So it's been a few minutes since I last work with this family of characters.  I thought this story thread was just left hanging, and needed to by drawn tight. So here we are.

From a technical point of view, I used InvokeAI and Photoshop.  I took the old image and uses it as a global IP control net, in order to carry forward some of the look and feel of the original image.  I played around with it a bit, editing prompts, models, lora, seeds, etc.  Eventually, I ended up with an image that is the Control Image in the post.  This was part way to what I was looking for, so I used it as a Sketch Control Net and went back to playing with models and prompts.  Sometimes, you just have to give the RNG Gods thier pound of flesh to make them play nice with you.  I was looking for a low angle shot and eventually I got a really nice base.

Of course, THEN I got to play with inpainting, edits, hand retouches, more inpainting, more retouches and eventually we ended up here.
