But DAMN what a last few months it's been. If it hasn't been friends visiting from out of town it's been THE most bizarre weather we've had in a LONG time, bringing with it a nasty bout of weather related aliments and just sucking my creativity away like a starving vampire! I THINK it's starting to settle down but every time I say that it proves me wrong and starts again. *sigh* Oh well...enough bitching.
Updating: Two commissions still pending and ALMOST done..and a gift pic or two to work on..and that's about it.
Next month I SHOULD *crosses fingers* be able to start on some new commissions and HOPEFULLY, HOPEFULLY, get some comic commissions started cause I REALLY want to try those. We'll see.
In the meantime I've been tightening up some of my inking skills working on old sketches and nailing down what way I want to DO my comics that doesn't kill my eyes. I THINK I've got it figured out so I'll be posting a couple experiments to show what I've been doing on that front. Hope ya like'm. :)
As for THIS sketchbook..
mostly just work on various stuff to break the creative / artist block that came with assorted mentioned above weather related ailments.
There's a figured started that might be finished, a couple of characters without names at the moment but who will get them when they decide to tell me what they are, another nameless character who seems to be having an argument with a MERK about personal space, said discussion ending they way they almost always do when one of Toxy's family is involved * :D *, a Tentacle Face looking for a victim and finally,
Jake rarely takes days off from working at The Slut Hut but when he does he does NOT want to be disturbed unless it's from someone he's expecting or one of Toxy's friends wanting to play. Since he's a boy of few words and very inventive he came up with a way to get his message across without having to engage in conversation with potential 'problem people'. Still, stupid will be stupid so he has other means to help you 'get the message'. It's usually a light poke with his stinger, just something to tell you to 'move along'. This works about 80% of the time. A second sting will be a bit deeper and in a MUCH more sensitive place..and finally, for that magic .01% who just can't figure out how how to chew bubblegum and BREATH at the same time, a STING! This results in much thrashing on the ground in screaming pain followed by being reduced to a soft green powder that blows away on the breeze. It's actually fun to watch if you've got the stomach for it. :D
