Militaries, Contractors and Merx who operate in DEADLAND do so at their own risk. This is obvious. But even for the uninitiated an environment as deadly as this requires a certain amount of discipline on the part of the operatives. Rules have been established to make it safe for everyone and failure to follow them TO THE LETTER is often a long extremely painful death. Most of these rules are self evident and everyone in the field teams are well aware of; constant updates to base, never leaving your team without at least one other member going with you, maintaining what limited radio contact there is and so on. Everyone who ventures into DEADLAND for ANY reason on official business must sign,among other contracts, a release at SynnGynn with a full understanding of these rules and their purpose..NO EXCEPTIONS!!! And they must do this EVERY time the go in..even if it's just to move vehicles or check routine equipment status. Failure to do so will result in either immediate disciplinary action or a shot to the head depending on severity of incident.
However..there is rumored to be what has been referred to as "The Unspoken Rule" that supersedes all others when out in DEADLAND. No one in authority will admit to it..and it's on no recorded medium but it's real and it is NEVER disobeyed. EVER!! This little story with Kevin will illustrate it..see if you can guess what it is and why it's so important! *hint: The Merx are the ones who disobeyed it the most.*
