"writing": "A great, boxy cargo ship sailed in the void between the stars. Though it was boxy and utilitarian, the ship was not quite ugly. The front was narrower than the rest of the ship, packing the bridge, some very basic amenities, and lodging for a very small crew, into a confined but livable space. Behind this, the ship widened into a much larger box, the cargo holds.\n\nThere were three cargo holds. To port and starboard, the main holds were the largest and most distinctive from the otherwise boxy shapes that composed the ship. They were each roughly the size of a large aircraft hangar, and held many tons of cargo in very sturdy racks. \n\nLinking the two down the center was a smaller auxiliary hold. This hold was considerably smaller than the main holds, but had specialized equipment for safely transporting more delicate or high-maintenance goods. It also housed the engine, which seemed deceptively small for the ship it was mounted on, but still somehow managed to push the whole cargo ship past the speed of light when required.\n\nAt the controls of this ship was a very, very bored cat. Kali was, at the very least, interesting to look at, being covered in blue fur. The fur was patterned with black stripes all along the cat’s body, and the blue took a slightly darker hue in the hair atop his head. Also intriguing was the way his yellow-tinted eyes seemed to glow under the right light.\nUsually, most of this was covered in a grey jumpsuit that was his shipping company’s uniform, as it was now.\n\nHe was sitting back in the captain’s chair up in the bridge, staring blankly out into space with a highly nonplussed look on his face. Space never got completely boring to stare out at. There was so much of it, and every point of light indicated another place to be seen and explored. But Kali often felt that he wanted to share such thoughts with someone else. Being the sole crew-member on his ship, he had no one.\n\nThe company did try to give him ways to entertain himself. A rather nice internet connection combined with a game console let him do a decent amount of online gaming, even during transit between planets. Managing the cargo provided pretty decent exercise, but hardly provided mental stimulation. Attempts to chat up clients were fruitless, as the client was typically understandably busy.\n\nA console off to the left lit up, indicating an incoming communication request. Kali leaned forward, then smacked the console’s keyboard in the vague area of the “y” key. After a moment, the largest screen in the bridge flickered to life to display the visage of a stately looking lady badger. His boss, in fact.\n\n“Hey chief.” He said, warily. Kali hadn’t worked for her terribly long, but he was led to understand that she was not a good person to upset, ever. Few badgers were.\n\n“Hello, Deikan.” She began.\n\n“You can call me Kali.”\n\n“I can...” She replied, squinting at him. “But when I said I wanted to be on a first name basis with staff, I meant it. It says you’re Deikan Kalibran in company records. So, Deikan, I have a special job for you, just came in.” \n\nShe reached offscreen and another of the bridge consoles lit up, saying it had received navigation data. “A nearby colony has had some sort of disease outbreak. It’s spread by local biting insects, so keep an eye out for that once you’ve landed. Lots 117 through 120 are surplus pharmaceuticals, correct?”\n\nKali grabbed the manifest tablet and powered it on. “Yeah. It’s quinine, actually.”\n\nThe badger smiled. “Good. That’s what they’re asking for. They want the lots in their entirety, but can’t pay going market value. However, I have arranged a trade of goods to cover what they can’t afford. This colony produces advanced robotics and AI equipment. Even though medicine is very valuable, especially in small colonies, we’re making a very, very good deal with what they’re offering to trade.”\n\nKali looked a bit concerned. “We’re not gouging them, are we?”\n\nThe badger laughed. “Not at all. We have a surplus, and we are trading it for their surplus. Everyone gets what they want.”\n\nRelieved, the cat leaned back in his chair. “Great. Hey, Chief?”\n\n“What can I do for you, Deikan?”\n\n“I’ve asked a few times about getting an assistant or co-pilot. Any progress on that?” Despite receiving a negative response every time he’d asked this, Kali still managed to sound hopeful.\n\nThe Chief looked thoughtful. “No, Deikan. I’m sorry. But I think part of this deal will help make it up to you. Most of the cargo is going to replace the medicine in the lots, but part of it is going to lot 301. That part of the shipment is yours, off the books.”\n\nThis was very strange. Kali had never been promised anything like that from any employer ever. “Auxiliary? Am I getting a ship AI or something?”\n\n“Or something. I think you’ll like it.” And with that, the communication screen turned off, leaving Kali alone with the new nav data.\n\nThe planet wasn’t out-of-the-way, really, but it was apparently not even important enough to merit a name. When prompted for information, the navigation computer would just serve up the designation “Hu5-III PC 216”. That functionally translated to “First recorded by the Hubble 5 station, Third deep-space observation, Prospect for Colonization number 216.” \nUsually, even a sparsely populated colony planet would register an official name. It was a sort of badge of legitimacy.\n\nThe ship shuddered ever so slightly as the engine spooled up. There was a feeling of vertigo as it pushed past light-speed and the gravity panels adjusted to compensate. \n\nThe journey only took 6 hours with Kali running the jump drive at full capacity. It burned more fuel, but if people needed medicine, he felt the decent thing to do would be to hurry up. The gravity well of the destination star eased the cargo down from light speed, and the ship settled into a course for the colony planet.\n\nDuring those 6 hours, Kali had done 300 sit-ups, and got to level 15 in “Call of Warfare 12: Infinite Duty Ops 3”, from level 1. The Ship beeped impatiently at him, and he tossed the controller aside. “Field of Battle 0.25 is better...” He said, to no one in particular.\n\nKali straightened out his uniform as he walked up to the bridge. Several screens lit up, displaying information on the colony planet. It had a very dense atmosphere, with a lot of moisture and heat. An ideal planet for biting insects and diseases to thrive on, in other words.\n\nA census taken by the colonists showed that there was very little natural plant and animal life overall. There was no significant local agriculture, but a lot of mining and processing. Anyone looking at the trade history of the colony could easily guess that they worked on electronics, based on the ratio of rare and utility ores to any other traded resource. \n\nThere was only one inhabited settlement, near the equator. Kali started pulling up more navigation data and planning his approach. He settled on approaching from the other side of the planet, and coasting in slowly, using the atmosphere as a natural brake. It would be less straining on the ship, at the cost of taking about half an hour before he actually reached the colony.\n\nHalf an hour later, the cargo ship dipped down below the thick, overcast clouds, guided by the lights of the settlement. Also guided by a high-grade navigation computer, but the lights were a factor. The light of the main engine dimmed as Kali switched power over to lift coils, and brought the large boxy ship in towards the main landing platform. There was a solid, pleasing thud as it set its landing struts down on the platform, followed by a satisfying click as they locked into place, steadying the ship to move cargo on and off.\n\n“Hold on!” A harried voice cut in over the comms. “It’s getting late, and that’s when the bugs all come out. We don’t want you getting infected after helping us out. We’ll send out a team.”\n\nKali replied as he got up to move to the back of the ship. “Got it. I’ll get the shipment ready and open the doors when your team knocks.”\n\nThe blue feline jogged back to Hold 1 and turned down the first row of storage racks. The racks went from the floor to the roof, around fifty meters distance, with multiple shelves along the height. Fortunately, lots 117 through 120 were on the second and third rows of the racks, so it wouldn’t take too long to get them down. Around each rack, a carrier frame guided a cargo arm which assisted in moving heavy cargo.\nThe specialized container was against the right side of the wall right by the internal entrance to bay 3. The work robots had already hooked it into the interface and power hubs for specialized cargo. In fact, the area near the bay entrance was about three degrees warmer than ship standard, indicating a rapid transfer of power from the ship to the container.\n\n“I’ll want to check that.” Kali said, examining the doors of the container. He lifted the latch and pulled them open to see what was inside.\n\nThe walls of the container were lined with sub-storage units, no doubt containing specialized equipment related to what was contained in the center.\n\nIn the center of the container was a semi-transparent cylinder, connecting to hubs in the floor and ceiling. Inside the container was a green fluid that occasionally bubbled as it was cycled through the hubs. It glowed from some internal lighting source, illuminating a humanoid shape within. Once his eyes adjusted to the sudden change in light, Kali could see it was a young, naked girl of some undefined species. He realized she had to be an android. And from the looks of her, she was a pleasure android.\n\nHe stepped back and rolled his eyes so hard it hurt. “A fancy fucking sex toy is *not* an acceptable replacement for another crew-member!” He shouted, at no one in particular. He stepped out of the container, wringing his hands in frustration.\n\nAfter a moment, he stomped back into the container and looked around. Spotting a manual tablet on the wall, he snatched it from its holder and powered it on. At the very least, he could probably turn a pretty good profit off the books if he knew a little more about the android. \n\nThirty minutes later, he was still reading.\n\nIt was no mere companion-bot. This “Amber-1” series was a marvel of cyborg construction and Artificial Intelligence. Some third-party enthusiast had apparently designed the AI, and it went above and beyond that of any other non-military android Kali had ever heard of. After a few months spent interacting with people, it would be doubtful that anyone not in the know could even recognize an Amber-1 as an android.\n\nThe physical construction was top of the line. Amber-1’s possessed artificial sex organs (nice ones, at that), appropriate for an android of their type, but they were also modular. The sub-containers lining the walls apparently contained some of the modular parts that would let him outfit the android for heavy-duty work around the ship, if he liked. The roboticists must have really needed that medicine, to part with an android like this free of charge. At the very least, he could try her out as an assistant… and maybe more.\n\nSetting the tablet aside, he powered on a terminal at the base of the android’s tube, which he now knew facilitated diagnostics and recharging. First things first, she’d need a name. It defaulted to “Amber”, but he wanted something a bit more unique. Kali settled on “Aleph”. It was a little odd for a girl’s name, but he liked the sound of it. There were some options regarding personality, but he skipped them. Unless the kid’s a serial killer, She can work out how she wants to behave.\n\nFurther screens let him upload some maps and technical details of the ship to Aleph, as well as his own personnel file. He wasn’t sure if that would make introductions more or less awkward, but he looked forward to finding that out. He finalized the various uploads and preferences, and ran her startup sequence. This would take a while since it was the first time. Kali spent a few minutes looking around the sub containers. One of them contained some casual clothing in her size, and even a jumpsuit the same color as his. They must have done that on a clothes printer in anticipation of handing it off to him. Kind of a nice touch. He thought to himself.\n\nKali left the container, picked up the manual tablet, and went to make something to eat while he waited for the start-up to complete. The container filled with the sound of charging capacitors, mechanical whirring, and boring elevator music. The music was composed by some soulless corporate husk who was convinced that people sticking around for the startup sequence would require auditory stimulus, and that the Fleshacore executive staff were qualified to provide that. Fortunately, no one would ever hear it, as Kali was out of the room and it would stop when Aleph stepped out.\n\nOne of the few benefits of working on the large, clunky, lonely cargo ship was that it had a lot more free space than the average utility vessel. Though there were few windows in the ship, there were many external cameras for docking and maneuvering operations. It was easy enough to run those camera feeds to screens around the ship, giving the illusion of a window. The modest kitchen area’s walls were lined with several of these screens, showing off the endless field of stars surrounding the ship.\n\nThe kitchen was relatively well stocked. This run hadn’t been the first time grateful colonists had left the ship with surplus goods as payment. Samples of various crops from various worlds were held in stasis in one of the cabinets. With a full crew, they likely wouldn’t have lasted too long, but Kali had managed to make some of the crops last months at a time, thanks to the stasis field preventing their spoilage.\n\nOne sandwich later, he was leaning back in his chair, staring at the ceiling, starved for company and conversation, as per usual. His steadfast doing of nothing was interrupted by the light, rhythmic sound of approaching footsteps. This sound was cut short by the sound of Kali falling back in his chair in a heap on the floor. In the kitchen doorway stood the newly activated Aleph. The young-bodied android looked blankly down at him, her mental processes having difficulty deciding if she should offer him a hand up or if he would be fine. She’d work on that. She sure looked nice in the grey jumpsuit Kali had left out for her, though.\n\nKali scrambled to his feet, brushing himself off. Now what do I say? How do you talk to an android you own? Like normal, I guess, if it’s this advanced…\n\n“Hello Aleph.” he said.\n\n“Hello, Kalibran.” Was her reply, considerably cooler and not at all nervous. Then again, she was just now starting to manifest a personality. Countless subroutines and algorithms quickly gathered data about the surroundings, her owner, and a yet more complex generation of random numbers, combining everything into programs regulating behavior and demeanor.\n\n\n\nII.\nAleph settled into her job as Kali’s assistant with unprecedented expediency. The files he had attached to her startup procedures meant that she already knew the basic ins and outs of the ship. In addition, the blue furred feline was a capable teacher, and more than happy to spend entire days going through the ship’s systems with her. Together, they completed his primary cargo run, collected trade and payment, and settled in on a course for their home station.\n\n“I rarely stick around very long. The company station is one of the few places more lonely than this ship. Oh sure, the Chief is there with her husband, but they’re not too talkative.” he explained to Aleph. “I think she’ll probably want to meet you, though.”\n\nThey were sitting together in the bridge. Kali was leaning back in the captain's chair with his feet up on an unpowered console. Aleph was in the chair just to his right, peering at him with an expression of idle curiosity. It was an expression she wore frequently. It gave her a cute, naive look. Kali reached over and ruffled her hair affectionately. This was followed up by him leaning over to pick her up out of her chair. He set her down in his lap and hugged her from behind, purring happily.\n\nAleph looked up at him and offered an awkward smile. The cat had taken to handling her this way, and she certainly didn’t mind. They hadn’t been intimate yet, but part of her hoped they would soon. It was one of the functions she was built for, and she was curious. Not even the finest AI programmers could quite convey what sex was like, so she needed to acquire that data herself. Furthermore, the various programs that had been assembling her personality over the past few days had reached the conclusion that Deikan Kalibran was, to put it simply, hot.\n\nKali tightened his hug for a moment before standing, helping Aleph slide off his lap onto her feet. The cat’s mind had been on very much the same thing. He’d been having one hell of a dry spell since he started working for the cargo company. And Aleph was literally created to be a great friend and a great partner. But he didn’t want to be shallow about it. As far as he could tell, Aleph was as close to being a full, real person as any AI driven cyborg could be. Still, it was hard to resist jumping her, she was so sweet, and so open to new experiences. \nWell, if I’m going to treat her like a person…\n\n“Hey, Aleph?”\n\nShe looked up and gave him that awkward smile again. “Yes, Kali?”\n\nThis was it then… “I was wondering… can we, uh… have sex?” Well, that would earn him a lot of derisive laughter in a bar…\n\nHer face returned to its neutral expression while she considered the question. “Of course we can, that is part of what I am built for.”\n\nHe sighed. “Yeah, I know. But I mean… would you want to? With me?”\n\nShe understood now. He wasn’t asking for information. This was shyness.\n\nAn entirely new program fired up, this one full of surprises. With unanticipated strength, Aleph guided Kali back to the captain’s chair and pushed him back into it. Once the surprised cat had settled, she reached up and grabbed his jumpsuit zipper, pulling it slowly down to expose his front, including his semi-erect member. If Aleph had possessed a heart, it would have skipped a beat in anticipation of finally getting to try this with someone. She opened her mouth and dragged her slick tongue from the base of his shaft to his tip, evaluating Kali’s reaction to the lick. \n\nHis reaction was certainly positive. The blue feline’s toes curled and he emitted an affectionate meow, while he grew harder for his android companion. Aleph grasped at the base of his shaft and took his length into her maw, applying gentle suction and starting to bob her head up and down. He knew she was just running routines she was programmed to run, but Kali still felt his chest pound with excitement, watching her curious eyes peering up at him as she pleased him.\n\nWhoever designed the A-1’s mouth should get an award. He concluded. His legs tensed up and he groaned loudly, the android was rapidly bringing him to climax. \n\nAleph was programmed to tell the cat was close. She massaged his base and pressed ever so slightly harder against the underside of his shaft with her tongue, coaxing him closer and closer to climax with every movement of her head. And then he could take no more. Kali shook and leaned his head back, and emptied himself into her waiting mouth.\n\nThe room seemed to spin to him, and he leaned back in the chair and tried to collect himself. Aleph peered curiously up his heaving chest. She was getting good at that quiet, curious stare. “Aleph,” panted the cat, “That was great.”\n\n“Thank you.” she replied, giving his spent length a few strokes for good measure.\n\nKali sat up again, then stood, slipping free of Aleph’s grasp. “I think we should take this to the bedroom.” He suggested.\n\nOn the way there, the cat shed his clothing entirely, and pulled Aleph’s jumpsuit off as well, and the two of them were already nude by the time they arrived in his bedroom. The cat was hard again, as well. He sat down on the edge of the bed and pulled Aleph into his lap, his arousal pressing against her back as he hugged her.\n\n“You put a lot of emphasis on hugging and petting as signs of affection.” Observed the android. “You put almost more emphasis on these than the sex itself.”\n\nKali contemplated that statement. “I suppose I do. Maybe that’s just how I am. Maybe I’ve been pretty lonely running this ship alone. Anyways, I like hugging you, Aleph.”\n\nShe peered up, over her shoulder at him. “Fleshacore has taken great care to make the A-1 series easy and comfortable to hold.”\n\n“Is that so?” Mused the blue feline. He hooked an arm behind one of her legs and rolled on his side, pulling one of Aleph’s legs up to give his member room to nestle up against her pussy. With a soft purr, he eased himself into her. The android was warm and tight, clinging to his throbbing shaft like a lover’s embrace, appropriately enough.\n\n\n\nAleph’s expression was one of surprise, excitement, and pleasure. Pleasure of a kind she didn’t quite understand. It somehow registered as more special, more meaningful than the sense of accomplishment that came with working around the ship. She was now linked physically with Kali, something she had been aspiring to with varying degrees since they met.\n\nMoaning, the feline began moving his hips, driving himself in and out of the android. He started slow at first, but she felt so good, he couldn’t help speeding up and fucking her hard. He wanted more. Every time he bottomed out in her, it made a satisfying smacking sound, occasionally accompanied by a low moan from the cat.\n\nAleph’s hand rose to cover her mouth, stifling a moan of her own. A new program was compiling itself, creating more depth to making love with the android, as well as her own understanding. While her base programming gave her a thorough knowledge of sex, nothing could compare to, or prepare her for, actually doing it. It was blowing her mind, so to speak.\n\n“Aleph...” The cat caught her attention, speaking between pleased, rough breaths. “I’m so close….”\n\nAnother moan, louder, forced its way from Aleph’s mouth, one she could not suppress. Her sensory processes were overwhelmed, and she herself had her first climax. The android cried out and shuddered, and her vice-like pussy clenched even tighter around Kali’s shaft. The feline could no longer hold back either. Spurned on by Aleph’s sweet sounds, the increasing tightness around his member, and his feelings for her, he lifted her leg yet higher, trying to make room so he could bury his cock in her as deep as it would go. Shuddering himself, he unloaded into his robotic companion, delivering her first ever cream-pie, fresh, warm, and thick. A small string of his cum dripped out around his shaft.\n\nThe intense moment ended with silence. Kali was too overwhelmed with the intensity of his orgasm to move, and Aleph was unsure if she should say anything. Deep in her primary memory, her file on Kalibran, her first compiled .dpr (dynamic person registry), was appended. His status changed from “Owner/Captain” to “Captain/Lover”. The change barely affected the overall composition of the file, and the size, not at all. Yet it felt big to her, big and comforting. Also comforting were the cat’s arms, now sliding over her chest to hold her close.\n\nDays later\n\nKali leaned back in the captain’s chair and rubbed between Aleph’s ears affectionately. The Communications panel beeped and with an undignified flail, the feline turned it on, displaying the image of his boss on the screen. He pulled Aleph into his lap and waved. “Hey boss!”\n\nThe badger looked as prim and proper as she always did. “Deikan. You appear to be in high spirits.” \n\nAleph propped herself up and waved as well, before quietly settling back into the cat’s lap. Kali’s Boss’s eyes widened slightly. “Your payment was an Alpha 1 Unit?”\n\nKali shrugged. “Yes, but I prefer to think my payment was a cute coworker. Aleph here has been making herself very useful around the ship.”\n\nThe badger rubbed the side of her muzzle. “Well… I am glad. That, plus the surplus equipment traded for the medicine, is a very significant profit. I think you should take a few days off to get to know your new friend a little better.” \nWith that, his boss abruptly cut the transmission, leaving Kali alone with Aleph again.\n\n“Well,” he said, “You heard the boss. How about we head back to my room and get to know each other better?” \n\nAleph replied with a sweet smile as she unzipped her work suit, leaving it behind as she followed him off the bridge.\n",
"writing_bbcode_parsed": "<span style='word-wrap: break-word;'>A great, boxy cargo ship sailed in the void between the stars. Though it was boxy and utilitarian, the ship was not quite ugly. The front was narrower than the rest of the ship, packing the bridge, some very basic amenities, and lodging for a very small crew, into a confined but livable space. Behind this, the ship widened into a much larger box, the cargo holds.<br /><br />There were three cargo holds. To port and starboard, the main holds were the largest and most distinctive from the otherwise boxy shapes that composed the ship. They were each roughly the size of a large aircraft hangar, and held many tons of cargo in very sturdy racks. <br /><br />Linking the two down the center was a smaller auxiliary hold. This hold was considerably smaller than the main holds, but had specialized equipment for safely transporting more delicate or high-maintenance goods. It also housed the engine, which seemed deceptively small for the ship it was mounted on, but still somehow managed to push the whole cargo ship past the speed of light when required.<br /><br />At the controls of this ship was a very, very bored cat. Kali was, at the very least, interesting to look at, being covered in blue fur. The fur was patterned with black stripes all along the cat&rsquo;s body, and the blue took a slightly darker hue in the hair atop his head. Also intriguing was the way his yellow-tinted eyes seemed to glow under the right light.<br />Usually, most of this was covered in a grey jumpsuit that was his shipping company&rsquo;s uniform, as it was now.<br /><br />He was sitting back in the captain&rsquo;s chair up in the bridge, staring blankly out into space with a highly nonplussed look on his face. Space never got completely boring to stare out at. There was so much of it, and every point of light indicated another place to be seen and explored. But Kali often felt that he wanted to share such thoughts with someone else. Being the sole crew-member on his ship, he had no one.<br /><br />The company did try to give him ways to entertain himself. A rather nice internet connection combined with a game console let him do a decent amount of online gaming, even during transit between planets. Managing the cargo provided pretty decent exercise, but hardly provided mental stimulation. Attempts to chat up clients were fruitless, as the client was typically understandably busy.<br /><br />A console off to the left lit up, indicating an incoming communication request. Kali leaned forward, then smacked the console&rsquo;s keyboard in the vague area of the &ldquo;y&rdquo; key. After a moment, the largest screen in the bridge flickered to life to display the visage of a stately looking lady badger. His boss, in fact.<br /><br />&ldquo;Hey chief.&rdquo; He said, warily. Kali hadn&rsquo;t worked for her terribly long, but he was led to understand that she was not a good person to upset, ever. Few badgers were.<br /><br />&ldquo;Hello, Deikan.&rdquo; She began.<br /><br />&ldquo;You can call me Kali.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;I can...&rdquo; She replied, squinting at him. &ldquo; But when I said I wanted to be on a first name basis with staff, I meant it. It says you&rsquo;re Deikan Kalibran in company records. So, Deikan, I have a special job for you, just came in.&rdquo; <br /><br />She reached offscreen and another of the bridge consoles lit up, saying it had received navigation data. &ldquo;A nearby colony has had some sort of disease outbreak. It&rsquo;s spread by local biting insects, so keep an eye out for that once you&rsquo;ve landed. Lots 117 through 120 are surplus pharmaceuticals, correct?&rdquo;<br /><br />Kali grabbed the manifest tablet and powered it on. &ldquo;Yeah. It&rsquo;s quinine, actually.&rdquo;<br /><br />The badger smiled. &ldquo;Good. That&rsquo;s what they&rsquo;re asking for. They want the lots in their entirety, but can&rsquo;t pay going market value. However, I have arranged a trade of goods to cover what they can&rsquo;t afford. This colony produces advanced robotics and AI equipment. Even though medicine is very valuable, especially in small colonies, we&rsquo;re making a very, very good deal with what they&rsquo;re offering to trade.&rdquo;<br /><br />Kali looked a bit concerned. &ldquo; We&rsquo;re not gouging them, are we?&rdquo;<br /><br />The badger laughed. &ldquo; Not at all. We have a surplus, and we are trading it for their surplus. Everyone gets what they want.&rdquo;<br /><br />Relieved, the cat leaned back in his chair. &ldquo;Great. Hey, Chief?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;What can I do for you, Deikan?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;ve asked a few times about getting an assistant or co-pilot. Any progress on that?&rdquo; Despite receiving a negative response every time he&rsquo;d asked this, Kali still managed to sound hopeful.<br /><br />The Chief looked thoughtful. &ldquo; No, Deikan. I&rsquo;m sorry. But I think part of this deal will help make it up to you. Most of the cargo is going to replace the medicine in the lots, but part of it is going to lot 301. That part of the shipment is yours, off the books.&rdquo;<br /><br />This was very strange. Kali had never been promised anything like that from any employer ever. &ldquo;Auxiliary? Am I getting a ship AI or something?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Or something. I think you&rsquo;ll like it.&rdquo; And with that, the communication screen turned off, leaving Kali alone with the new nav data.<br /><br />The planet wasn&rsquo;t out-of-the-way, really, but it was apparently not even important enough to merit a name. When prompted for information, the navigation computer would just serve up the designation &ldquo;Hu5-III PC 216&rdquo;. That functionally translated to &ldquo;First recorded by the Hubble 5 station, Third deep-space observation, Prospect for Colonization number 216.&rdquo; <br />Usually, even a sparsely populated colony planet would register an official name. It was a sort of badge of legitimacy.<br /><br />The ship shuddered ever so slightly as the engine spooled up. There was a feeling of vertigo as it pushed past light-speed and the gravity panels adjusted to compensate. <br /><br />The journey only took 6 hours with Kali running the jump drive at full capacity. It burned more fuel, but if people needed medicine, he felt the decent thing to do would be to hurry up. The gravity well of the destination star eased the cargo down from light speed, and the ship settled into a course for the colony planet.<br /><br />During those 6 hours, Kali had done 300 sit-ups,&nbsp;&nbsp;and got to level 15 in &ldquo;Call of Warfare 12: Infinite Duty Ops 3&rdquo;, from level 1. The Ship beeped impatiently at him, and he tossed the controller aside. &ldquo;Field of Battle 0.25 is better...&rdquo; He said, to no one in particular.<br /><br />Kali straightened out his uniform as he&nbsp;&nbsp;walked up to the bridge. Several screens lit up, displaying information on the colony planet. It had a very dense atmosphere, with a lot of moisture and heat. An ideal planet for biting insects and diseases to thrive on, in other words.<br /><br />A census taken by the colonists showed that there was very little natural plant and animal life overall. There was no significant local agriculture, but a lot of mining and processing. Anyone looking at the trade history of the colony could easily guess that they worked on electronics, based on the ratio of rare and utility ores to any other traded resource. <br /><br />There was only one inhabited settlement, near the equator. Kali started pulling up more navigation data and planning his approach. He settled on approaching from the other side of the planet, and coasting in slowly, using the atmosphere as a natural brake. It would be less straining on the ship, at the cost of taking about half an hour before he actually reached the colony.<br /><br />Half an hour later, the cargo ship dipped down below the thick, overcast clouds, guided by the lights of the settlement. Also guided by a high-grade navigation computer, but the lights were a factor. The light of the main engine dimmed as Kali switched power over to lift coils, and brought the large boxy ship in towards the main landing platform. There was a solid, pleasing thud as it set its landing struts down on the platform, followed by a satisfying click as they locked into place, steadying the ship to move cargo on and off.<br /><br />&ldquo;Hold on!&rdquo; A harried voice cut in over the comms. &ldquo; It&rsquo;s getting late, and that&rsquo;s when the bugs all come out. We don&rsquo;t want you getting infected after helping us out. We&rsquo;ll send out a team.&rdquo;<br /><br />Kali replied as he got up to move to the back of the ship. &ldquo;Got it. I&rsquo;ll get the shipment ready and open the doors when your team knocks.&rdquo;<br /><br />The blue feline jogged back to Hold 1 and turned down the first row of storage racks. The racks went from the floor to the roof, around fifty meters distance, with multiple shelves along the height. Fortunately, lots 117 through 120 were on the second and third rows of the racks, so it wouldn&rsquo;t take too long to get them down. Around each rack, a carrier frame guided a cargo arm which assisted in moving heavy cargo.<br />The specialized container was against the right side of the wall right by the internal entrance to bay 3. The work robots had already hooked it into the interface and power hubs for specialized cargo. In fact, the area near the bay entrance was about three degrees warmer than ship standard, indicating a rapid transfer of power from the ship to the container.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;ll want to check that.&rdquo; Kali said, examining the doors of the container. He lifted the latch and pulled them open to see what was inside.<br /><br />The walls of the container were lined with sub-storage units, no doubt containing specialized equipment related to what was contained in the center.<br /><br />In the center of the container was a semi-transparent cylinder, connecting to hubs in the floor and ceiling. And from the looks of her, she was a pleasure android.<br /><br />He stepped back and rolled his eyes so hard it hurt. &ldquo;A fancy fucking sex toy is *not* an acceptable replacement for another crew-member!&rdquo; He shouted, at no one in particular. He stepped out of the container, wringing his hands in frustration.<br /><br />After a moment, he stomped back into the container and looked around. Spotting a manual tablet on the wall, he snatched it from its holder and powered it on. At the very least, he could probably turn a pretty good profit off the books if he knew a little more about the android. <br /><br />Thirty minutes later, he was still reading.<br /><br />It was no mere companion-bot. This &ldquo;Amber-1&rdquo; series was a marvel of cyborg construction and Artificial Intelligence. Some third-party enthusiast had apparently designed the AI, and it went above and beyond that of any other non-military android Kali had ever heard of. After a few months spent interacting with people, it would be doubtful that anyone not in the know could even recognize an Amber-1 as an android.<br /><br />The physical construction was top of the line. Amber-1&rsquo;s possessed artificial sex organs (nice ones, at that), appropriate for an android of their type, but they were also modular. The sub-containers lining the walls apparently contained some of the modular parts that would let him outfit the android for heavy-duty work around the ship, if he liked. The roboticists must have really needed that medicine, to part with an android like this free of charge. At the very least, he could try her out as an assistant&hellip; and maybe more.<br /><br />Setting the tablet aside, he powered on a terminal at the base of the android&rsquo;s tube, which he now knew facilitated diagnostics and recharging.&nbsp;&nbsp;First things first, she&rsquo;d need a name. It defaulted to &ldquo;Amber&rdquo;, but he wanted something a bit more unique. Kali settled on &ldquo;Aleph&rdquo;. It was a little odd for a girl&rsquo;s name, but he liked the sound of it. There were some options regarding personality, but he skipped them. <em>Unless the kid&rsquo;s a serial killer, She can work out how she wants to behave.</em><br /><br />Further screens let him upload some maps and technical details of the ship to Aleph, as well as his own personnel file. He wasn&rsquo;t sure if that would make introductions more or less awkward, but he looked forward to finding that out. <em>Kind of a nice touch.</em> He thought to himself.<br /><br />Kali left the container,&nbsp;&nbsp;picked up the manual tablet, and went to make something to eat while he waited for the start-up to complete. The container filled with the sound of charging capacitors, mechanical whirring, and boring elevator music. The music was composed by some soulless corporate husk who was convinced that people sticking around for the startup sequence would require auditory stimulus, and that the Fleshacore executive staff were qualified to provide that. Fortunately, no one would ever hear it, as Kali was out of the room and it would stop when Aleph stepped out.<br /><br />One of the few benefits of working on the large, clunky, lonely cargo ship was that it had a lot more free space than the average utility vessel. Though there were few windows in the ship, there were many external cameras for docking and maneuvering operations. It was easy enough to run those camera feeds to screens around the ship, giving the illusion of a window. The modest kitchen area&rsquo;s walls were lined with several of these screens, showing off the endless field of stars surrounding the ship.<br /><br />The kitchen was relatively well stocked. This run hadn&rsquo;t been the first time grateful colonists had left the ship with surplus goods as payment. Samples of various crops from various worlds were held in stasis in one of the cabinets. With a full crew, they likely wouldn&rsquo;t have lasted too long, but Kali had managed to make some of the crops last months at a time, thanks to the stasis field preventing their spoilage.<br /><br />One sandwich later, he was leaning back in his chair, staring at the ceiling, starved for company and conversation, as per usual. She&rsquo;d work on that. She sure looked nice in the grey jumpsuit Kali had left out for her, though.<br /><br />Kali scrambled to his feet, brushing himself off. <em>Now what do I say? How do you talk to an android you own? Like normal, I guess, if it&rsquo;s this advanced&hellip;</em><br /><br />&ldquo;Hello Aleph.&rdquo; he said.<br /><br />&ldquo;Hello, Kalibran.&rdquo; Was her reply, considerably cooler and not at all nervous. Then again, she was just now starting to manifest a personality. Countless subroutines and algorithms quickly gathered data about the surroundings, her owner, and a yet more complex generation of random numbers, combining everything into programs regulating behavior and demeanor.<br /><br /><br /><br />II.<br />Aleph settled into her job as Kali&rsquo;s assistant with unprecedented expediency. The files he had attached to her startup procedures meant that she already knew the basic ins and outs of the ship. In addition, the blue furred feline was a capable teacher, and more than happy to spend entire days going through the ship&rsquo;s systems with her. Together, they completed his primary cargo run, collected trade and payment, and settled in on a course for their home station.<br /><br />&ldquo;I rarely stick around very long. The company station is one of the few places more lonely than this ship. Oh sure, the Chief is there with her husband, but they&rsquo;re not too talkative.&rdquo; he explained to Aleph. &ldquo;I think she&rsquo;ll probably want to meet you, though.&rdquo;<br /><br />They were sitting together in the bridge. Kali was leaning back in the captain&#039;s chair with his feet up on an unpowered console. Aleph was in the chair just to his right, peering at him with an expression of idle curiosity. It was an expression she wore frequently. It gave her a cute, naive look. Kali reached over and ruffled her hair affectionately. This was followed up by him leaning over to pick her up out of her chair. He set her down in his lap and hugged her from behind, purring happily.<br /><br />Aleph looked up at him and offered an awkward smile. The cat had taken to handling her this way, and she certainly didn&rsquo;t mind. They hadn&rsquo;t been intimate yet, but part of her hoped they would soon. It was one of the functions she was built for, and she was curious. Not even the finest AI programmers could quite convey what sex was like, so she needed to acquire that data herself. Furthermore, the various programs that had been assembling her personality over the past few days had reached the conclusion that Deikan Kalibran was, to put it simply, hot.<br /><br />Kali tightened his hug for a moment before standing, helping Aleph slide off his lap onto her feet. The cat&rsquo;s mind had been on very much the same thing. He&rsquo;d been having one hell of a dry spell since he started working for the cargo company. And Aleph was literally created to be a great friend and a great partner. But he didn&rsquo;t want to be shallow about it. As far as he could tell, Aleph was as close to being a full, real person as any AI driven cyborg could be. Still, it was hard to resist jumping her, she was so sweet, and so open to new experiences. <br /><em>Well, if I&rsquo;m going to treat her like a person&hellip;</em><br /><br />&ldquo;Hey, Aleph?&rdquo;<br /><br />She looked up and gave him that awkward smile again. &ldquo;Yes, Kali?&rdquo;<br /><br />This was it then&hellip; &ldquo;I was wondering&hellip; can we, uh&hellip; have sex?&rdquo; Well, that would earn him a lot of derisive laughter in a bar&hellip;<br /><br />Her face returned to its neutral expression while she considered the question. &ldquo;Of course we can, that is part of what I am built for.&rdquo;<br /><br />He sighed. &ldquo;Yeah, I know. But I mean&hellip; would you want to? With me?&rdquo;<br /><br />She understood now. He wasn&rsquo;t asking for information. This was shyness.<br /><br />An entirely new program fired up, this one full of surprises. With unanticipated strength, Aleph guided Kali back to the captain&rsquo;s chair and pushed him back into it. Once the surprised cat had settled, she reached up and grabbed his jumpsuit zipper, pulling it slowly down to expose his front, including his semi-erect member. If Aleph had possessed a heart, it would have skipped a beat in anticipation of finally getting to try this with someone. She opened her mouth and dragged her slick tongue from the base of his shaft to his tip, evaluating Kali&rsquo;s reaction to the lick. <br /><br />His reaction was certainly positive. The blue feline&rsquo;s toes curled and he emitted an affectionate meow, while he grew harder for his android companion. Aleph grasped at the base of his shaft and took his length into her maw, applying gentle suction and starting to bob her head up and down. He knew she was just running routines she was programmed to run, but Kali still felt his chest pound with excitement, watching her curious eyes peering up at him as she pleased him.<br /><em><br />Whoever designed the A-1&rsquo;s mouth should get an award. </em>He concluded. His legs tensed up and he groaned loudly, the android was rapidly bringing him to climax. <br /><br />Aleph was programmed to tell the cat was close. She massaged his base and pressed ever so slightly harder against the underside of his shaft with her tongue, coaxing him closer and closer to climax with every movement of her head. And then he could take no more. Kali shook and leaned his head back, and emptied himself into her waiting mouth.<br /><br />The room seemed to spin to him, and he leaned back in the chair and tried to collect himself. Aleph peered curiously up his heaving chest. She was getting good at that quiet, curious stare. &ldquo;Aleph,&rdquo; panted the cat, &ldquo; That was great.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Thank you.&rdquo; she replied, giving his spent length a few strokes for good measure.<br /><br />Kali sat up again, then stood, slipping free of Aleph&rsquo;s grasp. &ldquo;I think we should take this to the bedroom.&rdquo; He suggested.<br /><br />On the way there, the cat shed his clothing entirely, and pulled Aleph&rsquo;s jumpsuit off as well, and the two of them were already nude by the time they arrived in his bedroom. The cat was hard again, as well. He sat down on the edge of the bed and pulled Aleph into his lap, his arousal pressing against her back as he hugged her.<br /><br />&ldquo;You put a lot of emphasis on hugging and petting as signs of affection.&rdquo; Observed the android. &ldquo; You put almost more emphasis on these than the sex itself.&rdquo;<br /><br />Kali contemplated that statement. &ldquo;I suppose I do. Maybe that&rsquo;s just how I am. Maybe I&rsquo;ve been pretty lonely running this ship alone. Anyways, I like hugging you, Aleph.&rdquo;<br /><br />She peered up, over her shoulder at him. &ldquo;Fleshacore has taken great care to make the A-1 series easy and comfortable to hold.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Is that so?&rdquo; Mused the blue feline. He hooked an arm behind one of her legs and rolled on his side, pulling one of Aleph&rsquo;s legs up to give his member room to nestle up against her pussy.
