“Umm, I think I’d like to watch a movie,” Aruna said, nodding and smiling.

“Do you have a movie picked out already?” Ravi asked, wondering what kind of secret Alex has been talking about.

“Not offhand, though we’ve got several you could choose from,” David answered. “Do you and your sister have any restrictions on what you can or cannot watch? We didn’t let Alex watch R-rated movies until after shi turned ten. Honestly, if it hadn’t been for hir being introduced to sex so early, we would have waited until shi turned sixteen.”

“Mom and Dad let us watch PG-13 movies, as long as they’re not too violent,” Ravi said with a little nod. “Oh. No horror movies; they give Aruna nightmares.”

“No horror movies then,” David said, nodding. “So... have you two seen Star Wars?” the older white tiger asked.

Alex’s eyes lit up. If not for the fact that shi’d just taken a bite of pad thai, shi would have said something.

“No,” Ravi said, shaking his head a little. “Sounds interesting though.”

“What’s it about?” Aruna asked, tilting her head a little. “It sounds like lots of lasers and stuff.”

A clatter came from the end of the table as Alex dropped hir fork, staring at both Ravi and Aruna in utter disbelief. After a second, shi swallowed. “Well, it’s a good thing it’s summer vacation, ‘cause you’re not going back to your parents until you’ve seen all of them. Or... at least the original three.” Shi shook hir head, muttering to hirself. “I can’t believe it... they’ve never seen Star Wars...”

Ravi shrugged in apology. “Sorry. Are they really that good?”

“They’re considered to be some of the best movies ever made,” David said. “Definitely in the top ten highest grossing films of all time. The original three movies came out in the late 70s,” he explained. “They may not have much in terms of special effects compared to today’s movies, but at the time they were revolutionary. And it’s an amazing story as well. An epic tale of good versus evil.”

“I don’t mind staying here for a while,” Aruna said, looking around the table. “Sounds like a good movie to build a snuggle pile and then pig out on popcorn and snacks. Ooooh can we do that?” she asked Alex’s parents.

“Whatever you want,” Raenne said, “as long as you three go take a shower after dinner. You need it,” she said, pointing at Aruna.

“Hey, I don’t smell that bad,” Aruna protested.
