Meanwhile in the palace dungeon where Sonic was chained to a wall. Chip flew in through the window and found Sonic and used his small metal things as keys and successfully unlocked the chains from Sonic.

"Thanks, Chip!" said Sonic.

"No problem, Sonic." said Chip.

"I can't believe she's a princess." Sonic sighed.

"What a surprise!" Chip nodded.

Suddenly an old man showed up. Chip flew behind Sonic's back frightened.

"Who are you?" asked Sonic.

"A lowly prisoner, just like yourself. But together we can be more. There is a magic cave which is filled with treasures beyond your wildest dreams and treasures to even impress your princess Amy Rose." replied the old man while informing Sonic about the cave.

"Wow!" said Chip, listening to the old man.

"Why would you share all this treasure with me?" asked Sonic.

"Because I need a young boy with strong legs and strong back to go in after it." the old man replied.

"But there is only one problem. The cave is out there, and we're in here." said Sonic.

"Now, now. Things aren't always what they seem." said the old man as he pushed a hidden exit. "So, do we have a deal, boy?"

"Are you sure about this, Sonic?" Chip asked.

"I think so. We have to help the old man." Sonic replied.

Later, Sonic, Chip and the old man found the Enchanted Cave.

"Who disturbed my slumber?" the cave asked.

"It is I, Sonic the Hedgehog!" he replied.

"Hmmmmm... Proceed! Touch nothing but the lamp!" the cave said as he opened his mouth for Sonic.

"Remember, lad! First, fetch me the lamp, then I'll give you your reward!" said the old man.

Sonic and Chip entered inside the cave. Once they're inside the cave, they entered a large shiny treasure chamber filled with giant piles of gold, silver and jewels.

"Wow, would you look at that?" said Sonic.
