The staff in hand, Timmy found, also, he was in possession of a warren of very stylized rabbits, who regarded the staff-toting Timmy as their keeper: their protection from the wolf cubs who denned nearby.\n\nAnd so it was that Timmy spent most of his day 'round the warren, keeping watch over the rabbits.\n\nThe day had hitherto been uneventful for Timmy, though the wolves and their fox friend were not far away, and Timmy's presence had not gone by them unobserved.\nThe predators had seen and experienced keepers before, but none quite like Timmy.
