  "description": "Sandy had heard of a strange portal that appeared suddenly in an area of Deadland popular with \"tourists\" and Bounty Hunters so he decided to go see for himself without telling Toxy Snowy or Kevin. When he found it several \"tourists\" were running around and screaming something about how their friends were eaten by the portal who was laughing heartily at their misery. They finally left after cursing the portal and vowing to return with help. This made the portal laugh even harder and it was still laughing until it spotted Sandy approaching slowly.  The Portal smiled a smile Sandy had seen several creatures smile when they thought they could trick him and said in an oily fake voice\n\"Well hello there. And who might you be?\n\"Sandy\" said the little squirrel cautiously. \n\"Sandy. That's a cute name\" and Sandy disliked the portal even more because he HATED being patronized for his name \"You're not like the others...do you live here?\"\nSandy's tail twitched and said \"Yeah...me'n my friends\"\nThe Portal's 'eyes' widened \"There are more of you?\" \nSandy smiled slightly \"Yeah...lots more!\" \nThe Portal seemed to contemplate this for a few moments then suddenly it's expression changed completely and it's 'eyes' got wide in another look Sandy knew even better: the look that beings coming to Deadland get when they realize just WHERE they are and WHO's home they've invaded. At that same moment Sandy heard a sound from behind him and he turned just in time to see Toxy with his ears up *A VERY VERY VERY BAD sign for anyone or anyTHING facing him!!* and Snowy making a slow slashing motion across his throat with his eyes glowing bright blue and his teeth bared. The Portal's flame died abruptly and it \"coughed\" and said in a VERY nervous voice \"Well I'd love to stay and talk more about your friends and your home Sandy but I've got several other worlds I need to visit so I must take my leave. Good by!\" and with that it vanished as if it had never been. Toxy came up to Sandy, his ears now down where they usually are and put his hands on the little squirrel's shoulders \"Making new friends Sands?\" Sandy giggled\" I don't think he wanted to be my friend Toxy\" Snowy snorted \"Ya think?\" Sandy giggled again and hugged Snowy \"Nope\" and the three chuckled as Toxy said \"You're learning Sands.\" and the three slipped into a gateway to Oasis just as 'tourists' returned and started looking for the now vanished Portal. \n\n\nThe moral of this story : Don't Patronize Sandy!  \n\nAnother INKtober / DRAWloween sketch i didn't get to post.
