Its a symbol of the cycle of predator and pray but also a calibration of fertility and male virility. Females used to be chosen as well but underage pregnancy are often a complicated business so now they use males it;s all symbolic anyway.\n\nSo on this spacial night one young rabbit boy is chosen to be the avatar of the god of fertility often represented as a rabbit while one special lion is chosen to represent the god of the hunt and sexual potency. the people believe it fosters good relations between there two tries and insures a good harvest and plentiful hunts. This year it was Kevin and Kiwa, two close friends and Kevin even got to have his best Friend Jeffy and his buddy Andy act as witnesses. (They wanted to stay up late and watch!)
