"You wash your paws Jimmy?" The older racoon asked reading the news paper.
the hyena shook his head "Didn't need to go, was just reflecting, and planning"
Cooper put his paper down and watched as his son sat on the couch beside him. he was as unaware as Michael was about his plot but had his suspicions. he gave a smile and pet is thigh.
"Something on your mind son?" Cooper asked with a smile.
Jimmy nodded and gave a smile "Michael and I...we've known each other most of our lives. We've lived together and had some of our best sex together...and I love him more then anything in this world..."
As the words of his hyena son's words trailed off, things began to click in the racoon's mind. call it an adopted parents intuition. Cooper had a feeling this day would come where his boys would one day find love in each other and couldn't be any happier.
"You have my permission James." Cooper said with a smile "Not that you need it really. I had a feeling you boys would elope one day"
Jimmy looked at cooper a mixed of happy but a little confusion "How'd you know?"
"Aside from those midnight and almost being late because of early morning butt fuckery? I've seen you two look at each other, and witnessed you two, despite some setbacks, manage to work together to make each other whole" Cooper explained.
Jimmy nodded. The only setback came when Jimmy had an affair with a bully that was picking on Michael. The wolf was furious at Michael and it nearly broke them apart. Jimmy explained he only did it because he figured if he did it with the bully he'd leave Michael alone for good. it nearly worked until he saw the bully and thugs picking on him still and jimmy nearly got expelled after taking a wooden bat to every one of the thugs. ever since then Jimmy's always been there for Michael as a knight in shining armor.
Jimmy was about to speak when he heard Michael pull up in his truck. The wolf was away at a job interview with a contractor company. Jimmy looked at Cooper and quickly asked "if Michael got it I'll do it, can you take a picture?"
Cooper nodded and got his camera phone ready. just as Michael walked in with a look of glee on his face. He noticed daddy and jimmy on the couch and came over grinning.
"You get the job?" Cooper asked
"They want me to start next week" Michael said in almost a squeal.
Jimmy and cooper gave a hearty laugh as they both stood up giving Michael a big hug. "That is so awesome!" Jimmy said.
"Proud of you hon, you'll build lots of great buildings!" Cooper said with a smile.
"I sure hope so!" Michael beamed "gods I'm so happy I wanna celebrate with my bubba and daddy right now!"
Cooper looked at jimmy with a "Get him now tiger" look. "might wanna hold off on that a moment, I think Jimmy wants to ask you something"
Michael looked puzzled a moment at Cooper then to Jimmy "What's going on?"
The hyena took a breath and stepped forward holding Michael's paws with a smile
"Michael, I've known you my whole life, and loved every single day of it. we've had our ups and downs and we've never left each other behind. I don't know what challenges the future will hold but I know one things for sure...."
Jimmy could see a single tear in Michael's eye as he reached for the small box in his back pocket. once he fished it out he let go of Michael's paws and got down on one knee while cooper got his phone ready.
"...I want to face those challenges as your loving faithful husband...will you marry me Michael?" Jimmy asked as he opened the box revealing a sparkling wedding ring.
Michael gasped and covered his mouth with both paws. The wolfs eyes were as wide as saucers and tears were lowing down his cheek as. he looked between the box and jimmy's smile. Finally the wolf's knees gave out as he was on his knees with jimmy staring at him eye to eye.
Michael removed his paws after deep breath and shouted "FUCK YES!" before hugging jimmy tight crying happy tears on his shoulder.
Jimmy held Michael tight as he let out all his happiness. Cooper took as many pictures of the moment as he could. Michael calmed down after minuet or two and allowed jimmy to place the ring on his paw and the two just stared at it smiling happily unaware of the adventures life had in store for them, but they knew one thing was for sure. they'd go through it together as one.
