Boooring, what kinda trainer just sits around and talks to themselves all day? Not a ‘me’ trainer, that’s who. I’d walk around all day and catch so many Pokemon I’d fill a whole truck every day! I’m gonna start right now so I can get to the good stuff!\n\nI got a big old pile of clothes. Ugh, Mom probably wants me to talk about that first since she got mad at me last year when I didn’t wear any of Grandma’s shirts. Grandpa got me a big, comfy sweater with an Eevee face on it. It's not even itchy this year! Socks socks socks, so many socks. Mom threw all my old socks away. They’re all white anyway, and they have holes! This year I get to wear pink ones. *giggles* \n\nOk, ok. I guess Grandma was right about a pair of good socks. Love you Gramma, I miss you!\n\nOh, I got a biiiiiiiig Snorlax pillow, so big and fluffy it's just like the real thing. I’m laying on it right now!\n\nI got a Munchlax doll, a Scrafty Doll, and an entire Tanya Trainer Tote! The really really big one with working Pokeballs and the berries and the medicine and the everything! There’s so much in the backpack I don’t think I’ll ever be able to count it all.\n\nI’m joking, I can count real good. Dad would be mad if I forgot that. Haha.\n\nGiftmas is always more fun at Grandpa’s. He’s got me up in the attic with the little heater and all my candy and all my new toys. Grandpa let me ride old Arcanine and we went all the way to the neighbor’s hill where they had their Piloswine make a big old ice slide, it was like a roller coaster. We went so fast! Grandpa showed me how to make a fire with a bunch of sticks and wood and a lighter and then he made hot cocoa in an old tin pot from the army days. Then I ran around the house with Tanya and I planned everything out, mmhmm. I’m gonna be an ice type trainer. I wanna build a whole castle out of ice and make people have to bring me candy before I kick their butts and give them badges. Oh, and don’t tell Grandpa, but I snuck into the cellar looking for Zubats and found a secret tunnel out to the orchard! It’s a metal door and it's full of rust and nasty black dust that I got all over my hands and my knees, blegh. I can still taste it. I wiped it all off before anyone saw. Don’t you say nothing, y’hear?\n\nOh, and I saved the best for last. \n\nDaddy and Mommy got me my very first Pokemon! I got a Buneary! My own Buneary! *screaming* Suck it, Toshi! Aaaanyway, Dad says if I wanna have my big present I gotta keep a diary, like a big trainer would. Boooring, what kinda trainer just sits around and talks to themselves all day? Not a ‘me’ trainer, that’s who. I’d walk around all day and catch so many Pokemon I’d fill a whole truck every day! I’m gonna start right now so I can get to the good stuff!
I got a big old pile of clothes. Ugh, Mom probably wants me to talk about that first since she got mad at me last year when I didn’t wear any of Grandma’s shirts. Grandpa got me a big, comfy sweater with an Eevee face on it. It's not even itchy this year! Socks socks socks, so many socks. Mom threw all my old socks away. They’re all white anyway, and they have holes! This year I get to wear pink ones. *giggles*
Ok, ok. I guess Grandma was right about a pair of good socks. Love you Gramma, I miss you!
Oh, I got a biiiiiiiig Snorlax pillow, so big and fluffy it's just like the real thing. I’m laying on it right now!
I got a Munchlax doll, a Scrafty Doll, and an entire Tanya Trainer Tote! The really really big one with working Pokeballs and the berries and the medicine and the everything! There’s so much in the backpack I don’t think I’ll ever be able to count it all.
I’m joking, I can count real good. Dad would be mad if I forgot that. Haha.
Giftmas is always more fun at Grandpa’s. He’s got me up in the attic with the little heater and all my candy and all my new toys. Grandpa let me ride old Arcanine and we went all the way to the neighbor’s hill where they had their Piloswine make a big old ice slide, it was like a roller coaster. We went so fast! Grandpa showed me how to make a fire with a bunch of sticks and wood and a lighter and then he made hot cocoa in an old tin pot from the army days. Then I ran around the house with Tanya and I planned everything out, mmhmm. I’m gonna be an ice type trainer. I wanna build a whole castle out of ice and make people have to bring me candy before I kick their butts and give them badges. Oh, and don’t tell Grandpa, but I snuck into the cellar looking for Zubats and found a secret tunnel out to the orchard! It’s a metal door and it's full of rust and nasty black dust that I got all over my hands and my knees, blegh. I can still taste it. I wiped it all off before anyone saw. Don’t you say nothing, y’hear?
Oh, and I saved the best for last.
Daddy and Mommy got me my very first Pokemon! I got a Buneary! My own Buneary! *screaming* Suck it, Toshi! I got a Pokemon now too!

I don’t know what’s wrong. Cocoa must be feeling bad. She doesn’t wanna practice, I saw her crying all alone in the yard a couple days ago. It was the same day all the kids in school had that really bad nightmare and I woke mom and dad up. Since then she won’t listen to me or snuggle or play or anything. She’s been hiding in the closet and doesn’t want to come when I tell her to. She won’t even look at me!
I tried telling Mom and Dad and Dad says I need to talk it out and figure it out. “That’s how the big girl trainers do it, honey!” He said I probably did something that upset her, but I wouldn’t do anything to hurt my Cocoa!

I’m grounded.
Dad and Mom said we couldn’t go to the Center to check on Cocoa like they promised. We checked last time and they said to come back in a week. I’m so mad. Cocoa probably misses me. The Pokecenter is sooo boring, she’s probably gonna die.
They canceled school too. That’s great, I guess, but I can’t go anywhere! Mom won’t even let me sit on the porch. What’s it raining Rockets or something?
It’s been a week and Daddy keeps saying the car is broke. I went and got the keys out of mom’s purse and turned the car on and it works just fine! I tried getting out and walking to the Center myself and a Jenny brought me back home and yelled at Mom and Dad.
Dad was really mad. He’s been at home every day and he’s been really grouchy. He smacked me on the bum and now I’m up here.
What am I supposed to do?! Everyone says I'm supposed to be a good trainer and take care of my Pokemon! They should let me call the Pokecenter and check at least.

Dear Diary,
Did they forget about me? I don’t have any idea how long it’s been, how many days have been down here? Like, a hundred? It’s cold, It’s hard to breathe, and it's starting to smell really really bad.
Grandpa left all his emergency stuff down here. I found blankets and an old army bed. There’s barrels of water. I can’t get the water into a cup, but I found some hose in the medicine boxes and I started drinking from them like a big ol’ soda.There’s cans of food. I can’t get into those yet, they’re too hard to open. But there’s plenty of these bags of just stuff. They don’t taste great, but they aren’t bad, either.
Except the Febass Casserole ones. Bleh. They can stay in the poop bucket corner where they belong.
And I’ve played that stupid game on this thing ten times! It sucks!
I keep hearing noises outside. A lot of noises at night. Maybe all the angry Pokemon calmed down?
When I yelled earlier I didn’t hear any scratching noises.
Ugh, I can’t do this anymore.
I’m gonna use the secret tunnel. It’s gross, but who cares, I haven’t had a bath in a million years!
I’m gonna take a peek, just wanna see if it's safe. I’ll be back, ok?
