Hanan Iscelberg Rat Sr. and his wife Rachela are soon expecting a new member to the family.
They already argue over what the cub's name will be before they even know if it is going to be a male or female...There was no ultrasound back in 1916 to tell before birth......BTW, it is a male.
And he's pink because rats are little "pinkys" when they are born.
According to what the parents agreed on, he will have the name Yardin Iscelberg Rat.
Among others who will be in Yardin's life at cubhood will be the alternate family chauffeur, Atimu Mink.
There is also the first chauffeur, Horus Linsang...But Yardin won't really get to know him...Horus retires after 30 years of faithful service, and with a generous pension, which is shortly after Yardin is born.
Yardin will know Jake Jackal though. At this time, Atimu Mink is training Jake to be a chauffeur. Jake Jackal will become the family's alternate chauffeur, and Atimu Mink will be first Chauffeur when Horus Linsang retires.
And a lifetime of abundant financial wealth awaits little Yardin...His family, back in 1916, are what would be multi-billionares in today's economy.
In my Zander the Bad Apple story, I even have the time of Yardin Rat's death at age 91 in the year 2007.

The five hundred thousand pounds Zander inherited didn't last long either (Egyptian pounds exchanged for Indian rupees). Back on the day when Zander received his inheritance money, he had already gone out and spent $134,000 to purchase an American built Dodge Viper, then spent $55,000 on a full restoration job on his 1954 Lancia Aurelia sports car (the one with the circular grill...the one Cheesah Meerkat would kick the quarter panel in on 8 years later). Of the binturong cub Zander circumcised and stitched his penis up side down, the cub's parents successfully sued Zander for the equivalent of $200,000 in rupees of that money (some of which to go for genital restoration for the cub). During the time Zander's medical license had been in suspension, he was without an income for those six months, so Zander lived down some of that money during those six months. Zander plowed through more than another $100,000 in attorney's fees, over the next two and a half years, trying to sue his family's estate for the twenty five million pounds Zander figured he was entitled to...but to no avail. As for the few thousand rupees left, Zander lavishly squandered it within several weeks. In less than three years, all of Zander's inheritance money was gone.
Incidentally, on April 27th, 2007, less than two years after Daddy Rat passed away, Zander's Great Uncle Yardin had passed away in his sleep at age 91 (the late Hanan III's youngest uncle). Because of Zander's hostile falling out with the family over "not getting 25 million pounds" when Daddy Rat's estate was settled, the family had been no longer talking to Zander ever since. Zander's Great Uncle Yardin had been dead for over a year and Zander never knew anything about it...Zander being in Salem, India and the family being in Egypt.
