Ivan is a Pit Fighter from another universe who married his blacksmith Donna when he was just starting out. They have several children but the only one they have with them now is Kristopher their youngest, Ivan and his family had to flee their home when, being undefeated in over a 1000 battles and the apex fighter of that world, he refused to throw a fight for the ruler of a rival kingdom. A wizard friendly to him was preparing his escape when his castle was stormed and he was killed. But before he died he managed to set a spell to locate and take Ivan and his family to the first world that they could survive on. Of course you know where they ended up! :D
Ivan, after a bit of acclimation(thanks to a certain green bunny who welcomed him and his family) he found a nice place IN Deadland to make his home and has been living happly with his wife Donna, a very respected Pit Fighter in her own right, and their youngest son Kirstopher, taking the odd job, fighting in local Pit and Bare Knuckle fights(still undefeated) and just enjoying "retirement". Donna also keeps up with her blacksmithing, teaching Kris her secrets which have fighters seeking her out from pretty much everywhere while Dad teaches him the in's and out's of fighting, that is when he's not playing with the local Wrath brothers who live near by, Armie and Giddeon. Ivan, while he has no problem with his son's playing with the brothers in PRIVATE is VERY old school when it comes to public "displays" and usually shoos the brothers away when they get TOO "public" with their "play" with his son. Donna is much more layed back with things like that but thinks it would be a good idea not to draw undue attention to themselves when outside their safe area. Not that Kirstopher and the brothers couldn't easly take care of any threat, she just doesn't want too many "visitors" finding them and wandering back to their home while she's working, she HATES distractions when she's in the middle of creating something and cleaning up excess blood and guts takes a LONG time!
Needless to say the little scamps find ANY opportunity to tease Ivan in a good matured way (he does like the brothers and has "entertained" them himself on occasion, as has Donna), such as at this Family Portrait to be sent back to his children on the First anniversary of their arrival in Deadland! ;D
