Shown here is a small one, maybe a year old but still big enough to dwarf the tanker converted into a cruse liner taking sightseers on a trip through The Frozen Ocean. Usually ignored by these leviathans of the ocean this ship of fools ventured too close to an Iron Fin feeding breach(Iron Fins not only breach but can fly for short distances of 3 to 8 miles at a time depending on their age and size) and will probably not live to see the next day if this one decides to NOT take off but drop down and swollow the ship whole! Fortunately for this group the Iron Fin did take to the skys and they were able to escape with nothing more than a few drowned and frost bitten tourists.
Iron Fin's can reach leingth's of over 2 miles and live for 20 years. They feed mostly on the large low orbit dragons and Space Worms that dwell beyond our atmosphere, but have been known, especially when they're young, to eat stupid ships of hunters who venture out for their organic nuclear power center and their anti-grav flight organs. Because they dwell so deep in the Frozen Ocean and are extremely aggressive when young, mating or hunting very little is actually known about them. What IS known about them is that they seem to be evolving into something new..but what that is has only been seen in a few, quickly taken photo's on video equipment belonging to scientists who were never seen again.
