With all the wires in Ion's chest exposed, Oliver grabbed Ion's new synthetic heart and started connecting them all. While Oliver was busy with that, Meeka started grafting special connectors to Ion's major blood vessels that would connect to his new heart. \n\nOnce all preparations were complete, Oliver simply snapped Ion's new heart into place, adding screws around the connector plates to fully attach the new hart to them. Once each port was securely fastened, Oliver gave Ion's new heart a few tugs to make sure it would not come loose. Meeka then pumped a bit of water into Ion's new heart to make sure there was no leaks and to make sure no air would get into Ion's circulatory system when the clamps were removed and blood could start flowing through it. Once Meeka was sure no leaks were happening, Oliver removed each clamp on Ion's major blood vessels going into his new heart, allowing blood to start flowing through it but the bypass machine was still doing all the work. This allowed the synthetic heart to basically charge as it was powered by the blood flowing through it as itself pumped blood through Ion's body, basically as long as Ion's blood was flowing the heart could function and pump blood through his body allowing it to flow. The synthetic heart didn't need all that much energy to beat, leaving plenty to be transferred to Ion's mechanical arm and anything else should he need it in the future. \n\nThey waited a few minutes then finally turned on Ion's new heart, the power switch being directly on it to prevent ant remote tampering, the only way to turn the heart on or off was to open up the patient and physically do it.
