Alas due to some bug with the fluid sim, I was not able to get it to activate unfortunately. There may have been a bug in the project since the only way to fix it would've been to rebuild the whole animation (which took a few hours to set up), I just decided to render this as is and do a different, simpler animation for the fluid sim stuff. I also decided to render this overnight in Cycles and it took about 8 hours to render all 200 frames. So I can probably do longer animations and just render them before going to bed and while I'm at work.
