"writing": "Poképhilia Story\nLove Has No Bounds\n\nThe Day It Came to End\n By J.C. Solis\n \n It was a Sunday. It was a time that should have been spent with cheer and joy with another day of worship at the Church of Arceus. It should have been another Sunday unlike any other, with patrons going past the marble columns of the front door and into the foyer with smiles on their faces. The fact that so many people suffered through what happened was more than just a travesty. It was an act of pure evil. It was an act that only someone so remorseless and callous with human and pokémon life could have done. It was something that no morally conscious man or woman should have ever been capable of doing.\n And yet here was Justin Solis, looking on at the rubble that was the inner chamber of the church. The bodies strewn across the floor, both human and pokémon, was a sight that no man should ever have to witness. And yet the fact remained clear to him as he looked on with a face so mortified that no words could describe it. His grief welled up inside, seeing the calamity that lay before him. He knew then and there that there would be no coming back from today. He knew that his life would be changed from then on. And though nobody close to him was hurt, just the fact that he was the intended victim, the man that a terror group wanted gone so badly that they were willing to create so much collateral damage, he knew he would never be safe again – nor would those closest to him.\n Today was the day that Lakeshire Town would mourn. Today was a day that would stick with the poor man for the rest of his life.\n Today was the day that Justin Solis would be marked for dead. And nowhere in the whole of the Daegar Region would he be sage…\n \n It was a Saturday unlike any other, with Justin and his partner Lillia spending some time with his cousin Sarah and her pokémon, Virgil the Zoroark. It started a bit nerve-wracking, with him once again receiving another death threat via the mail. Though a few years prior would have caused him alarm, or scared him shitless, nowadays these threats hardly caused him to shrug. All he did was turn this letter over to the police so that they could investigate who was threatening the man and his family. Even the police were rather jaded by the letters, with them constantly working with the Solis family to keep them safe.\n Even his older cousin, Detective Cecil Robinson, was doing his best to keep both him and his father safe, the police detective constantly checking up on the man and his family in the hopes of keeping them away from harm.\n For now, Justin, Sarah, and their Pokémon just walked over to the nearby PokéPark to spend some time out in the sun on this Spring morning. There was a lot of ambiance throughout the day, and the children and smaller pokémon were out and about playing around. It was such a carefree joy that was infectious, with everyone making merry now that the season of revival had arrived. The flowers were in full bloom, and the bug pokémon were sucking up the nectar and pollinating the plants, with the bee pokémon bound to make plenty of honey for those who harvest it to enjoy.\n “You know, I wish all days were like this,” noted Justin as he sat on the park bench with Sarah, Lillia, and Virgil. “I wish the days before all this mess with Team Shroud would come back.”\n “I wish those days were back, too, cousin,” replied Sarah. “I want to enjoy being out and about with Virgil here almost as much as you do with Lillia.”\n “At least when we do go out, I protect My Flower with my very life,” joined Virgil the Zoroark. “No one will so much as touch a hair on her head with me around.”\n “I feel the same with my master, Virgil,” added Lillia the Gardevoir.\n Justin just slumped his head, feeling exhausted over all of these matters that have plagued him, his family, and his friends.\n “In all honesty, I kinda feel as though I shouldn’t have gotten involved with this mess. I feel like it's my fault for stepping in to protect others that I’m now being hunted.”\n “It’s not your fault, Master!” interjected Lillia. “You were doing a commendable thing. You helped people and you became an advocate for love and peace. The people look up to you, and they see you as a beacon of hope for them.”\n “But at the cost of putting those whom I care for most in danger,” rebuked Justin.\n “We chose to join you in this danger, Justin,” reminded Sarah. “All of your friends, from Saria to Jason, Francine, and even Natasha are all with you. And their pokémon are also with you as well. We want to advocate for Poképhilia, and we won’t stop until our voices are heard.”\n It was then that a sinister aura could be felt behind the four.\n “Ah, yes, your voices were indeed heard, much to the disdain of our lord,” said a menacing voice.\n The cousins and their pokémon turned around and saw three men wearing shrouded robes, with them looking intently at Justin.\n “What the hell do you monsters want?!” demanded Justin with anger. “Are you here for a fight?”\n “No, but perhaps it is rather tempting to go ahead and kill you while you are vulnerable.” At saying this, Lillia and Virgil got ready for a fight, with Lillia’s eyes glowing and Virgil bearing his claws and fangs. On seeing this, the leader of this group smiled, amused by these pokémon’s loyalty. “But we are not here for a fight. Rather, we are here to play a little game with you. One that, if you lose, will result in more than just your death.”\n “’ More than my death?’” wondered Justin. “Are you planning on murdering a bunch of innocent people just to send your sick message?”\n “We will see if we murder or not. Just know that the lives of your family, friends, those closest to you, and a vast group of people are in danger. I will say no more.”\n At this, the team member threw down a smoke screen ball, the area being filled with smoke. With the cloud fading away, the friends were left with morbid curiosity. They wondered what the Team Shroud members meant by bringing mass death. But one look at where the cultists were revealed a letter on the ground. Perhaps this was a vital clue to the things that Team Shroud wanted to do.\n Suddenly, another man yelling could be heard.\n “Justin! Little sister!” cried out the voice of none other than Cousin Cecil, along with his partner Rachel the Meowscarada. The detective came rushing forward, glad to see that his cousin and sister were safe. “Thank Arceus I got here. I saw some goons accosting you, and so Rachel and I came running as quick as we could.”\n “It’s fine, big bro,” replied Sarah. Her tone was much friendlier now; time had healed the rift between brother and sister for the most part. “But it sure was scary. We even got this letter here that the goons left behind.”\n “A letter? Then let’s see what’s inside. I have a feeling that whatever it is will prove vital.”\n Justin got out his pocket knife and cut the letter open, bringing out a piece of paper with some strange symbols on it. The symbols and the words inside were hand drawn, though what the words meant was something that the three couldn’t decipher. It merely read:\n \n “For those whose hallowed heresies come to pray to their Lord, The Beast.\n For on this day, all will soon pay, as Our Lord will come and feast.\" \n \n “What does this mean?” wondered Sarah as she pondered the meaning of the letter. “Hallowed heresies? And what’s this about our Lord The Beast? Do they mean Arceus?”\n “I’m not certain, Sarah,” added Justin. “As for these symbols here, I believe these are some kind of astrological markings. But I don’t know what they mean.”\n The pokémon looked at each other, wondering what the mystery paper would mean.\n “I do not know the meaning of these symbols, lest I have been able to decipher them by now,” said Virgil lamentingly.\n “I hope our trainers can figure it out, though. This all sounds dangerous,” noted Lillia.\n “Well, I for one am not looking forward to having to decipher a pictogram left behind by these lunatics,” scoffed Rachel. “These bozos have nothing better to do than to cause trouble. And this time I spend chasing them around could be better used for a cuddle session with my man.”\n Cecil sighed with a bit of embarrassment when he heard these words. But in the end, he knew that he would have to take this image to the station with him. He would need to contact some kind of specialist who dealt with the occult, and it would have to be done quickly.\n “I don’t suppose you guys know of a medium around here that can help me decipher the meaning behind these pictograms,” asked Cecil. “If I can’t find out what this means, then we might be too late by the time this ‘Lord’ of Team Shroud comes to feast.”\n “I don’t usually believe in that stuff,” said Justin. “Besides, my dad will get upset if I Arceus forbid go to one, with him being a pastor and all that.”\n “Uhh… well… I know of one,” admitted Sarah with a bit of embarrassment. “I only went there once, though! I got curious as to something about my future, and I went to one in the downtown district.”\n Justin and Cecil looked at each other, but in the end, they decided against remarking on it.\n “Well, let’s head on over there. Before we lose any more time. Rachel and I’ll keep your guys’ backs safe while we head over there,” said Cecil. “While protocol prohibits me from involving civilians, you guys are in this mess as much as I am, and I don’t feel comfortable leaving you guys after that recent spat with Team Shroud.”\n The three agreed and headed down the road, with Cecil getting in his Hellcat Charger while Justin and Sarah got into the GT500. The two cars drove down the streets to the downtown district, where they parked in a parking lot that was close to an insignificant corner plaza. But one look at a shop with a sign that read “Psychic 101” was enough to let the gang know that they arrived.\n The six got out of their vehicles and went to the shop of this so-called psychic. Cecil opened the door and a bell that was attached to it rang. The room smelled heavy of incense and spice, the typical stereotype of a mystical shop that supposedly had supernatural powers. The shop had all sorts of merchandise, from incense to necklace charms and even aromatic oils of different kinds. There were even Battle Items that pokémon could use to help them in combat. The shop was much more than just some kooky psychic charlatan’s shop, and perhaps for this reason, the shop has remained in business for so long. It offered much more than a psychic reading.\n Off at the very back of the shop, though, was the shopkeeper meditating on a mat on the floor, with an Abra and a Kadabra sitting on either side of her. The shopkeeper had her eyes closed, meditating in a way that made her appear to be lost in thought, almost as though she was close to achieving nirvana.\n “Hello there, Mister Robinson. And you too, Miss Robinson and Mister Solis. I knew that your arrival was more than certain.”\n “Wah! You know who we are?” cried Sarah.\n “Well, I am a psychic. I can also tell you that you came here for something important. Perhaps it is something to do with these recent spades of happenings with a certain terrorist group?”\n At this, even Justin was spooked by how accurate the medium’s predictions were. But Cecil was more skeptical, for the Abra’s and Kadabra’s eyes glowed whenever the medium gave her predictions. Her powers were not her own, but in the end, he didn’t care. All he needed was to solve this mystery before something bad happened.\n “Are you Miss Parapaneshi?” asked Cecil. “The name is Detective Cecil Robinson, and I come here in need of your help.”\n “I’m not a psychic detective, Mister Robinson. I don’t want to get involved in that kind of business, for many people already doubt my abilities. And the last thing I need is for people to think of me as even more of a charlatan than they already consider me,” replied Miss Parapaneshi. “But if I remember correctly, you came here for me to reveal the secrets behind some pictograms on the letter you received from Team Shroud, right?”\n “Okay, this is starting to get spooky,” noted Justin at how the medium was so accurate with her predictions. It seemed that she truly was the real deal.\n “Spooky or not, that is true. We don’t know what this pictogram means, and I have a bad feeling that this means something bad is about to happen. I was hoping you could help us, Miss Parapaneshi. If you help us prevent this catastrophe, then I’m certain the town government will repay you for it.”\n Miss Parapaneshi looked at Cecil with a smile. But it wasn’t the smile of a miser, but rather the warm smile of someone with integrity.\n “The town can keep its money, Detective Robinson. If this was about money, then just so you know I run a successful business here that more than keeps my pockets full. I do this because I too believe that many lives are in danger if I don’t decipher what this graph means. Why would I ask for money when so much is at stake?” said the Medium. “However, I do ask more than anything that you give me time. These symbols were indeed crafted by master astrologists, and it will take even a master astrologist like me time to decipher the meaning behind them.”\n Cecil, Justin, and Sarah agreed. They would have to wait and see what the medium managed to decode from the drawings on the letter, and Miss Parapaneshi gave the estimation of her completing the process at around tomorrow morning. For now, the three trainers and their pokémon left the Medium’s shop and went to the parking lot. From here they planned what to do next.\n “Tomorrow is the Great Easter Celebration over at the Church of Arceus,” reminded Justin. “I got a bad feeling about that event, though I hope that not even Team Shroud would be cruel enough to ruin that, would they?”\n “At this point, I don’t believe that Team Shroud would rule that out. These monsters would gladly hurt as many people as they could to send their message,” noted Cecil.\n “Should we warn Uncle Cristian and tell him to cancel the service?” wondered Sarah.\n “No. That will only cause panic,” replied Justin. “Besides, with tomorrow being such an important day, I doubt that even he’d be able to stop people from coming over to worship.”\n The three trainers wondered what to do next. There was nothing they could do except wait the following day to see what would happen at the Easter celebration.\n For now, the three got into their cars and went for the Solis residence, where they hoped to deliberate on what would come next. Pastor Solis would be home, and the three would need to counsel him on their recent findings. For sure the pastor would appreciate the warning, and so would enact the proper safety protocols to keep the worshipers who came to church safe.\n For now, there was nothing else that could be done. It was only a waiting game from now on…\n \n It was now Easter Sunday, with the crowds gathering all around the Church of Arceus as the worshipers came to celebrate such a beautiful day. Justin was now with his friends and their pokémon, with the Pokephiles taking the front-row seats as the crowds began to gather inside. The usual aroma of coffee and sweet bread filled the room as people took part in sharing the complimentary beverages and treats. But that was not all, for there were mountains of food in stalls outside of the building. Vendors were selling all kinds of dishes and treats, with the proceeds of the event going to the church’s ventures in spreading the word of The Alpha and giving aid to the poor and more destitute.\n And Pastor Solis was not one to misuse the money of the Church. The Pastor always made sure that the money was well spent in many regards, whether it be the Church’s food bank or the free meal eatery where the homeless or people with low income could come over to have a warm meal to help them get through tough times. The church truly did wonderful things, and while the Pastor may have been guilty of buying a few nice things here and there, he still mainly used the church’s money for the church’s mission of peace and goodwill.\n But the warning that Pastor Solis received from his son, niece, and nephew the previous day put the man on high alert. Just the thought that the terrorist group would want to harm churchgoers made his blood boil. Yet he also knew that he couldn’t just cancel the celebration. His hands were tied, and he hated this feeling. But on his part, he did ask for the town council to provide as many police officers as they could, with the town sending over half a dozen officers and their pokémon partners to guard the event should something happen.\n In the end, though, the pastor also didn’t want too many officers to not make the churchgoers worry about a possible problem. Today was meant to be a day of celebration, and the church wanted to provide as warm and entertaining a venue as it could.\n But Justin was still not content. His thoughts wandered, and his nerves were high. As he looked at the crowds of people who arrived, he wondered who among them were secret agents and spies planted by Team Shroud to cause a commotion. His eyes darted back and forth even as he sat in his seat in the front row alongside his friends. Saria, Jason, Kiara, Fran, Rose, and even Natasha were all there, as were their new friends Lloyd and his partner Maryanne. The whole gang was present, and this should have been enough to quell the worry on the man’s face.\n Yet his worry could not be abated.\n Lillia, using her psychic powers, could tell that her trainer was feeling the sheer panic that was inside of her trainer’s head. She knew that he was wondering where among the crowd Team Shroud could be. At this, she wrapped an arm around her lover’s neck, pulling him close to her as she tried to reassure him that everything would be okay.\n For his part, Cecil was at the entryway from the Foyer to the Main Chamber, making sure that nothing was going on. Underneath his suit were twin handguns with high-capacity magazines, just in case this turned into a shoot-out. And his men outside were also heavily armed just in case as well.\n After the crowds settled down in their seats, the church music began to play gospel music, the crowd singing along to the songs as the merriment of the day began to take hold. And from here there was no turning back. The crowd was ready to make this a memorable Easter, and everyone and their pokémon were just so happy to be here to celebrate.\n As the music died down and the pastor commenced his teaching, Cecil received a phone call from someone very important. And it would be this call that would turn out to be the most vital call of his life and that of everyone in the room.\n “Miss Parapaneshi! Please tell me you have good news!” said Cecil in a somewhat loud voice.\n “News I have, but none of it is good,” replied the medium in a dire tone. “Get everyone out of there as quickly as possible! The pictograms tell me of an attack that is to happen around High Noon! Hurry, before it is too late!!!”\n Cecil’s face turned white as he knew right then and there what was going on. He looked at his watch and saw that it read 11:55 AM. With this in mind, he sprinted into the main chamber for the Pastor’s pulpit alongside Rachel, the two creating a commotion as they grabbed hold of the pastor’s microphone to make their dire announcement. Rachel went ahead to fill in the pastor of the news, and Justin and Lillia stood up to go for his father and cousin, seeing clearly that his worst fears had come true.\n “Everyone! Listen to me! This is an emergency! I want you all to get out of your seats and leave the church as orderly and quickly as you can!” announced Cecil.\n Justin asked Cecil what was happening. The detective only grimaced as he revealed the truly horrific truth:\n There was a bomb in the church, and if everybody didn’t leave now then it would cause mass death and destruction.\n Pastor Solis immediately began to usher his followers out of the building, with Cecil and Justin doing their part to help the people leave. Though the people didn’t know what was going on, they knew that it must have been something grave for the pastor to usher everyone outside. But as the rumors began to circulate like wildfire, the notion that a bomb was somewhere inside the building began to cause people to panic. The crowd then began to turn fearful, the masses trying to fit through the doors of the building as fast as they could.\n Justin looked at his watch and saw that only thirty seconds remained. His friends had all left by now, their pokémon partners with them as they left through the back exits. But shockingly, some people were still sitting at their seats, perhaps not afraid of the threat that the church faced. Perhaps they thought that Arceus would protect them from all harm and would not allow for whatever evil was being plotted to happen.\n All of that piety would mean nothing in the end when the clock struck noon.\n A loud boom filled the entirety of the building, the shockwave knocking people outside of the building to the floor, the church began to collapse from all over as more explosions began to go off, with the walls crumbling and toppling over as the roof began to cave in. The people began to panic as more explosions went off, the sound of so many screams filling the air as the church was being torn to shreds. Cecil, Justin, Rachel, and Lillia were still trapped inside the building with the stubborn churchgoers as everything around them began to crumble, the four huddling close together.\n One final explosion destroyed what remained of the inner chamber of the building, with the roof collapsing and crushing anything and everything below. The explosion was so strong that it sent a shockwave that caused the whole of Lakeshire Town to tremble. It was such an event that what rubble remained caused by the smaller explosions was thrown as shrapnel all over the place, hitting the people who managed to escape that ranged from slight gashes to mortal wounds.\n All that remained of the church was now rubble. But despite the explosions, Cecil and Justin pushed the layers of the roof off of them. Lillia used her powers to create a shield to protect them all from the explosions and the collapsing roof, saving the four despite being in the epicenter of the blasts and the roof collapse.\n But all around them was the sign of an enormous travesty. Bodies were strewn on the floor and within the rubble, some of them appearing mangled and bloodied by the explosions. There was hardly anything left of the church building, too, with the place a heap of shredded material and finery. It was a hellscape that had so much travesty and despair, the people outside of the church wondering who could have done such a thing.\n And poor Justin could hardly contain his emotions. On seeing the sight of the dead, the sight of the building he and his father worked so hard to maintain and keep in order, and to see their combined goodwill be destroyed so callously, the man didn’t know how to keep himself in control. As he was coming out of his survival mode and began to realize more and more of his situation, there was a growing feeling of rage, sorrow, and fear in his heavy heart and his balling tears. Cecil, Rachel, and Lillia all carried the ailing man out of the ruins, where they met their still-living friends and the Pastor at the front of the church.\n Nobody had a smile or even so much as a good feeling about them. Nobody could have predicted that something like this could ever happen. And the worst part was the uncertainty in the lives of those affected by this horrific event. As emergency services came to the scene to tend to the injured and dying, the sheer magnitude of this event became known. News would spread all over the Daegar Region over how so many people were callously murdered for some maniacal terrorist group’s mantra, and how even a house of The Alpha was not immune to such blasphemy.\n At this, Justin’s knees buckled as he collapsed to the floor, his friends coming to his aid as he balled in tears. Though he didn’t lose anyone too close, he lost something that was just as important: his innocence. He witnessed evil at an unprecedented level. And this would be an evil that had a lot of blood on its hands for what had happened.\n The Lord of Team Shroud had finally come to feast on the masses. And it delighted in the blood of the innocents that were spilled on this day.\n",

Solis<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; It was a Sunday. It was an act that only someone so remorseless and callous with human and pok&eacute;mon life could have done. It was something that no morally conscious man or woman should have ever been capable of doing.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; And yet here was Justin Solis, looking on at the rubble that was the inner chamber of the church. The bodies strewn across the floor, both human and pok&eacute;mon, was a sight that no man should ever have to witness. And yet the fact remained clear to him as he looked on with a face so mortified that no words could describe it. His grief welled up inside, seeing the calamity that lay before him. He knew then and there that there would be no coming back from today. He knew that his life would be changed from then on. And though nobody close to him was hurt, just the fact that he was the intended victim, the man that a terror group wanted gone so badly that they were willing to create so much collateral damage, he knew he would never be safe again &ndash; nor would those closest to him.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Today was the day that Lakeshire Town would mourn. Today was a day that would stick with the poor man for the rest of his life.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Today was the day that Justin Solis would be marked for dead. And nowhere in the whole of the Daegar Region would he be sage&hellip;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; It was a Saturday unlike any other, with Justin and his partner Lillia spending some time with his cousin Sarah and her pok&eacute;mon, Virgil the Zoroark. Even the police were rather jaded by the letters, with them constantly working with the Solis family to keep them safe.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Even his older cousin, Detective Cecil Robinson, was doing his best to keep both him and his father safe, the police detective constantly checking up on the man and his family in the hopes of keeping them away from harm.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; For now, Justin, Sarah, and their Pok&eacute;mon just walked over to the nearby Pok&eacute;Park to spend some time out in the sun on this Spring morning. There was a lot of ambiance throughout the day, and the children and smaller pok&eacute;mon were out and about playing around. It was such a carefree joy that was infectious, with everyone making merry now that the season of revival had arrived. The flowers were in full bloom, and the bug pok&eacute;mon were sucking up the nectar and pollinating the plants, with the bee pok&eacute;mon bound to make plenty of honey for those who harvest it to enjoy.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo; You know, I wish all days were like this,&rdquo; noted Justin as he sat on the park bench with Sarah, Lillia, and Virgil. &ldquo;I wish the days before all this mess with Team Shroud would come back.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;I wish those days were back, too, cousin,&rdquo; replied Sarah. &ldquo;I want to enjoy being out and about with Virgil here almost as much as you do with Lillia.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo; At least when we do go out, I protect My Flower with my very life,&rdquo; joined Virgil the Zoroark. &ldquo; No one will so much as touch a hair on her head with me around.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;I feel the same with my master, Virgil,&rdquo; added Lillia the Gardevoir.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Justin just slumped his head, feeling exhausted over all of these matters that have plagued him, his family, and his friends.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo; In all honesty, I kinda feel as though I shouldn&rsquo;t have gotten involved with this mess. I feel like it&#039;s my fault for stepping in to protect others that I&rsquo;m now being hunted.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo; It&rsquo;s not your fault, Master!&rdquo; interjected Lillia. &ldquo; You were doing a commendable thing. You helped people and you became an advocate for love and peace. The people look up to you, and they see you as a beacon of hope for them.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo; But at the cost of putting those whom I care for most in danger,&rdquo; rebuked Justin.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo; We chose to join you in this danger, Justin,&rdquo; reminded Sarah. &ldquo; All of your friends, from Saria to Jason, Francine, and even Natasha are all with you. And their pok&eacute;mon are also with you as well. We want to advocate for Pok&eacute;philia, and we won&rsquo;t stop until our voices are heard.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; It was then that a sinister aura could be felt behind the four.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;Ah, yes, your voices were indeed heard, much to the disdain of our lord,&rdquo; said a menacing voice.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The cousins and their pok&eacute;mon turned around and saw three men wearing shrouded robes, with them looking intently at Justin.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo; What the hell do you monsters want?!&rdquo; demanded Justin with anger. &ldquo; Are you here for a fight?&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo; No, but perhaps it is rather tempting to go ahead and kill you while you are vulnerable.&rdquo; At saying this, Lillia and Virgil got ready for a fight, with Lillia&rsquo;s eyes glowing and Virgil bearing his claws and fangs. On seeing this, the leader of this group smiled, amused by these pok&eacute;mon&rsquo;s loyalty. &ldquo; But we are not here for a fight. Rather, we are here to play a little game with you. One that, if you lose, will result in more than just your death.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;&rsquo; More than my death?&rsquo;&rdquo; wondered Justin. &ldquo; Are you planning on murdering a bunch of innocent people just to send your sick message?&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo; We will see if we murder or not. Just know that the lives of your family, friends, those closest to you, and a vast group of people are in danger. I will say no more.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; At this, the team member threw down a smoke screen ball, the area being filled with smoke. With the cloud fading away, the friends were left with morbid curiosity. They wondered what the Team Shroud members meant by bringing mass death. But one look at where the cultists were revealed a letter on the ground. Perhaps this was a vital clue to the things that Team Shroud wanted to do.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Suddenly, another man yelling could be heard.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;Justin! Little sister!&rdquo; cried out the voice of none other than Cousin Cecil, along with his partner Rachel the Meowscarada. The detective came rushing forward, glad to see that his cousin and sister were safe. &ldquo;Thank Arceus I got here. I saw some goons accosting you, and so Rachel and I came running as quick as we could.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo; It&rsquo;s fine, big bro,&rdquo; replied Sarah. Her tone was much friendlier now; time had healed the rift between brother and sister for the most part. &ldquo; But it sure was scary. We even got this letter here that the goons left behind.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;A letter? Then let&rsquo;s see what&rsquo;s inside. I have a feeling that whatever it is will prove vital.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Justin got out his pocket knife and cut the letter open, bringing out a piece of paper with some strange symbols on it. The symbols and the words inside were hand drawn, though what the words meant was something that the three couldn&rsquo;t decipher. It merely read:<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo; For those whose hallowed heresies come to pray to their Lord, The Beast.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; For on this day, all will soon pay, as Our Lord will come and feast.&quot; <br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo; What does this mean?&rdquo; wondered Sarah as she pondered the meaning of the letter. &ldquo;Hallowed heresies? And what&rsquo;s this about our Lord The Beast? Do they mean Arceus?&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;I&rsquo;m not certain, Sarah,&rdquo; added Justin. &ldquo; As for these symbols here, I believe these are some kind of astrological markings. But I don&rsquo;t know what they mean.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The pok&eacute;mon looked at each other, wondering what the mystery paper would mean.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;I do not know the meaning of these symbols, lest I have been able to decipher them by now,&rdquo; said Virgil lamentingly.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;I hope our trainers can figure it out, though. This all sounds dangerous,&rdquo; noted Lillia.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;Well, I for one am not looking forward to having to decipher a pictogram left behind by these lunatics,&rdquo; scoffed Rachel. &ldquo; These bozos have nothing better to do than to cause trouble. And this time I spend chasing them around could be better used for a cuddle session with my man.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Cecil sighed with a bit of embarrassment when he heard these words. But in the end, he knew that he would have to take this image to the station with him. He would need to contact some kind of specialist who dealt with the occult, and it would have to be done quickly.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;I don&rsquo;t suppose you guys know of a medium around here that can help me decipher the meaning behind these pictograms,&rdquo; asked Cecil. &ldquo; If I can&rsquo;t find out what this means, then we might be too late by the time this &lsquo;Lord&rsquo; of Team Shroud comes to feast.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;I don&rsquo;t usually believe in that stuff,&rdquo; said Justin. &ldquo;Besides, my dad will get upset if I Arceus forbid go to one, with him being a pastor and all that.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;Uhh&hellip; well&hellip; I know of one,&rdquo; admitted Sarah with a bit of embarrassment. &ldquo;I only went there once, though! I got curious as to something about my future, and I went to one in the downtown district.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Justin and Cecil looked at each other, but in the end, they decided against remarking on it.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;Well, let&rsquo;s head on over there. Before we lose any more time. Rachel and I&rsquo;ll keep your guys&rsquo; backs safe while we head over there,&rdquo; said Cecil. &ldquo; While protocol prohibits me from involving civilians, you guys are in this mess as much as I am, and I don&rsquo;t feel comfortable leaving you guys after that recent spat with Team Shroud.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The three agreed and headed down the road, with Cecil getting in his Hellcat Charger while Justin and Sarah got into the GT500. The two cars drove down the streets to the downtown district, where they parked in a parking lot that was close to an insignificant corner plaza. But one look at a shop with a sign that read &ldquo;Psychic 101&rdquo; was enough to let the gang know that they arrived.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The six got out of their vehicles and went to the shop of this so-called psychic. There were even Battle Items that pok&eacute;mon could use to help them in combat. The shop was much more than just some kooky psychic charlatan&rsquo;s shop, and perhaps for this reason, the shop has remained in business for so long. It offered much more than a psychic reading.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Off at the very back of the shop, though, was the shopkeeper meditating on a mat on the floor, with an Abra and a Kadabra sitting on either side of her. The shopkeeper had her eyes closed, meditating in a way that made her appear to be lost in thought, almost as though she was close to achieving nirvana.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;Hello there, Mister Robinson. And you too, Miss Robinson and Mister Solis. I knew that your arrival was more than certain.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;Wah! You know who we are?&rdquo; cried Sarah.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;Well, I am a psychic. I can also tell you that you came here for something important. Perhaps it is something to do with these recent spades of happenings with a certain terrorist group?&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; At this, even Justin was spooked by how accurate the medium&rsquo;s predictions were. But Cecil was more skeptical, for the Abra&rsquo;s and Kadabra&rsquo;s eyes glowed whenever the medium gave her predictions. Her powers were not her own, but in the end, he didn&rsquo;t care. All he needed was to solve this mystery before something bad happened.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo; Are you Miss Parapaneshi?&rdquo; asked Cecil. &ldquo; The name is Detective Cecil Robinson, and I come here in need of your help.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;I&rsquo;m not a psychic detective, Mister Robinson. I don&rsquo;t want to get involved in that kind of business, for many people already doubt my abilities. And the last thing I need is for people to think of me as even more of a charlatan than they already consider me,&rdquo; replied Miss Parapaneshi. &ldquo; But if I remember correctly, you came here for me to reveal the secrets behind some pictograms on the letter you received from Team Shroud, right?&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;Okay, this is starting to get spooky,&rdquo; noted Justin at how the medium was so accurate with her predictions. It seemed that she truly was the real deal.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;Spooky or not, that is true. We don&rsquo;t know what this pictogram means, and I have a bad feeling that this means something bad is about to happen. I was hoping you could help us, Miss Parapaneshi. If you help us prevent this catastrophe, then I&rsquo;m certain the town government will repay you for it.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Miss Parapaneshi looked at Cecil with a smile. But it wasn&rsquo;t the smile of a miser, but rather the warm smile of someone with integrity.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo; The town can keep its money, Detective Robinson. If this was about money, then just so you know I run a successful business here that more than keeps my pockets full. I do this because I too believe that many lives are in danger if I don&rsquo;t decipher what this graph means. Why would I ask for money when so much is at stake?&rdquo; said the Medium. &ldquo; However, I do ask more than anything that you give me time. These symbols were indeed crafted by master astrologists, and it will take even a master astrologist like me time to decipher the meaning behind them.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Cecil, Justin, and Sarah agreed. They would have to wait and see what the medium managed to decode from the drawings on the letter, and Miss Parapaneshi gave the estimation of her completing the process at around tomorrow morning. For now, the three trainers and their pok&eacute;mon left the Medium&rsquo;s shop and went to the parking lot. From here they planned what to do next.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;Tomorrow is the Great Easter Celebration over at the Church of Arceus,&rdquo; reminded Justin. &ldquo;I got a bad feeling about that event, though I hope that not even Team Shroud would be cruel enough to ruin that, would they?&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo; At this point, I don&rsquo;t believe that Team Shroud would rule that out. These monsters would gladly hurt as many people as they could to send their message,&rdquo; noted Cecil.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;Should we warn Uncle Cristian and tell him to cancel the service?&rdquo; wondered Sarah.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo; No. That will only cause panic,&rdquo; replied Justin. &ldquo;Besides, with tomorrow being such an important day, I doubt that even he&rsquo;d be able to stop people from coming over to worship.&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The three trainers wondered what to do next. There was nothing they could do except wait the following day to see what would happen at the Easter celebration.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; For now, the three got into their cars and went for the Solis residence, where they hoped to deliberate on what would come next. Pastor Solis would be home, and the three would need to counsel him on their recent findings. For sure the pastor would appreciate the warning, and so would enact the proper safety protocols to keep the worshipers who came to church safe.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; For now, there was nothing else that could be done. It was only a waiting game from now on&hellip;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; It was now Easter Sunday, with the crowds gathering all around the Church of Arceus as the worshipers came to celebrate such a beautiful day. Justin was now with his friends and their pok&eacute;mon, with the Pokephiles taking the front-row seats as the crowds began to gather inside. The usual aroma of coffee and sweet bread filled the room as people took part in sharing the complimentary beverages and treats. But that was not all, for there were mountains of food in stalls outside of the building. Vendors were selling all kinds of dishes and treats, with the proceeds of the event going to the church&rsquo;s ventures in spreading the word of The Alpha and giving aid to the poor and more destitute.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; And Pastor Solis was not one to misuse the money of the Church. The Pastor always made sure that the money was well spent in many regards, whether it be the Church&rsquo;s food bank or the free meal eatery where the homeless or people with low income could come over to have a warm meal to help them get through tough times. The church truly did wonderful things, and while the Pastor may have been guilty of buying a few nice things here and there, he still mainly used the church&rsquo;s money for the church&rsquo;s mission of peace and goodwill.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; But the warning that Pastor Solis received from his son, niece, and nephew the previous day put the man on high alert. Just the thought that the terrorist group would want to harm churchgoers made his blood boil. Yet he also knew that he couldn&rsquo;t just cancel the celebration. His hands were tied, and he hated this feeling. But on his part, he did ask for the town council to provide as many police officers as they could, with the town sending over half a dozen officers and their pok&eacute;mon partners to guard the event should something happen.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In the end, though, the pastor also didn&rsquo;t want too many officers to not make the churchgoers worry about a possible problem. Today was meant to be a day of celebration, and the church wanted to provide as warm and entertaining a venue as it could.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; But Justin was still not content. The whole gang was present, and this should have been enough to quell the worry on the man&rsquo;s face.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Yet his worry could not be abated.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Lillia, using her psychic powers, could tell that her trainer was feeling the sheer panic that was inside of her trainer&rsquo;s head. She knew that he was wondering where among the crowd Team Shroud could be. At this, she wrapped an arm around her lover&rsquo;s neck, pulling him close to her as she tried to reassure him that everything would be okay.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; For his part, Cecil was at the entryway from the Foyer to the Main Chamber, making sure that nothing was going on. Underneath his suit were twin handguns with high-capacity magazines, just in case this turned into a shoot-out. And his men outside were also heavily armed just in case as well.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; After the crowds settled down in their seats, the church music began to play gospel music, the crowd singing along to the songs as the merriment of the day began to take hold. And from here there was no turning back. The crowd was ready to make this a memorable Easter, and everyone and their pok&eacute;mon were just so happy to be here to celebrate.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; As the music died down and the pastor commenced his teaching, Cecil received a phone call from someone very important. And it would be this call that would turn out to be the most vital call of his life and that of everyone in the room.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;Miss Parapaneshi! Please tell me you have good news!&rdquo; said Cecil in a somewhat loud voice.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;News I have, but none of it is good,&rdquo; replied the medium in a dire tone. &ldquo;Get everyone out of there as quickly as possible! The pictograms tell me of an attack that is to happen around High Noon! Hurry, before it is too late!!!&rdquo;<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Cecil&rsquo;s face turned white as he knew right then and there what was going on. He looked at his watch and saw that it read 11:55 AM. With this in mind, he sprinted into the main chamber for the Pastor&rsquo;s pulpit alongside Rachel, the two creating a commotion as they grabbed hold of the pastor&rsquo;s microphone to make their dire announcement. Rachel went ahead to fill in the pastor of the news, and Justin and Lillia stood up to go for his father and cousin, seeing clearly that his worst fears had come true.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &ldquo;Everyone! Listen to me! This is an emergency! I want you all to get out of your seats and leave the church as orderly and quickly as you can!&rdquo; announced Cecil.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Justin asked Cecil what was happening. The detective only grimaced as he revealed the truly horrific truth:<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; There was a bomb in the church, and if everybody didn&rsquo;t leave now then it would cause mass death and destruction.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Pastor Solis immediately began to usher his followers out of the building, with Cecil and Justin doing their part to help the people leave. Though the people didn&rsquo;t know what was going on, they knew that it must have been something grave for the pastor to usher everyone outside. But as the rumors began to circulate like wildfire, the notion that a bomb was somewhere inside the building began to cause people to panic. The crowd then began to turn fearful, the masses trying to fit through the doors of the building as fast as they could.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Justin looked at his watch and saw that only thirty seconds remained. His friends had all left by now, their pok&eacute;mon partners with them as they left through the back exits. But shockingly, some people were still sitting at their seats, perhaps not afraid of the threat that the church faced. Perhaps they thought that Arceus would protect them from all harm and would not allow for whatever evil was being plotted to happen.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; All of that piety would mean nothing in the end when the clock struck noon.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A loud boom filled the entirety of the building, the shockwave knocking people outside of the building to the floor, the church began to collapse from all over as more explosions began to go off, with the walls crumbling and toppling over as the roof began to cave in. The people began to panic as more explosions went off, the sound of so many screams filling the air as the church was being torn to shreds. Cecil, Justin, Rachel, and Lillia were still trapped inside the building with the stubborn churchgoers as everything around them began to crumble, the four huddling close together.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; One final explosion destroyed what remained of the inner chamber of the building, with the roof collapsing and crushing anything and everything below. The explosion was so strong that it sent a shockwave that caused the whole of Lakeshire Town to tremble. It was such an event that what rubble remained caused by the smaller explosions was thrown as shrapnel all over the place, hitting the people who managed to escape that ranged from slight gashes to mortal wounds.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; All that remained of the church was now rubble. But despite the explosions, Cecil and Justin pushed the layers of the roof off of them. Lillia used her powers to create a shield to protect them all from the explosions and the collapsing roof, saving the four despite being in the epicenter of the blasts and the roof collapse.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; But all around them was the sign of an enormous travesty. Bodies were strewn on the floor and within the rubble, some of them appearing mangled and bloodied by the explosions. There was hardly anything left of the church building, too, with the place a heap of shredded material and finery. It was a hellscape that had so much travesty and despair, the people outside of the church wondering who could have done such a thing.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; And poor Justin could hardly contain his emotions. On seeing the sight of the dead, the sight of the building he and his father worked so hard to maintain and keep in order, and to see their combined goodwill be destroyed so callously, the man didn&rsquo;t know how to keep himself in control. As he was coming out of his survival mode and began to realize more and more of his situation, there was a growing feeling of rage, sorrow, and fear in his heavy heart and his balling tears. Cecil, Rachel, and Lillia all carried the ailing man out of the ruins, where they met their still-living friends and the Pastor at the front of the church.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Nobody had a smile or even so much as a good feeling about them. Nobody could have predicted that something like this could ever happen. And the worst part was the uncertainty in the lives of those affected by this horrific event. As emergency services came to the scene to tend to the injured and dying, the sheer magnitude of this event became known. News would spread all over the Daegar Region over how so many people were callously murdered for some maniacal terrorist group&rsquo;s mantra, and how even a house of The Alpha was not immune to such blasphemy.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; At this, Justin&rsquo;s knees buckled as he collapsed to the floor, his friends coming to his aid as he balled in tears. Though he didn&rsquo;t lose anyone too close, he lost something that was just as important: his innocence. He witnessed evil at an unprecedented level. And this would be an evil that had a lot of blood on its hands for what had happened.<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The Lord of Team Shroud had finally come to feast on the masses. And it delighted in the blood of the innocents that were spilled on this day.<br /></span>",
