"writing": "Just Another Day\n\nA mechanical tapping echoed through the room, seemingly bouncing off of the walls as it mingled with a voice. Between the voice and the tapping, it was hard to distinguish which was louder than the other as Kaji just kept his gaze unfocused on the board ahead of him; his hand idly tapping the tip of his mechanical pencil against the desk. His ears idly flicking whenever they got tired, added a good four inches onto his already tall six foot four stature. His tail swaying in the air behind him; the last fifth of it resting on the ground as he gazed up at the board. The tapping still happened and swirled in with the taking of the teacher. A brush to the fur on the back of his head brought him out of the trance, and he spun his pencil in his paw for a second as he looked behind him. An otter, a good head shorter than Kaji himself, sniggering to himself in his seat as the draolf turned back around to look at the teacher. \n\nFor the sake of the class, Kaji's wings were curled as close as they could to his body; almost looking like a black cloak that was hanging over his shoulders. But he was so tempted to put that otter into his place; yet it'd have to wait till after the class. The mutt was already at the front of the class for giving that very same otter the static cling of his life. A small smirk played across his lips as he remembered that day. When he couldn't get out of his seat due to the static. God that was nice. A content chuckle escapes his muzzle as he then starts to copy down the notes op onto the board, his tail swaying happily to his mood that the memories brought back. That is, until another paper ball was sent his way and Kaji spun around; making the entire class jump including the teacher, and the palm of his hand ignited into fire as the paper ball fell to the floor as ash. \"Stop it,\" was all that was said from Kaji to the otter as he turned back around and continued copying the notes down. \n\nWith a low chorus of growls and snarls from every direction around him, the draolf just continued with writing his notes; a small smirk playing over his muzzle until he heard this. \"Kaji, enjoying yourself?\" said in a tone that was less than pleasant to hear, even when you're in school. The teen winced, knowing full well that he was in trouble as he looked up at his teacher. \n\nHis crimson eyes met her deep emerald eyes and he said, \"Despite the fact that I had to torch a paper ball when I could have let it hit me, yes. In fact, I am enjoying myself.\" Sarcasm isn't the best weapon in school, and the teacher hissed slightly under her breath as she brought up a paw and rubbed her templed with it. \"See me after class, Mr. Aldewolf. And we'll discuss it further then.\" With that, she walked back to the board and resumed talking about the lesson. Kaji shrugged slightly; wasn't the first time he got in trouble and he just went back to taking notes with the now chorus of snickering and chuckles echoing from the sides of the room. \n\nTime passed by with the usual class antics and the eventual handing out of the homework which caused whining and complaining to elicit from the students. Though Kaji didn't see the point of it, the whining never worked except on substitutes that were completely new to the job. But the draolf was leaning on his desk; his backpack hanging from his shoulder as he waited for the other students to leave and for the teacher to get back from her post at the door to make sure that the students actually leave the room. Moments passed and the creaking of the door caused an ear to perk; and then a glance of his eyes followed, a sigh followed soon after. \"Do I get to share my side of things, or am I going to have to do extra work,\" asked Kaji, his voice somber and his gaze slightly apathetic as he looked up at the white tigeress that was his teacher. \n\n\"I'd rather not have to give you extra homework as I'm sure your other classes are piling it onto you as well,\" said the teacher as she sat down on the edge of her desk; her arms folding under her chest as a scoff came from the draolf. \"But, as I do have to punish you somehow. And that I am also your Track Instructor.\" A sly grin slided onto her muzzle as Kaji looked over at her; fright glistening into those crimson eyes of his. \"Three miles, on the track. Five 'o' clock. Let's see if you can beat your old record.\"\n\nKaji clenched his teeth at that, and then he gave a rather annoyed sigh as his shoulders slumped. \"Alright, five 'o' clock it is.\" He ran a hand through the fur on his head before he picked up his bag for his next class and he walked out of the room where one of his friends was standing outside of the room. \"What do you want, Reina?\" grumbled the draolf towards the bunny. \n\n\"Just wondering what was taking you so long,\" said Reina with a smile, then a giggle escaped her lips. \"So, what'd ya get stuck with? Five pages of math work? Helping her after school? What?\" She was about a head and a half shorter than Kaji, though the ears made up for most of it when they weren't held back by a tie to stay out of her face. \n\nHe let out another sigh before he said, \"I have to run three miles after school. But first I need to get to Photography. See ya at lunch?\" He glanced down towards the burnt orange furred bunny who smiled and nodded before heading off towards her next class. Talking to her always brought a faint smile onto Kaji's face before he went off towards his next class, taking the stairs instead of leaping up to the second floor like he usually did. He just wasn't feeling too energetic today. He muttered to himself as he walked up the stairs, sliding in and out of crowds like a bird would fly through a forest of trees. \n\nA strong shove into his shoulder made him stop walking; his balance was good enough to keep himself from tumbling into another student before he looked back at the fur who pushed him. \"Haven't you teased me enough through High School, Brian? Or is it your mission in life to make sure that I'm as miserable as can be.\" His gaze leveled with the gryphon as he took a step down to have the crowd part around him. \n\n\"Look, Mutt. If I ever hear that you were threatening to torch my friends again, I'm going to find you and make you eat dirt,\" sneered the hybrid back at Kaji as he then started to storm down the stairs; leaving Kaji to just blink in dumbfoundment. He shook his head, muttering to himself once more about stupid avians before he headed towards his class. Which, ironically, was taught by an avian; a bald eagle to be precise. \n\n\"Ah, Kaji. Nice to see you,\" said the eagle, his chest puffing up as one of his better students walked into the room right as the buzzer rang throughout the school to signify that class had indeed started and for and stragglers to get to class then. Being one of the few teachers who wasn't a strict dictator in the class, he actually does ask the class how they are doing. \"So, how were your guys' weekends? Hopefully you have something to show us today.\" The edges of his beak turned upwards into a grin as he looked around the room; a few students averted his gaze as if they hadn't taken any photos lately and they didn't want him to choose them. Slowly a varied amount of hands raised up into the air, but only one of them had a datachip in his hands; the memory card to his camera. \n\n\"Here ya go, I took some photos of the cherry blossoms in Japan. Though it might be a bit atmospheric,\" said Kaji with a small smirk on his muzzle as he heard these remarks behind him. \n\n\"How the hell did you get to Japan?\" \n\n\"Why'd the hell you go to Japan?\"\n\n\"Show off.\"\n\nTo counter these, Kaji turned in his seat; his wings shuddering with internal rage as he said, \"Do you really think that these wings on my back are only for decoration? I can fly, idiots. And having some elements to use to travel faster helps.\" Lightning arches between clumps of fur on his neck ruff before he looked back at the students. \"And, the scenery here sucks greatly,\" muttered the draolf as he looked back at the bald eagle that was his teacher. \"Sorry about that... slight temper problem today.\"\n\n\"I've noticed. But, let's see your photos first to see if they redeem your temper,\" chuckled the avian as he walked over towards the smartboard. He twirled the memory card between his fingers for a moment as he waited for the board to warm up with a rather faint hum; but it was noticeable enough to calm the chatter in the room. It's great to have animalistic hearing from time to time especially when the teachers want to shut the class up. \"Now, first we are going to view the photos,\" explained the teacher, and then the class chimed in with the 'we know, we know' droll of \"And when we will critique the technique and offer advice to get better.\" \n\nThen as the voices died down, behind Kaji he heard this \"Not like he needs any, suck up.\" \n\nA mumble floated out of Kaji's mouth akin to the likes of, \"It helps when you have a passion for it, and not doing this class for an easy A.\"\n\nA low growl echoed from the student behind him, and then was stopped by the collective gasp of awe and amazement. Kaji on the other hand was silent as he rested his head on a loosely balled fist, his crimson eyes looking at the smart board which now presented one of many pictures of the trees in Japan. This one in particular had a tree with cherry blossoms falling from it, a path bending into the background as fog drifted through it. All of it in pristine detail. The same process went on for a good hour of the class; look at picture, hear the oohs and aahs, then repeat. \n\nWhen it came time to actually critique the photos, Kaji sat up and heard no advice for him to get better; he was the top student in the class for a reason and even the teacher didn't have much to say besides 'Good job' and 'Can't wait to see the next set.' It was then that Kaji rose his hand and asked to head to the Computer lab. The avian teacher nodded and Kaji stood up next to his desk; his camera bag looped around his neck as he hoisted his backpack up onto his shoulder. \"And, I'll be taking these as well,\" said the draolf with a chuckle as he pulled the card out of the smart board. \"Need to upload these still,\" came the reason as he walked out of the room; his tail betraying his otherwise apathetic demeanor since he was happy that people actually liked his photos. \n\nHis claws clicked against the linoleum floor, echoing into the empty halls that he passed as he headed for the computer lab. A low hum came from the teen as he swayed his shoulders to the music in his head, his tail going the opposite direction of his shoulder before he started to dance in a way down towards the computer lab. The one thing that stopped him from dancing was a restrained murr coming from the background, and the draolf stopped to look behind him. And even though he was hiding, the glow from the fire on his body betrayed him as Kaji said, \"Head back to class, Leon. And stop watching my ass.\"\n\nThere was a whine as the firefox peeked out from the corner of the hallway. His ears folded back as he said, \"But it's such a nice one. How can I not look at it.\" A pout formed on his muzzle as the draolf crossed his arms and rolled his eyes slightly. \"Besides, I heard about your punishment after school. And guess who volunteered to make sure you run those three miles.\" If he could, he'd be sprouting horns at the moment. \n\n\"Let me guess, you? Because it's no surprise there. You're always trying to get me to follow you onto your 'special' trail in the woods,\" chuckled Kaji as he looked back at the firefox and said, \"One last time, Leon. Head to class. I'll talk to you after school.\" \n\nHis grin brightened and then he said, \"See ya later, fluffbutt,\" in a bright tone as he headed back to his classroom; a skip to his step and a sway to his tail as the tip vanished behind the corner of the wall. \n\nThe draolf shook his head, and then turned around to head back to the computer lab. \"I'm already dreading my punishment and it's not even third period yet.\" He brought up a hand and rubbed between his eyes as a sigh of exasperation came from him. \"If there is a god, he must hate me.\"\n\nLittle happened on the last leg to the computer lab other than a few teachers asking where he had been and why he was going to the computer lab. A glance was given to one of the newer teachers as he just walked by him; towering over the lynx by a good two feet as the draolf walked into the lab. The room was dark, as a lab should be, the light of the screens illuminating the room enough for people to move around without bumping into things. And there were also students in the lab as well; engorged in the Internet as they made up excuses about work every time a teacher passed by. \n\nThe lab was split up into two systems. One half was PCs and the other half was Macs. Each of them at the top of the line, or as close as the school could get and there were some computers on both sides that were inadequate, forcing the students that got there late to use one of them. Kaji sat down at one of the PCs, and used a claw on his foot to turn the computer on as he dug around in his backpack for a notebook and a pencil. With photography being one of his best subjects at the moment, and the staple of his Graphic Design major; he has to do good in it or else all his learning would be for naught. A glance up at the computer screen and then another lean to the other side of his chair; the data chip was inserted into the computer and then the draolf leaned back into the air for a second. In the relative silence of the computer lab, his chair creaked slightly louder than normal as he leaned back to stretch his arms over his head. \n\nA soft ping from the speakers brought the hybrid's attention back towards the monitor as he started to sift through the photos. Picking out ones that he liked the most and writing down the details about them. What file name they had, what f/stop they were shot at, the aperture, and anything else that he deemed worthy to write. \n\nThe tapping of the other keyboards in the room where so common that Kaji ignored them as he clicked lethargically at the next button on the photo file slide show that he had going. Sadly, he was also ignoring the sounds of footsteps in the room as he was engrossed so much into his work and he didn't notice that his friend was walking up behind him. The dragon leaned closer over the draolf's shoulder and let out a small snort to get his attention. When that proved fatal; he commented on the photos. \"Wasn't I there when you took that?\"\n\nThe draolf jumped up out of his seat at the sudden comment, his arms flailing a bit as the journal and pencil was tossed up into the air. He fell to the floor with a cushioned thump as Dalaraga stood there with the pencil and journal in his hands. \"And I see you've been working on your sneaking skills, Dala,\" grumbled Kaji as he stood back up; brushing the side of his vest down to be normal before he extended his hand to get the journal and pencil back. \"And no, you weren't there. That is Japan. I don't think I brought you with me.\" \n\nThe dragon looked back at the computer screen and shrugged slightly, \"Didn't think so. Never been to Japan.\" He glanced back at the mutt and grinned slightly as he said, \"So? How's life treatin' ya? I only get to see you when you come in here when I'm in here. And it's getting more and more sparse.\" He handed the items over before crossed his arms over his chest and shifted his stance to be a bit more comfortable. \n\nThe mutt rolled his eyes and then said, \"I've been busy, alright? I've gone through a bit of a rough patch that's just gone past and I'm getting back into the swing of things.\" Even though that Kaji's there for his friends, there are things that he won't tell them. Well, not the entire thing. \n\nDala relaxed his arms, letting them fall to the side as he took a step forward; placing a hand on Kaji's shoulder. \"Bro, you know you can talk to me right? I am here for you just as you were to me.\" \n\nKaji glanced back at Dala and shrugged off his hand; letting out a sigh as he set the journal and pencil down on the seat. \"It was Karadroth. A week or so ago; he had left me for another canine. He said that we were going too fast.\" He brought a hand up and rubbed at his upper arm for a moment before he let out a small laugh. \"Good thing is that he came back to me after he saw that the other mongrel was a prick and needed to be dumped.\" His rubbing changed to a grip on his arm, and his hackles rose up slightly. His fur rose up slightly as a charge built up; but it dissipated quickly as he looked back at Dala. \"I know that he loves me, but... I'm worried about the ex.\" \n\nDala took a step back at the rising of the fur, even if Kaji is covered in a black pelt; it's still easy to see when a charge is building up. He clears his throat and then smiles, \"It's probably best not to worry. You and him are as close as anyone that I've seen at this place. You'll weather it perfectly.\" He wrapped an arm around his brother's shoulders and laughed. \"Now, calm down and get back to work. I'd rather not have you fail classes over this.\" He brought his other around and hugged Kaji close as the draolf just leaned into it and sighed. \n\n\"Thanks, Dala. Almost lost control for a moment there,\" said Kaji with a small chuckle at the end as he hugged his friend and then let go. \"Now head back to your work, you need to stay up to keep that scholarship.\" He smiled slightly and then slipped out of his friend's grasp and gave him a small nudge towards his computer. \"I'll see you around, Dala. Don't worry about me too much.\"\n\nThe dragon smiled and gave Kaji a ruffle of his headfur, \"You're a nut. But you're still a brother.\" He gave a small wave and started to walk away with the words, \"Be sure to catch me up on what you're going through. It's been a short while.\" \n\nThe draolf gave a small chuckle as he then sat down in the seat of his computer and woke it back up from its slumber. A buzzer rang out through the school and Kaji growled to himself; his grip on the mouse shaking as he then exhaled softly and started to pack up. He put his journal into his backpack and hoisted it up onto his shoulder. His pants pocket started to vibrate and he picked it up; arching a brow as to who would be calling him at this time of day. When he picked the phone out of his pocket, he flipped it open with a flick of a claw and he just smiled. It was a text from Karadroth. \n\nI'll be seeing you after classes, hon. Going to have your favorite waiting for youy when you get home. Been thinking about you all day. My snuggly dwaolfy. \n\nKaji let out a small chuckle; putting a hand on the bicep of his other arm as he looked down at his phone. It was always things like this that brought a smile to his face throughout the school day. And it helped having a mate that did most of his classes in the morning and late night. Leaving the evening to themselves. He sent a text back and then started to head to his next class which by a shot of irony was actually Track and field. \n\n",

Kaji shrugged slightly; wasn&#039;t the first time he got in trouble and he just went back to taking notes with the now chorus of snickering and chuckles echoing from the sides of the room. <br /><br />Time passed by with the usual class antics and the eventual handing out of the homework which caused whining and complaining to elicit from the students. Though Kaji didn&#039;t see the point of it, the whining never worked except on substitutes that were completely new to the job. &quot;Do I get to share my side of things, or am I going to have to do extra work,&quot; asked Kaji, his voice somber and his gaze slightly apathetic as he looked up at the white tigeress that was his teacher. <br /><br />&quot;I&#039;d rather not have to give you extra homework as I&#039;m sure your other classes are piling it onto you as well,&quot; said the teacher as she sat down on the edge of her desk; her arms folding under her chest as a scoff came from the draolf. &quot; But, as I do have to punish you somehow. And that I am also your Track Instructor.&quot; A sly grin slided onto her muzzle as Kaji looked over at her; fright glistening into those crimson eyes of his. &quot;Three miles, on the track. Five &#039;o&#039; clock. Let&#039;s see if you can beat your old record.&quot;<br /><br />Kaji clenched his teeth at that, and then he gave a rather annoyed sigh as his shoulders slumped. &quot;Alright, five &#039;o&#039; clock it is.&quot; He ran a hand through the fur on his head before he picked up his bag for his next class and he walked out of the room where one of his friends was standing outside of the room. &quot; What do you want, Reina?&quot; grumbled the draolf towards the bunny. <br /><br />&quot;Just wondering what was taking you so long,&quot; said Reina with a smile, then a giggle escaped her lips. &quot; So, what&#039;d ya get stuck with? Five pages of math work? Helping her after school? What?&quot; She was about a head and a half shorter than Kaji, though the ears made up for most of it when they weren&#039;t held back by a tie to stay out of her face. <br /><br />He let out another sigh before he said, &quot;I have to run three miles after school. But first I need to get to Photography. See ya at lunch?&quot; He glanced down towards the burnt orange furred bunny who smiled and nodded before heading off towards her next class. Talking to her always brought a faint smile onto Kaji&#039;s face before he went off towards his next class, taking the stairs instead of leaping up to the second floor like he usually did. He just wasn&#039;t feeling too energetic today. He muttered to himself as he walked up the stairs, sliding in and out of crowds like a bird would fly through a forest of trees. <br /><br />A strong shove into his shoulder made him stop walking; his balance was good enough to keep himself from tumbling into another student before he looked back at the fur who pushed him. &quot;Haven&#039;t you teased me enough through High School, Brian? Or is it your mission in life to make sure that I&#039;m as miserable as can be.&quot; His gaze leveled with the gryphon as he took a step down to have the crowd part around him. <br /><br />&quot;Look, Mutt. If I ever hear that you were threatening to torch my friends again, I&#039;m going to find you and make you eat dirt,&quot; sneered the hybrid back at Kaji as he then started to storm down the stairs; leaving Kaji to just blink in dumbfoundment. He shook his head, muttering to himself once more about stupid avians before he headed towards his class. Which, ironically, was taught by an avian; a bald eagle to be precise. <br /><br />&quot;Ah, Kaji. Nice to see you,&quot; said the eagle, his chest puffing up as one of his better students walked into the room right as the buzzer rang throughout the school to signify that class had indeed started and for and stragglers to get to class then. Being one of the few teachers who wasn&#039;t a strict dictator in the class, he actually does ask the class how they are doing. &quot; So, how were your guys&#039; weekends? Hopefully you have something to show us today.&quot; The edges of his beak turned upwards into a grin as he looked around the room; a few students averted his gaze as if they hadn&#039;t taken any photos lately and they didn&#039;t want him to choose them. Slowly a varied amount of hands raised up into the air, but only one of them had a datachip in his hands; the memory card to his camera. <br /><br />&quot;Here ya go, I took some photos of the cherry blossoms in Japan. Though it might be a bit atmospheric,&quot; said Kaji with a small smirk on his muzzle as he heard these remarks behind him. <br /><br />&quot;How the hell did you get to Japan?&quot; <br /><br />&quot;Why&#039;d the hell you go to Japan?&quot;<br /><br />&quot;Show off.&quot;<br /><br />To counter these, Kaji turned in his seat; his wings shuddering with internal rage as he said, &quot;Do you really think that these wings on my back are only for decoration? I can fly, idiots. And having some elements to use to travel faster helps.&quot; Lightning arches between clumps of fur on his neck ruff before he looked back at the students. &quot; And, the scenery here sucks greatly,&quot; muttered the draolf as he looked back at the bald eagle that was his teacher. &quot;Sorry about that... slight temper problem today.&quot;<br /><br />&quot;I&#039;ve noticed. But, let&#039;s see your photos first to see if they redeem your temper,&quot; chuckled the avian as he walked over towards the smartboard. He twirled the memory card between his fingers for a moment as he waited for the board to warm up with a rather faint hum; but it was noticeable enough to calm the chatter in the room. It&#039;s great to have animalistic hearing from time to time especially when the teachers want to shut the class up. &quot; Now, first we are going to view the photos,&quot; explained the teacher, and then the class chimed in with the &#039;we know, we know&#039; droll of &quot; And when we will critique the technique and offer advice to get better.&quot; <br /><br />Then as the voices died down, behind Kaji he heard this &quot; Not like he needs any, suck up.&quot; <br /><br />A mumble floated out of Kaji&#039;s mouth akin to the likes of, &quot; It helps when you have a passion for it, and not doing this class for an easy A.&quot;<br /><br />A low growl echoed from the student behind him, and then was stopped by the collective gasp of awe and amazement. <br /><br />When it came time to actually critique the photos, Kaji sat up and heard no advice for him to get better; he was the top student in the class for a reason and even the teacher didn&#039;t have much to say besides &#039;Good job&#039; and &#039;Can&#039;t wait to see the next set.&#039; It was then that Kaji rose his hand and asked to head to the Computer lab. The avian teacher nodded and Kaji stood up next to his desk; his camera bag looped around his neck as he hoisted his backpack up onto his shoulder. &quot; And, I&#039;ll be taking these as well,&quot; said the draolf with a chuckle as he pulled the card out of the smart board. &quot;Need to upload these still,&quot; came the reason as he walked out of the room; his tail betraying his otherwise apathetic demeanor since he was happy that people actually liked his photos. <br /><br />His claws clicked against the linoleum floor, echoing into the empty halls that he passed as he headed for the computer lab. And even though he was hiding, the glow from the fire on his body betrayed him as Kaji said, &quot;Head back to class, Leon. And stop watching my ass.&quot;<br /><br />There was a whine as the firefox peeked out from the corner of the hallway. His ears folded back as he said, &quot; But it&#039;s such a nice one. How can I not look at it.&quot; A pout formed on his muzzle as the draolf crossed his arms and rolled his eyes slightly. &quot;Besides, I heard about your punishment after school. And guess who volunteered to make sure you run those three miles.&quot; If he could, he&#039;d be sprouting horns at the moment. <br /><br />&quot;Let me guess, you? Because it&#039;s no surprise there. You&#039;re always trying to get me to follow you onto your &#039;special&#039; trail in the woods,&quot; chuckled Kaji as he looked back at the firefox and said, &quot; One last time, Leon. Head to class. I&#039;ll talk to you after school.&quot; <br /><br />His grin brightened and then he said, &quot;See ya later, fluffbutt,&quot; in a bright tone as he headed back to his classroom; a skip to his step and a sway to his tail as the tip vanished behind the corner of the wall. <br /><br />The draolf shook his head, and then turned around to head back to the computer lab. &quot;I&#039;m already dreading my punishment and it&#039;s not even third period yet.&quot; He brought up a hand and rubbed between his eyes as a sigh of exasperation came from him. &quot; If there is a god, he must hate me.&quot;<br /><br />Little happened on the last leg to the computer lab other than a few teachers asking where he had been and why he was going to the computer lab. <br /><br />The lab was split up into two systems. <br /><br />A soft ping from the speakers brought the hybrid&#039;s attention back towards the monitor as he started to sift through the photos. Picking out ones that he liked the most and writing down the details about them. What file name they had, what f/stop they were shot at, the aperture, and anything else that he deemed worthy to write. <br /><br />The tapping of the other keyboards in the room where so common that Kaji ignored them as he clicked lethargically at the next button on the photo file slide show that he had going. Sadly, he was also ignoring the sounds of footsteps in the room as he was engrossed so much into his work and he didn&#039;t notice that his friend was walking up behind him. The dragon leaned closer over the draolf&#039;s shoulder and let out a small snort to get his attention. When that proved fatal; he commented on the photos. &quot;Wasn&#039;t I there when you took that?&quot;<br /><br />The draolf jumped up out of his seat at the sudden comment, his arms flailing a bit as the journal and pencil was tossed up into the air. He fell to the floor with a cushioned thump as Dalaraga stood there with the pencil and journal in his hands. &quot; And I see you&#039;ve been working on your sneaking skills, Dala,&quot; grumbled Kaji as he stood back up; brushing the side of his vest down to be normal before he extended his hand to get the journal and pencil back. &quot; And no, you weren&#039;t there. That is Japan. I don&#039;t think I brought you with me.&quot; <br /><br />The dragon looked back at the computer screen and shrugged slightly, &quot;Didn&#039;t think so. Never been to Japan.&quot; He glanced back at the mutt and grinned slightly as he said, &quot; So? How&#039;s life treatin&#039; ya? I only get to see you when you come in here when I&#039;m in here. And it&#039;s getting more and more sparse.&quot; He handed the items over before crossed his arms over his chest and shifted his stance to be a bit more comfortable. <br /><br />The mutt rolled his eyes and then said, &quot;I&#039;ve been busy, alright? I&#039;ve gone through a bit of a rough patch that&#039;s just gone past and I&#039;m getting back into the swing of things.&quot; Even though that Kaji&#039;s there for his friends, there are things that he won&#039;t tell them. Well, not the entire thing. <br /><br />Dala relaxed his arms, letting them fall to the side as he took a step forward; placing a hand on Kaji&#039;s shoulder. &quot;Bro, you know you can talk to me right? I am here for you just as you were to me.&quot; <br /><br />Kaji glanced back at Dala and shrugged off his hand; letting out a sigh as he set the journal and pencil down on the seat. &quot; It was Karadroth. A week or so ago; he had left me for another canine. He said that we were going too fast.&quot; He brought a hand up and rubbed at his upper arm for a moment before he let out a small laugh. &quot;Good thing is that he came back to me after he saw that the other mongrel was a prick and needed to be dumped.&quot; His rubbing changed to a grip on his arm, and his hackles rose up slightly. His fur rose up slightly as a charge built up; but it dissipated quickly as he looked back at Dala. &quot;I know that he loves me, but... I&#039;m worried about the ex.&quot; <br /><br />Dala took a step back at the rising of the fur, even if Kaji is covered in a black pelt; it&#039;s still easy to see when a charge is building up. He clears his throat and then smiles, &quot;It&#039;s probably best not to worry. You and him are as close as anyone that I&#039;ve seen at this place. You&#039;ll weather it perfectly.&quot; He wrapped an arm around his brother&#039;s shoulders and laughed. &quot; Now, calm down and get back to work. I&#039;d rather not have you fail classes over this.&quot; He brought his other around&nbsp;&nbsp;and hugged Kaji close as the draolf just leaned into it and sighed. <br /><br />&quot;Thanks, Dala. Almost lost control for a moment there,&quot; said Kaji with a small chuckle at the end as he hugged his friend and then let go. &quot; Now head back to your work, you need to stay up to keep that scholarship.&quot; He smiled slightly and then slipped out of his friend&#039;s grasp and gave him a small nudge towards his computer. &quot;I&#039;ll see you around, Dala. Don&#039;t worry about me too much.&quot;<br /><br />The dragon smiled and gave Kaji a ruffle of his headfur, &quot;You&#039;re a nut. But you&#039;re still a brother.&quot; He gave a small wave and started to walk away with the words, &quot;Be sure to catch me up on what you&#039;re going through. It&#039;s been a short while.&quot; <br /><br />The draolf gave a small chuckle as he then sat down in the seat of his computer and woke it back up from its slumber. <br /><br />I&#039;ll be seeing you after classes, hon. Going to have your favorite waiting for youy when you get home. Been thinking about you all day. My snuggly dwaolfy. <br /><br />Kaji let out a small chuckle; putting a hand on the bicep of his other arm as he looked down at his phone. It was always things like this that brought a smile to his face throughout the school day. And it helped having a mate that did most of his classes in the morning and late night. Leaving the evening to themselves. He sent a text back and then started to head to his next class which by a shot of irony was actually Track and field. <br /><br /></span>",
