Occasionally he’d give a small barely noticeable twitch. Gran kept telling him stories from he was little and a few about Eric too. JJ, Julia, and Hennery Listened and told there own stories as well in the hopes something would wake him up. They knew Michael wasn’t back yet and were starting to wonder where he was. JJ was about to go searching when his phone started to ring. Without even looking he pressed the answer button “Hello?” “Hey JJ it’s uncle Leroy” “Oh Uncle Leroy” JJ gasped “What’s up?” “Is your mom around by chance?” He asked “ I’ve tried calling him but I can’t get through” “Oh…Yeah that’s because we’re at the hospital…” JJ paused and took a breath “Dad had a heart attack, and he’s in a coma right now” “Oh no” Leroy gasped ”Is..is he going to be alright?” “We don’t know” JJ said honestly “Doctor’s say he’s got a fighting chance but…it’s just hard right now you know?” “Yeah…I understand” Leroy said softly “Well in case I don’t get a hold of him could you tell him I got engaged last night” “Oh! That’s awesome, Congrats!” JJ smiled everyones ears perked and JJ held up a finger. “Thanks! I wanted your mom and dad to meet her when they get a chance….just to make sure she’s good for me” Leroy explained. “Yeah I hear ya. I’ll pass the message along and…” he turned to everyone “Uncle Leroy got engaged” Everyone gave a small cheer which Leroy heard and smiled. “Thanks everyone” Leroy shouted from the phone “JJ I’ll let you go I’m gonna keep trying for your mom” “Okay uncle” JJ said ”I might go out and find him too he;s been away for a bit” “Alright bye bye” Leroy said before hanging up. JJ hung up as well stowing his phone in his pocket. He was about to get up when the door knocked and opened. It was Tim JJ stood up “Where’s mom?” “He’s fine” Tim said calmly “He’s actually in a meeting with my brother Thomas, the chief Pharmacist There’s been a stunning and rather amusing turn of events. I’ll have him tell you later, but I was hoping I could borrow Your sister and future brother-in-law?” Julia and David perked up. “What for?” David asked. “Well I set up a meeting with Brienda, our maternity doctor. So you could ask any questions or get some real information about the pregnancy” Julia smiled and looked at David who smiled back and stood up extending a hand, Julia took it and stood up. They followed Tim out of the room. JJ smiled a little as they left, However the smile faded a little as he remembered the conversation he had with her before entering the room. The wolf hybrid turned and looked at his little brother who was still looking a little bummed. He had an idea. JJ turned to Fern “Hey hon, could you man the fort here for a little bit? The two left the room with JJ leading the way, He remembered there was chapel close by and figured that’d be a good spot to talk in private. He found the Chapel and peeked inside. It appeared to be empty so he looked down at Hennery. “In here.” “Huh?” Hennery stared at him JJ motioned Hennery to follow him inside. Hennery followed him inside the small dimly lit chapel. There was no one in there save for him and his older brother. Hennery was a lil suspect of what JJ’s intentions were. That is until he sat at a pew, and beaconed him over, Hennery moved over and sat beside him before he could ask what was up, JJ spoke softly “Julia told me about last night” Hennery looked art him and him then looked down. “Don’t be mad at me please’ “What?” JJ gasped in shock looking hurt and horrified “Why would I be mad at you lil man?” “I don’t know” Hennery said sadly “I said some stuff last night and, I was sacred of loosing daddy and everything just…came out” Even in the dim light he could see his little brother’s hurt and pain. After sighting a candle each they made there way out of the chapel and back to Jim’s room. When they returned Julia and David had already returned and were talking to grandma, Eric Fern and Henry about what they had learned and figured out. When they sat down Julia related the information to JJ and Hennery. Even the part of it being ok to have sex for another week or so then it needs to be put on hold. He explained it to Grandma Francine and Eric who smiled. He looked at jim with the same smile and shook his head “He’s going to have a hard time believing Sanderson and I are on speaking terms and friendly towards each other.” There was a collective murmurer of agreement from everyone. Soon the conversation turned to everyone retelling there day. Everyone including Michael was happy to see JJ and Hennery mending there bridges. Julia and David retold there brief experience with Brienda and what they found out. Michael commented on how him and jim cut things off after three weeks or so of pregnancy with each of them for safety.even Gran even shared her experience with Jim and Eric too and offered her wisdom. Time etched on as soon it was approaching Dinner time, and the conversation switched to plans.for everyone. JJ and Fern want to go home and relive Fern’s parents for the night, Hennery was going with, Gran and Eric was going home with Julia David and Henry. Michael didn’t want to go unless someone was here to watch over Jim. They racked there brains to try to figure that out. “Oh shit” Henry smacked his forehead “My mom! I haven’t called her and told her yet I’m sure she’d be willing if I explain things” “Give it a try” JJ said with a smile Henry pulled out his phone and called his mom’s cell phone after a couple rings she finally answered. “Easy Nick it’s my son…Hey honey” Gretta said “Uh hi mom did I interrupt…things?” Henry asked “Oh no we…we’re good now just finished actually…How’s BeachSide you and little Hennery having fun?” “Actually mom we’re not at BeachSide we came back late last night because of an emergency, Jim had a heart attack and is in a coma right now” “What?!” Gretta gasped loudly “Oh no! If there was anyone who he could trust outside his kids it’d be Gretta. The Female bear has done so much for them and they’ve don alot for her in helping raise Henry to be a kind loving bear he is today. “Oh mom I forgot to tell you” JJ spoke up “Uncle Leroy’s been trying to reach you all day, he’s got important news for you” “Oh!” Michael gasped then looked at Eric “Iit’s still plugged into the wall over there Eric could you hand it over to me please?” “Sure thing” He nodded and unplugged it then handed it over to Michael Michael took it and powered it up. When it powered up all the way he saw he had 7 missed calls from Leroy and two Voice mails he listened to them both. “Hey Bubba it’s Leroy, I’ve been trying to call you 5 times already, please answer soon I got a huge announcement I want you to hear from me call me back love you bye“ Michael quirked his head at the message and deleted it and went on to the next message. “Hey Michael it’s Leroy, I just got off the phone with JJ and he told me what happened with Jim, I am so Sorry your going through this bubba I went through a similar thing with my first wife and well…Jim’s going to wake up though I swear by it he will, but um I actually wanted to give you some good news, I’m engaged again this time to a pretty young Vixen, named is Rebecca…Never thought I’d get married again at 54. As the end of the hour loomed JJ and Fern stood up and said they should go so they can relive Fern’s parents for the night. They all exchanged hugs and promised to be there bright and early and maybe bring Rose with them. A short while after they left Tim popped in to check on them. “JJ and husband went home” he asked? “Yeah” Michael said. Tim nodded and came over to check Jim’s vitals and everything.and made notes to his charts. “Oh Tim” Michael piped up “We’re going to be heading home soon and we Have a close friend of the family come by and take our place for tonight” “Mind if I ask who?” Tim asked “My mom” Henry said softly “Her names Gretta.” Michael explained “She’s going to be here in my place watching him is that ok?” Tim looked at Michael a moment thinking. “I suppose it should be alright, but if anything does come up I’ll contact you directly as well” Tim said Michael nodded understandingly and looked to the door way just as Gretta stepped in. Michael stood up and made his way over and hugged the female bear tight “Thank you for coming” “Your family to me I had to” Gretta said hugging the wolf tightly Michaels tail wagged hearing Gretta refer to him as family and he smiled a bit. They let go and Gretta looked over and saw jim and made her way over to him. Tim saw the bear and smiled. “You must be Gretta, I’m Dr.Tim, I’m Chief supervisor and surgeon” “Nice to meet you” Gretta smiled “I’m set to be here tonight to keep an eye on Jim for Michael” “I heard” Tim Nodded “I’ve already made a note on Jim’s chart for the shift change, Raymond’s a Hyena too and a a nice guy you two will be in good hands” “Thank you” Gretta said pulling up a chair, As she sat down Henry asked if he could use her car since there wasn’t enough room in the truck for the 6 of them. Francine followed Henry and Michael and hopped in as David Julia and and Eric drove passed. Francine sat in back insisting Michael take the front which he did. Once they were all in and buckled Henry back out and made his way for home. No one spoke a word most of the way home. He saw David Eric and Julia talking in the dinning room but couldn’t make out what was being said. Almost an hour went by till Francine called everyone for dinner. He went upstairs to Henry’s room and looked at his bed. He remembered how heavy it was going upstairs, but right now it just looked so comfortable. Michael stripped out of his clothes and laid down on the bed and passed out. Henry came up a few hours later as the evening started to wind down. The bear opened his door quietly and saw Michael was already in bed. He smiled seeing him naked and under the covers. Henry nodded as the wolf headed out. He made his way down the hall as quietly as possible to his and Jim’s room and noticed the door was closed. As stealthily as he could he opened the door and slipped inside. As he made his way to the dresser his ear perked at some soft moans from Francine. At first he dismissed it as them dreaming as he got his cloths. Then he heard it “Ooh right there Eric” His eyes widened and he couldn’t help but look. His heart raced as he saw two lumps under the covers moving around in a precarious way. He just smirked and made his way out quietly shaking his head.
