Been in bit of a flunk and finally...got some inspiration again. I've been working on Kh-Ai's bio and, had these flashes of scenes come through my head as I typed so, I ended up doing this. Was going to colour, but felt this had more impact. \n\nKh-Ai was born human, living in a small area near Quseer, Egypt with his parents and elder sister. But times were hard...and their family were struggling to keep food on the table. In desperate need of funds, his parents...opted to actually sell their 8 year old son to passing through slave traders, for money. Having no say in the matter didn't stop Kh-Ai from crying and struggling to go back as the traders pulled him away, binding him in the back of their wagon then setting off to continue their journey to Cairo. On the way, Kh-Ai was beaten into submission so, when they put him up for auction in Cairo, he stayed still and quiet, neck still red from the slave marks they'd branded into his neck. Kh-Ai was sold from one master to another for several years, threatened with each new one through whatever method they choose right up until he was about 17. At that time, he had been bartered off to older grim looking man...his name was Aaheru...and he wasn't qualmed to threaten Kh-Ai's very life for any little slip up...going as far to threaten to inject him with the green bubbling unknown substance Aaheru had found...
