Packing quickly the necessary to survive, the family planned to run up to Utica, before going further to the west to Thabraca, as far as possible. \nBut things didn't go as planned : as they were seeking a shelter from an upcoming storm, a troop of soldiers, looking after possible fugitives, came across their path. Struck by panic and the urge to save their life, the pigeon family ran away as fast as they could...but the elder son couldn't make it.
