master splinter and the turtles gave their best to stop shredder from detonating the M BOMB over centric city. but the explosion happened.
after that, while the turtles dealt with the foot clan soldiers, splinter met oroku saki in battle again. but this time. both masters knew it was their last battle. shredder used his mutagenic powers against splinter, taking one of master splinter's eyes. the elder rat almost lost his life, but then, splinter managed to strike down shredder. and even after the horrible thing he had done, splinter wanted shredder to face justice instead of revenge. but oroku saki had other plans, as he performed seppuku, shredder swore he would find the way back from hell to kill splinter. hamato yoshi saw shredder die, and was unable to do anything to stop it...or maybe, he chose not to do anything.
shredder was gone, for good. the turtles and splinter had defeated their main enemy for the last time, but the foot clan was still there. and so was karai. but, to everyone's surprise, karai decided to surrender her leadership of the foot clan to splinter, "i want you to carry the curse of the foot clan over your shoulders, if that burden consumes your soul as it consumed my father's...that will be my revenge, if not. call me whenever you need my help...hamato yoshi." after those words, karai, and some foot clan ninjas loyal to her left the city, into the underground. nothing has been known of karai after that night.
but the turtles were not okay with hamato yoshi leading the foot clan. specially leonardo. father son argued hardly about it. and then lee decided to leave his father and his brothers. splinter had his heart broken, but he knew leonardo needed time to adapt to this new era, it was understandable that the foot clan left many bitter memories in the minds of the turtles and splinter himself.
10 years after the M DAY
master splinter continues leading the foot clan, but now, it is a martial arts school, to teach the nnmutants the proper use of their skills and unwanted gifts. splinter is now retired from fighting, but he still has his rank as daimio of the foot clan and leading sensei he supreme ninja council. the m bomb also had effects on his already mutant anatomy, rejuvenating him and prolonging his lifespan, as far as everyone concerns, hamato yoshi is now immortal. but, the master was alone, his sons had left, donatello decided to join the centric city police department as tech consultant, leonardo, had his own dojo in south america, raphael leads the second branch of the foot clan with his wife, ninjara. and mikey is now a cartoonist for an online newspaper. trying to make a normal life with venus de milo, his wife.
splinter was alone, until the day he met leatherhead. the mutant alligator arrived at the foot clan main temple looking for training to become a better fighter, splinter welcomed him and trained him, slowly, but discovered their feelings towards each other, and decided to become a couple, and then marry. now, leatherhead lives with master splinter and the elder rat starts a new life as master of the foot clan, husband and ambassador to etheria on earth.
