over one of his large, oval, curious and sleepy looking eyes… But oddly enough, when Nagisa saw him, the older Anemone boy turned a furiously bright red color, eyes wide, and he gasped a little bit, entirely involuntarily.\n\nThis was due to the rest of the young inkling… Namely the fact that Peri had an absolutely gargantuan ass and incredibly wide hips that made even Nagisa’s own prodigious endowments in the lower body department look paltry in comparison.
