"Now Hush was jealous of his older brothers creative powers.  He had created much of the life on our planet.  including us."  Kiffin fuzzled her daughters mane to which Layla giggled attention focused on the book and the elaborate pictures.  "So Hush worked hard as well to create the oceans and the mountains."  Kiffin showed and traced the pictures with her hand"They were very good. but they caused storms to swell over the planet."
"Mommy its so pretty"
"And this made Aden mad.   And he went to see his father, Adar.  see here"   Kiffin pointed to a picture of the sun. "that's where the gods live.  and why ours is called Adar"
"So... " Kiffin lowered her voice. "While he was away Hush grew so annoyed that what his brother made clashed so much with his.  So he made a plan.  And he tried over and over again to create life,  one that would rival his brothers creation."
"I like this story momma"
"Aww thank you.  You don't gotta believe it... but I think it really happened." Kiffin adjusted to bet more comfortable  "now.  All his creations were amazing, and they are now the animals that roam the land and the sea.  But none could rival his brothers creation.  Then BANG!  His browther Aden and Father Adar returned from the star.  And they looked around as and saw his creatures.
"What did think of his creations momma?"
"Well his father looked down and complemented them both for their creative powers."
"But what about his brother?"
"This made Hush mad.  He wanted to be the best.  Just not good enough.  So he told the meaner of his creations to attack."  Little Layla Gasped  "so Adar gave Adens creation, the shuna, intelligence.  So that they could fight back.  Over the years the Shunamir gained the upper hand."  Kiffin turned the page   "Finally Adar put a stop to their fighting by creating the amir"  Kiffin blushed a little "like me.  Back then you see,  the Amir could talk to the creatures ... and they were able to calm them down."
"Can you still do that momma?"  Kiffin just shook her head continuing to tell the story "you see after this Hush started to slash at all the mountains cutting off all their tops in anger!  And now Adar had had enough.  He would not see creation destroyed because of his son.   He sealed Hush in the center of the planet....   and ... hes still there today..."
"Momma what if someone found Hush?"
No ones ever been able to dig that far kitten I giggle they don't even mine asteroids that deep.  And besides theres molten lava along time before his cage.   But you see...  hes always showing us hes still there..  after he was sealed away...   Crimson started to show up all over the planet after he was sealed.   It took away the Amir's ability to talk with the creatures.  Though some really pure are said to still be able to, like the Ashunamir, our leader.  Its also why crimson only goes after us Amir and why you and ashu are immune."  Kiffin smiled hopefully  "But.   Aden and Adar before they left made a promise.   That one day the Amir would be restored to their place and that all Shunamir would again be a shining light in the heavens.   But this would only come after we had defeated Hushe's Avatar."  Kiffin looked out the window.  "Many of us believe that Hush brought the Vanduul to our doorstep ... calling them across space.  And that we will be free if we find and defeat them. "
"Momma. I am getting sleepy" Layla yawned
"me to sweetie ... we will just stay in orbit for now.  But that's our history... Yours and mine and all Shu Na and Mir.  And when its our time to go...  Adar will make us our own star...   where we can be with our loved ones."
