It was made using 3D vectors with high bloom for the body parts and a highly exploded vertex for the head. It stood up rather well to the test of time but the lack of ability to tell which way the character was looking was a major issue. Since it contained no polygons there was no way of drawing a face on it and the solid black of the vector program meant that when in shadow the character would disappear completely as there was no polygons to have any shading.\n\nCaptain Stick was both a vector skeleton and a low poly model. His protruding nose made it easy to see what he was looking at and his narrow head seriously reduced the polygon count that a spherical head would take up. Of course the head was too narrow to apply a face to it but for the purpose of body movements rather than facial expressions it stood up well.
