DON'T DO STUPID THINGS!!!
That's basically it. Though most would consider the ultimate adherence to that rule NOT going to Deadland at ALL there are ALways those who do for a great many reasons but this can also be condensed down to you guessed it:
MONEY!!
If you have the money to spend you can make back EASILY (well that's a matter of perspective :D )100x your investment. But ONLY if you follow that ONE rule stated above which, for some people, is just IMPOSSIBLE to do no matter WHAT the reward!
Case in point.
Kevin was asked by Toxy to take a group of archeologists into The Burning City of Babylon (

Reemphasizing THE ONE rule, they were not allowed to go INTO the City proper unless accompanied by Kevin no matter WHAT and they were absolutely FORBIDDEN to take ANY pictures of ANYTHING INSIDE the City Gates! Kevin could not stress that one enough! The Guardians of Babylon were THE nastiest and most viscous of any of Deadlands Wraiths and they WOULD attack you without a seconds hesitation even WITH Kevin there and in spite of the deal they worked out with Toxy. And Kevin would not lift a finger to help them if they decided to break any of those rules. They all agreed and, 2 days later as the trip prepared to leave at their appointed time, Kevin almost thought they would get away without incident!
Almost!
As the group was backing away their equipment and belongings one of the 'tourists' the most annoying and loudest complainer, decided to get some 'exclusive' pictures of Babylon and be the first to do so,slipped away and found a small side entrance. Since they had seen none of the "Legendary Babylon Wraiths" this guy figured that like ALL Deadland Wraith they were just stories to scare people who weren't as "enlightened" and "smart" as him away from all the cool places! But since he didn't know what to expect he drew his Beretta just in case. He managed to get one picture of the entrance itself before a blood curdling SHREEK deafened him and alerted the others who came running just in time to see the leader of the Babylon Wraiths himself slam his clawed foot THROUGH the man's chest and back and crush his head in one huge clawed hand like an eggshell. Before the others could react the air was filled with angry Babylon Wraiths hovering above the them with claws just inches from their faces.
Kevin sighed and shook his head..then approached Ar'ee the leader and talked with him for a few minuets. After a few ragefilled glances from Ar'ee and a few chuckles from both him AND Kevin the two hugged and Ar'ee and the other Babylon Wraiths flew off, but not before Ar'ee gave Kevin a playful swat on his cute rear with his tail. Kevin's blush was VERY evident as he returned to the group, and his mood on the return trip was much softer...as though he had something to look forward to once this was over! :D
A little follow up story to the earlier picture to accompany another picture I inked and colored after I liked the way it turned out, especially since it was another stupid person learning far to late what happens when you break THE RULE! (as it's going to be known)! :D
