AND MAKE THEM TALK??? so...yeah, ok, mocap is a thing on anime now. got it....and....once i turned my retrograd asshole chip off....i saw them, those lil bits of animation. those lil reactions, those litlle glimpses of life and humanity on the characters....holy shit. i was missing it. the same thing i was saying anime had lost, life, it was there, but with a new presentation.\n\nthere are two amazing moments for me on this first season. two moments that really show how good this series is once you get over the fact that it is not hand drawn.\n\nfirst one, when juno meets haru...first....lemme say this...I LOVE JUNO, SHE IS MY LADY, SHE ROCKS, PERIOD. she is amazingly underexplored, both on the anime and in the manga. but even so. she is super likeable, even when she is supposed to be the jealous bitch (pun intented) trying to win legoshi's heart. i mean....she is a wolf. and her design is so adorable....i do respect how itagaki toys with archetypes, most of the really evil guys, are not the ones you think. and most of the good ones...either. ok, back to the scene. juno meets haru at the school. after one of the most comical chasing sequences ever, juno traps haru on the stairs. and the moment juno sniffs haru...wow. that was pure and simple character development. juno was making it clear she was going to fight for legoshi. BUT, SHE ALSO KEEPS HER STATUS AS FRESHMAN. haru is a senior, it creates a shogun and samurai like thing....it's a catfight....with ranks. i mean, it's so unconventional. it's so different from the classic \"you bitch, he is mine, not yours, ill get him away from ya, bitch\" thing, juno know legoshi likes haru, and she wants to win him, not just take him away from haru. very good, itagaki sensei, very good.\n\nthe second moment, is the theater play. when legoshi and the tiger (sorry, i forgot his name...i suck at names.) have their fight, and everyone thinks it's part of the show, and legoshi is basically about to be fatality'ed, and louis jumps in wearing a death's head mask....I'LL SHOW YOU THE REAL FACE OF DEATH..that moment was so amazingly done....again....amazing\n\nthe beastars anime is like sushi....at first,. all you can see is raw fish, sticky rice and seaweed, and your obvious reaction is HELL NO, I AM NOT EATING THAT. but then....you try it. and wow....the raw fish, sticky rice and seaweed taste heavenly good. because, beastars the anime is better than its parts. i mean....once you dive into it. yeah, you get hooked.\n\n\ni have spent the last couple years loathing anime, hey, it's not like i had no reasons to....but, thing is. yeah, ALL RULE HAS ITS EXCEPTIONS. and man, here comes beastars, an anime about anthros...and one of the best adaptations from a manga i have seen in years.\n\n\nand yes....the trailer for season two is what got me into watching season one, i neeeded the context, to know what was left out from the manga. and....i must say, SO FAR. it's pretty damn close to it. not page by page perfect, but very close.\n\n\nso...yeah....i arrived late to the beastars party. and yes, I AM THE FIRST ONE TO ADMIT I WAS WRONG, AND BIASED ABOUT ANIME. there are still jewels among the crap.\n\n\n\n\nbut....digimon tri, digimon reboot and bna still suck ass.","description_bbcode_parsed":"wow...guys....you can be really presistant when you want to, eh?
