I'm not too happy with the eye, I'm terrible with realistic eyes, but it's a better attempt than I've made before. I used a reference of a gecko's eyes, and the ridge above them came out wrong. Maybe I should try using a larger reptile as a reference next time, seeing as dragon anatomy would theoretically be suited to a larger reptile than a small lizard...\n\nThe shading came out better than I expected. I intended to make it look scaly but that didn't work out because I suck at scales/feathers but I did manage to make the shades look mottled in places where fine scales might be. it's something. The frills on his cheeks were a last-minute addition so they came out darker than I intended, but it doesn't seem to hurt the drawing.
