I wrote about this in a journal entry and I'm feeling lazy so I'll just say that the bird in the middle that's probably the only good thing on this entire picture was done with a bamboo brush and India ink. We only had 15 minutes to try all of these mediums so the entire image was done in 15 minutes with 5 or so being put into the bird... Yeah.\n\nI guess the eye is pretty good. Done with a charcoal pencil, a medium I'm familiar with.\n\nThe hot mess of red is acrylic. I don't know what I was doing with it, we only had one color and someone else wanted to use it so I just rushed and made a flower-thing and some random strokes...\n\nWhatever the hell those blue things are is supposed to be oil pastel - not my favorite media.\n\nWe were supposed to use watercolor as well but I bypassed it. I hate watercolor and personally, I think it's for children. It's what first-graders use in art class because it doesn't stain, and its color is pale and bland. I like acrylic, it's very bold, it reflects the modern style of our very bright abstract and I don't feel like a kid using it.\n\nYes I know people can make great art with crayons and such but I prefer not to, especially when I can get better results with big-people mediums. :l","description_bbcode_parsed":"<span style='word-wrap: break-word;'>This is probably the worst submission I&#039;ve ever submitted.<br /><br />Basically, the other day in my art appreciation class, we were given a piece of printer paper and told to play with 7 different mediums of art.
