Servants get into the water to deliver hands-on help, closely observing, helping to keep the mir's legs apart and up to hopefully aid the only-just-barely-breeching egg. The pressure and panic causes hir to urinate into the waters of the pool. Hir head is kissed and stroked by the gentle caretakers. Hir teats have been lifted and rest upwards on hir belly to allow more visibility, should more intervention be necessary.

image 8. Just a nice close-up shot. An individual bottoms-up in the water, perhaps canoodling around for a moment or stirring about, as only just the very first peaks of the egg ducks in and out of their entrance. Their teats float on the water's surface. Two versions, for fun.
The eggs are much softer than they may look at this point. This helps mitigate the birthing pains
