Sadly, sometimes it just doesn't work. In the face of this most recent loss...\n\nI arrived here not very long ago. As in this particular time line. I just used the mana we had been saving. Magic is real in this world, but the energy behind it is fairly scarce. It seems in this time line it is worse. While we can jump or shift timelines, we don't really have the experience of controlling where we end up. I think it might have to do with imagery. \n\nWhile I don't know what happens to the one who was here, perhaps flung into a mid-life crisis or a fantastical dream realm? It isn't too difficult here, just is taking a little getting used to. Some things just have to happen or my work will be disrupted.\n\nWe call the Body's parents once a week. There is usually nothing to talk about. I think they suspect that something is amiss. They likely assume drug abuse or gambling debt. Some times it is like they know the child is gone, which is why they so desperately cling to what was before [i]I[/i] was. I do care about them. They were like the other time line's parents. They aren't those people. Not anymore. \n\nIt is particularly rough around holidays or birthdays. Yes. Another year has gone by. No we are not going to go along with your plans because we're actually trying to get something done and no amount of cake and entertainment will make it happen. Not for this one. Okay. Sometimes we agree on trivial things. \n\nActually, it is pretty cozy and passes for human interaction. \n\nIt brings to mind some of the esoteric teachings of the realm.
