Ion was walking down the street when the 2 of them approached him after seeing his mechanical arm when Ion walked by. Ion not wanting to divulge the secrets to his customized arm, blew them off and walked away from them. The scientists followed Ion and when he walked around a corner, they decided to strike and ended up knocking out Ion. Latter Ion awoke to find himself lying naked on a cold table as on of the scientists were placing something on his penis, preventing it from getting erected in the cold environment. He was strapped down and unable to move as the 2 scientists examined every inch of his naked body, looking for any previous incisions.  They found the obvious ones around his shoulder and down the side of his belly but got intrigued when they found the hidden one down the centre of his chest after they pulled back some of his chest fur. Wanting to get a closer look, 1 of the scientists took a scalpel and mage an incision down the centre of Ion's chest down to his belly exposing his sternum and abdominal organs. As they pulled and pinned the fur  back, Ions intestines became loose and started sliding out. After thoroughly examining Ion's abdominal cavity and finding nothing of interest, they decided to move on to the chest. One of the scientists started breaking and removing ribs from Ion's left side which made him scream out in pain. Annoyed, the other scientist muzzled Ion so that they could now hear him scream anymore. After removing all of Ion's left ribs, they cut out his left lung which exposed Ion's heart as his pericardial sac was removed when his mechanical arm was attached. They found a device grafted to Ion's heart which they traced cables running back to his mechanical arm. The scientists determined that the device on Ion's heart was powering his mechanical arm with his heart beat when they were forcefully stopping and starting Ion's heart without any regard for Ion's life. All Ion could do is lie there in excruciating pain as he when in and out of consciousness as his heart stopped and started. The scientists continued dissecting Ion, pulling apart the arm and the shoulder where it was connected to, to learn all they could about how it functioned.
