Soon, the entire world would undergo a radical genesis. Establishing a new, and stable, hierarchy.\n\n-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\n\nMary Jane Watson had just arrived home from the theater; weary from a long day's work. She sighed, pushing her key into the lock and turning it. Unaware that a new, tasteless, and odorless substance had permeated the air.\n\n-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\n\nIt started out as a small itch, the kind everyone commonly experienced from time to time. Something that the girl paid no heed to, not until the itch intensfied into a dry sensation. Disbelief crossed her features in the instant that she noticed green scales erupting over her hands. Not even allowing Miss Watson to elicit a scream within the time it took her fingers to sprout claws. She flexed the digits with morbid curiousity; despite the hard leathery scales, they were just as easy to move as they'd always been. Horrified, she realized that this wasn't the only change her body was undergoing. Already able to feel the overall expansion of her form and face. There was no need to look down, the very feeling and sound of tearing leather told the girl all she needed to know. Claws: Deadly sharp, capable of rending whatever was desired. Their reptilian configuration complemented the muzzle that was erasing her previous visage.\n\nIt all hurt so much! She shut her eyes and grasped her elongated, mostly hairless skull. A vain attempt to quell the assault of changes, both physical and mental.\n\n'Who, what am I?'\n\nMemories clouded and dissolved into a hazy fog that she found difficult to sort out. Anyone present would have been hard pressed to be able to identify that this individual was the lovely Miss Jane. Her head had been cleansed of all human features; ears, hair, nose, all molded into a primordial testament. She could feel herself losing control, the beast wanted out. Continuing to shape her form into what it desired, with a developing tail. In her mind, it cornered her. She shut her eyes, feeling it symbolically mauling her humanity. Gone, in most aspects of the word. The remains of clothing tore free and yielded for a glorious new form. What refused to do so, was ripped away by the snarling lizardess. She let herself fall, embracing the feeling of being on all fours. A sense of freedom and instinct surged through Miss Jane, in unison with a final surge of growth. And for one last moment, she glimpsed the image of a red-haired girl in her mind. Lying dead, throat torn out, and body mutilated.\n\nThe creature's yellowed, reptilian eyes hid a feral intelligence that would make her well-suited to the new world. Driven by animal instinct meshed with human intelligence, she felt a need to reproduce take hold. The most basic desire of all living things.\n\n-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\n\nIt did not take long for the mating call to be answered with a loud roar that sent shivers down her spine. There was a male, nearby and willing. He sounded big, healthy. With surprising agility, the female leaped through the window of what would likely become a nest. It took mere moments for her to notice him; Big and healthy, just as she had expected. Nothing else mattered for her as she presented herself, hearing the other's advance. He examined her for a moment, then plunged into the female's folds with a hiss. Moving one of her thickly muscled legs out of the way, to better mate. The coupling was not for pleasure, not for love. But for survival. Spurring a climax to occur as quickly as they had met. They felt the other expend themselve's, dismounting with labored hisses and feral grunts. Satisfied in an instinctual sense. It all hurt so much! She shut her eyes and grasped her elongated, mostly hairless skull. A vain attempt to quell the assault of changes, both physical and mental.
'Who, what am I?'
Memories clouded and dissolved into a hazy fog that she found difficult to sort out. Anyone present would have been hard pressed to be able to identify that this individual was the lovely Miss Jane. Her head had been cleansed of all human features; ears, hair, nose, all molded into a primordial testament. She could feel herself losing control, the beast wanted out. Continuing to shape her form into what it desired, with a developing tail. In her mind, it cornered her. She shut her eyes, feeling it symbolically mauling her humanity. Gone, in most aspects of the word. The remains of clothing tore free and yielded for a glorious new form. What refused to do so, was ripped away by the snarling lizardess. She let herself fall, embracing the feeling of being on all fours. A sense of freedom and instinct surged through Miss Jane, in unison with a final surge of growth. And for one last moment, she glimpsed the image of a red-haired girl in her mind. Lying dead, throat torn out, and body mutilated.
The creature's yellowed, reptilian eyes hid a feral intelligence that would make her well-suited to the new world. Driven by animal instinct meshed with human intelligence, she felt a need to reproduce take hold. The most basic desire of all living things.

It did not take long for the mating call to be answered with a loud roar that sent shivers down her spine. There was a male, nearby and willing. He sounded big, healthy. With surprising agility, the female leaped through the window of what would likely become a nest. It took mere moments for her to notice him; Big and healthy, just as she had expected. Nothing else mattered for her as she presented herself, hearing the other's advance. He examined her for a moment, then plunged into the female's folds with a hiss. Moving one of her thickly muscled legs out of the way, to better mate. The coupling was not for pleasure, not for love. But for survival. Spurring a climax to occur as quickly as they had met. They felt the other expend themselve's, dismounting with labored hisses and feral grunts. Satisfied in an instinctual sense. For they had just ensured the continued propagation of their species.
