So of course, this was a shitty year, and I'm not talking about celebrities deaths ('cause I don't care much for celebrities).\nIn February, I had a massive breakdown regarding art (explaining the lack of art in March) that I still haven't recovered from: I realized that I had no goal, objective or reason to pursue art for myself, and my motivation to create went down to abysmal levels. I quickly lost all fun I had in making a new piece, as well as any appreciation for my own work. To this day, I can say out of everything I drew this year, I'd only keep a small handful of them at best.\nI hated art. I couldn't see myself in it anymore, because I had no reason to stay.\n\nI still feel that way, and frankly I only stuck around to get commissions so I could financially support myself and my beloved shark dork.\n\nI have yet to find a reason for me to continue drawing, a calling of any kind, but it's not what I want out of 2017.\nSince I am still not allowed to get a job with those pesky immigration laws, I want to finally find a decent source of income, at least enough to support my sweetheart during his college years. I want to be more aggressive in my research for an opportunity, and hope that something will finally come up. Living over a year and a half with no income is awfully difficult.\n\nI know this is a lot of negativity, but hey, I have no reason to sugarcoat a year that was a pain in the ass for literally everyone.\nHere's to hope 2017 will be kinder to us.
