At school, girls have completely accepted Yazmin for who she is and most of the faculty and staff have expressed no qualms. She is relatively popular but mostly keeps to herself.
Her best friends are Zara Karimi and Amber Walnut who, besides being the first people to accept her entirely, are also the ones who helped her grow more and more comfortable in her body.
The three of them have a tight-knit group that are pretty inseparable. Even though, through Zara and Amber most of her encounters exist, Yazmin's first sexual encounter was with her aardwolf school teacher whom she had a little crush on. Now that teacher is her pseudo-boyfriend (considering he has a wife) and they secretly hook up from time to time -- not just for sex, but to go out to eat, see movies and other sweet things.
Due to fear of being caught, she has never revealed which teacher she is in a pseudo-relationship with -- not even to Amber and Zara.

Yazmin lives in a lower middle class cul-de-sac which is comfortable enough. She has two siblings -- a brother who is too young to attend her school and a sister who is in high school.
Her parents occasionally struggle with her (his) effeminate demeanor but it has yet to become a big issue. Mostly they get along so everything is as fine as it could be for now.
Yazmin has a few other relatives that live in the area but she doesn't see them so often and tends to forget their names.
Interests, Hobbies and Likes
Yazmin loves her schoolwork and general academia -- getting straight A's in all of her classes through genuinely working very hard.
Even though she has stage-fright, she has been told that she is a very good actor and performer by her English teachers. Frequently she is egged on to participate in drama classes.
She also loves to read and go to the library and, on grand occasion, is known to get completely absorbed in smutty romance novels for hours on end.
Distastes, fears and anxieties
She isn't particularly afraid of being outed for being transgender but it would be a grand inconvenience. It causes her some anxiety, but she knows it'll eventually happen and she has planned ahead with many different places she could live.
It also terrifies her -- the idea of one of her partners getting in trouble on her behalf for being with her. That almost terrifies her as much as the idea that one of her partners ends up not liking her afterwards or just didn't have a nice time in general.
With great affection, she still spends intimate time with her first-time teacher but -- considering he has a wife -- she is terrified that his life would crumble apart if he is caught with her.
